Made an appointment for gel manicures for my mom and I and one gel pedi for myself. Upon arriving it was nice and clean and we were seated in a timely manner. My pedicure was great and I had a great massage. Same for my manicure. It was my mom's first time at a nail salon and she loved the experience. They have a wide variety of colors. I love there nude sheer collection. Only thing that they could improve on was the timing with services. At other salons they usually start with the person who has asked for more services so they finish around the same time as their peer. But they started on my pedi while my mom did her mani. Then they started my mani so my mom waited 1.5 hrs more until I was done. Although I appreciate them offering lower prices if you pay with cash. read more

The owner, Lina I think ?, previously owned Alamo nails which I grew up going to and moved here after Covid. She's the best & their prices are very reasonable - I got acrylic gel set and my boyfriend (who they were so sweet to) got a regular manicure with just a clear top coat and we left paying under $100 for both which is virtually unheard of. It's hard for me to get to a salon after work and they have never once made me feel rushed or like an inconvenience even if the appt goes past closing which I appreciate more than they know. I came here in February of 2025 for a neutral color gel mani and I enjoyed my experience and liked how my nails turned out, minus the little black fuzzy stuck in my middle finger gel polish. Because I had an ok experience, I decided to treat my niece to a mani to celebrate our birthdays. She chose gel, but was not happy that her technician chose an accent color for her hearts without asking her what color she wanted. She felt the hearts could have been cleaner and didn't like the bleeding red gel. She wished she could have just done silver sparkles on all 10 nail tips and felt her nails looked like a Valentine's Day set. My niece wasn't happy that the gel didn't cover the sides of her nails well and that it didn't stretch back closer to the cuticle. As for me, I chose a PINK polish and knew with the first swipe that the color looked too purple. I told my nail tech that it didn't look right and that the color didn't match the swatch or number I had chosen. There was a bit of a language barrier and she reassured me it was beautiful and looked nice. I regret not speaking up for myself or my niece and making sure we got what we wanted and what we paid for. A positive star here - I will say, my nieces nail tech was gentle with her and very patient. I felt she genuinely liked being creative and honed into the pre-tween cuteness. I've been a regular customer at this salon for quite some time and have always had a good experience, which makes this visit especially disappointing. I recently got acrylic nails done along with a regular pedicure, but within just two weeks, the acrylics have already started lifting. Yesterday, one of the nails even fell off completely. This is not the quality I've experienced here before. It seems like there may be new staff, and unfortunately, the work didn't meet the usual standards. Now when you show up and expect good service for the money you're paying and it's the complete opposite , they are rushing to get you out and half assing the service, not being gentle and messy( fyi I paid for the extra stone/massage service ) also didn't scrub my feet) . This has been my second time coming to Alcosta Nails. Lena and her team are great! I got the luxury pedicure package with gel nails - a little pricey but so worth it!!!! I came in on a Wednesday afternoon, no appt and asked for a pedicure. There was no wait time, even through there were two other ladies being serviced. Lena took good care of me. I started coming here a couple months ago. The service is okay but I noticed the pricing constantly changing. This last time I was charge $122 for gel pedi/mani with French tip, not including tip. When I questioned pricing I was told gel pedin was $50 and gel mani was $40 and the difference was for French tip on both. $32 for French tip!? I paid it but wasn't happy. But what really got me was, LESS THA. 24HRS LATER, my "French tip" was already chipping! I called them the next day and they said I could go back but I didn't have time. Came here for a pedicure. I got the classic regular pedi and my daughter got gel pedi. For my regular pedicure the woman cut my toenails super short, using a cuticle cutter. I had to tell her to be extra careful when filing because the nail was already cut too short. When she put the nail polish on, she didn't use anything to separate my toes and instead told me to just "relax" my toes so that it wouldn't hit. Needless to say the work on this was not impressive. For my daughters gel pedicure the work it was average at best. There were some bubbles and the design work was just OK. The worst part is after two days two the gel came off two of her toes. (Update: after 5 days 4.5 toes have fallen off). We will not be back. read more

This is the best nail salon in San Ramon, and possibly the entire tri-valley area. The facility is clean, the service is detailed, and the technicians are friendly. I've received both manicures and pedicures here and have saved myself from seeing a podiatrist for some of the issues I've had with my nails. I used to go 1-2 times a year, but I've loved it here so much that I've been going almost monthly simply because they provide great care. My sister and I went to Alcosta nails to get out vacation nails. Fyi: this was our first time going and usually we go to Dublin nails but it was a Sunday at 4pm and every other nail place was closed. Anyway, we had only waited a few minutes before we got started. I had asked for a colorful set with a design (i attached below) The lady began doing my nails and called over the other worker to ask for help. She had explained she didn't know how to do the design I had showed. The other women brought out some type of glitter, in my past experience doing nails I knew that what she was doing was wrong. I explained to her how to do the design but she ended up doing it poorly so I kindly told her I didn't like them and asked for a simpler design of french tips with a flower on my ring fingers. She kindly drilled the colors off but i noticed she left the half drilled top coat on my nails then she continued to paint over the raggedy paint with new top coat and white french tip. (lazy) although they closed at 6 and it was 5:55. (I walked in at 4:45 and I left close to 7) My flower was also half assed. The lady doing my nails was sweet but i do NOT recommend this place unless you want a regular nail job and a nice lady. A week later My nail polish is chipping off. Don't even get me started on my sister's nails, hers are unevenly shaped and so are mine! read more

This place is shady in my opinion. We were in the area not long ago & came in for a gel / acrylic removal. They were like come back to us, we'll do a good job! They proceeded to give my young daughter a gel mani (trust me, I noticed). When they charged me $90, I was like why so expensive? They explained gel mani & I was like I told you guys MULTIPLE times regular polish. What the tech did was push & push & push a young minor into gel. Then tried to up-charge me. I'm not only the adult, I'm paying?! Mind you they cut her & had to use that green antiseptic. I don't recommend at all. They then argued in their language, either talking mess or placing blame.
