I made an appt for 1130 on Saturday, knowing that I had one hour before I had to leave for work. I got there at 1120, early, I know, but I was sitting waiting to be called for my appt. At 1140, they took me over to a chair and filled the bowl with some water for me to soak in. At 1155, still no service-- I got up and said that I had to leave for work at 1230, I couldn't wait any longer. They offered to do a pedicure in a few minutes, but I said I wasn't going to pay for a quick 30 min pedicure as that wouldn't be relaxing. If someone makes an appt, make sure that it can be honored. People have schedules and rely on the fact that an appt means you will be seen at the designated time. I will not be going back. read more

These nails are press and go and it should've been mentioned. Beyond that if you are selling a product that only last a week, it should not cost the same as a product that last a month. I had made an appointment for two manicures to be done at the same time and when we arrived we had to wait almost 25 to 30 after our appointment was scheduled to have them sit only one of us in a chair. Then 15-20 minutes later. It was my turn only to have them have a pedicure station set up for instead of a manicure. They had a bit of a problem getting things together but it was worth the wait! Will not be returning again. Took two hours to do French tips and my appointment was set at 4:15 and the lady took me at 4:50. There was no music, but I can't admit that the ladies were very nice and greeted me. The lady did not cut my cuticles like they usually do and she took extremely long after she put the nail beads on to file my nails down to correct size but they still looked very wonky. The tables are very thin, so you can't really Scooch in far enough without hitting the other person's legs which made my back hurt a lot since I couldn't be seated back into my chair the whole time. I also asked for chrome which she didn't do because she took way too long and said that they had to close up. Requested the other lady but got one that I have never seen before. The girl I had requested came over to look at my nails she said under her breath "yikes" and sighed. Instead of fixing them she just put cuticle oil on them and said "we can take you up front" which I did not appreciate because that just means that they were rushing to close up because she took so long. She also added about 10 topcoat of this extremely thick and sticky, clear gel polish and it made my nail super thick and it had bubbles forming at the top. Pleasanton Nail Salon actually showed up on my Facebook and I was so incredibly excited to be able to feel like a woman again and get my nails did before my one year wedding anniversary Brandon, was my nail technician and oh my gosh talk about INCREDIBLE customer service. Right away he was so friendly and so talkative and just made you feel like you have known him for years. The nail salon I was going to go into was PACKED. So I called this place up and they were able to take me right away at 5:45 on a Thursday. My first impression of this place was that it was extremely clean and had excellent decor. It really helps you to feel like you're having an actual spa experience rather than suffering through some self-inflicted chore of getting your nails done... I got to sit right away. Cindy would be doing my pedicure and acrylic fill. She gave me a small water bottle and a bunch of painted fake nails to look over. I was to pick out my color. I liked this idea because often times you can't tell what a color is really going to look like in the bottle. I asked her if they did designs. She said it depends. They can't do difficult designs. I showed her what I wanted, which was to mimic the look of sprinkles on a donut. She said she could try. So I picked out what I wanted color-wise and was also handed a menu of what their salon offerings were. This was also a nice touch as it outlines all of the things each treatment entails, rather than a guessing game of looking at a sign board on the wall with some prices. My pedicure was nice. It included a hot stone massage. Everything else was pretty much standard as far as pedicures and fills go. I will point out that Cindy works extremely fast. I was a little skeptical because fast doesn't always mean good, obviously. She commented a lot on how much fake nails were lifting. I'm extremely rough with my nails, constantly hitting them on things and using tools. She fixed all of the lifting and left me with a very natural-looking nail shape. My nails grow extremely fast but are thin and break easily, so I have to have acrylics... ANYWAY, now came the moment of truth: the nail art. The ladies gathered all of the colors that were needed, white, green, red, and yellow to make the sprinkles. Cindy did my pinkie nail first to make sure I liked it. I did! She did all ten of my fingers. She was skeptical at first and so were the other ladies. But guess what! Her and the other lady there loved the results so much that they took pictures of my nails! And one of them was going to do her own nails like that. Something that pretty much all nail salons end up telling me in this area is this: "no one has ever asked for nails like this before." For not specializing in nail art, they did a great job... My nails are so cute! read more

I just left from getting a dip manicure and I am very disappointed because the main reason I went there was because they had 4stars. The girl that did my nails messed them up and filed them very short and made them all uneven when I had grown out my nails and wanted them long as they were. This review is long overdue. I have been coming here for 10+ years with my mom and we absolutely love Pleasanton Nail Salon! The staff is so friendly and they do an amazing job. The (somewhat) recent makeover to the salon also made it very modern and bright, and the chairs are very spread out/covid friendly. We typically get the #1 pedicure, and I've also received regular, gel, and dip manicures. All amazing. I highly recommend Pleasanton Nail Salon for your nails, toes or waxing needs. I work with Nancy and she does excellent work. She is also very kind and caring. I have also used others on occassion and they have been equally as good. I moved from Lafayette to Pleasanton in December and found them on Yelp and have been very happy. Upon walking in the door, they provide you with a bottle of water and no matter what service you are getting, they take their time to provide their clients with a high quality of service. I typically make an appointment as I have a busy schedule and typically don't have time to wait but they do accept walk ins. Plus they are open 7 days a week which is very helpful. read more

I went there with my sister and Mom for Mother's Day. We made an appointment, and good thing we did because they had to turn down all walk-ins (told them to come back in 4 hrs). The place is nice and clean. The ladies were nice and friendly. I'm mostly upset with my manicure. I'm especially upset with myself for not saying anything, but I felt bad (for the lady doing my mani/pedi) because the customer right before me got into an argument with her because of a miscommunication. Supposedly, the customer didn't ask for the callous scrub (extra $5), and the lady did it and charged her. There was a little commotion when we first started, so it was already awkward and there was some tension in the air since the customer had annoyed her. I guess I just didn't want to raise hell too. Sigh. I even feel bad for this review because they were very nice, but every time I look at manicure, I cringe. I can't deny that the service I received was not up to par. Terribly disappointed. Perhaps you don't have to steer clear from the place entirely, but know there's a worker there that does a terrible job and supposedly doesn't listen to her customer. read more

Prices are a little high, but the quality is oh so worth it. They are meticulously clean and properly open a fresh set of autoclaved instruments for each customer. Nancy did a great job and took her time. Massage strokes were a bit rapid, but not bad. Massage duration was longer than most and I left very relaxed. The full works mani/pedi with hot stone is $65 + tip. Highly recommend. They have a great attitude towards walk-ins but do properly reserve resources for appointments. At first, I wondered why the available technician wasn't helping the walk-in that came in behind me (who they told it would be a 15 minute wait). When her appointment arrived a few minutes later, I came to understand. I was glad to see that they didn't inconvenience the customer with an appointment to handle the walk-in. The chairs are good quality and well maintained. One final note... Bring cash for the tip. They take credit cards for the services and products, but not for tips. read more
