This used to be my go to nail place but over the last 8 months or so it's become hit or miss. I will only do gel polish for my nails and don't typically do it very often - maybe 4 times a year. I always schedule an appt because I know a nail salon can be a busy place. If I'm hoping for any type of design I'll let the person know over the phone to see if it's possible. The last few times I've gone here, I kept telling myself - "it's just a bad day, I picked a busy day I should expect this or maybe she's new" but when it happens consistently over the course of 3-4 times in a row. It's time to change places. Most recently I scheduled an appt to get my nails done for vacation. Gel mani and gel pedi. I mentioned to the woman on the phone that I wanted to try and do a two color ombré for my nails is that something they could do? The woman said yes we can. I was excited. I typically do French or just straight polish but I was going to be adventurous. When I get there for my appt I pick out the two colors for the ombré for my nails and pick one of the colors for my toes to be solid. Pedicure was probably one of the better ones I've had there in recent times. The manicurist though says she can't do ombré. I was a little disappointed since I called almost a week in advance and they said they could do it but I told myself it wasn't a big deal. I can just do Normal gel polish. The woman was so quick with my nails, I wasn't even sure she was doing them. She barely used the little nail too smoother thing, passing it once across each nail in less than a second. I asked for no trim, just a shape and file - when I left I had to file some corner because she chipped them. It seemed like she was rushing but at the same time kept telling the woman doing my feet that "you have to do it right" and giving her 'pointers' which I thought was kind of rude. The lotion at the end of a manicure is one of my favorite parts - this time it was slapped on like an after thought and barely rubbed in. Fast forward less than 9 days later and my nail polish keeps getting caught in my hair when I try to wash it. The edges have started to curl. I couldn't stand it anymore and decided to pick it off. To my surprise it came off all in one sheet. I've never had that happen before. The only reason this review has gotten two stars instead of one is because of the pedicurist. My polish is still going strong on my toes and she did the most amazing foot rub with the lotion after. Also the fact that this place used to be my go to. Needless to say I'm in the market for a new nail place as I won't be coming back here again. read more

My manis do not last long, they ALWAYS peel after a couple days, and my pedis always feel super rush. AMAZING! I made an appointment at 3 pm, arrived at 2:55, and was seated immediately. I booked my appointment for a Gel X manicure and the total was $65 including a design. THAT'S SO CHEAP! It only took them 1 hour to finish everything, and I was so pleased with the service. I used a design that I saw they previously did on Yelp because I was a little skeptical at first to have them do a design that I wanted. The design I chose was pretty simple and she kept redoing it until it was perfect. She was amazing. They have many color selections and the artist is so sweet. I accidentally knocked my nail on the privacy screen in front of me and she immediately redid the top gel coat. This is now my go-to spot for cute and fun nails. I don't understand the excellent reviews.... I usually go to Ken nail... But decided to try this place based upon their early opening on Saturday and its when I had time with a babysitter. I called the day before and made an appointment for 9:30 opening. walking in and they're pretty busy. None were very friendly and when I said I had an appointment for a fill they then asked if it was just a fill? Almost like they didn't wanna do it or they were busy with other people... I confirmed yes just a fill (all I had time for)... The next question they seemed to be disappointed with is that I do acrylic regular polish on my nails... I don't like gel.. I change them too often, the colors aren't ever true enough or the nail people make them too thick... However I don't mind a nice gel top coat. Anyway... Their polish selection was lame. Mostly old polishes and not very many choices. I was happy I brought my own just in case anyway... The lady who did my nails did an ok job... She worked fast... Wasn't friendly... Didn't say maybe more than one sentence to me (which was fine I don't like talking a ton).. But she acted like she would rather be organizing her sock drawer. She went fast. She didn't ask many questions or ask if I liked it etc... Just went about her business. She did however like the nail polish color I brought because it is holographic... But that was the extent of warmth The nails is also on a bar so that's something to know too... High chair seating. Anyway... My fill was fast. So I was appreciative of that... The lady brought me to the dryer and then moved on.. I don't even think she said Thankyou. I was happy to have a fill but wasn't impressed with the overall service. They certainly didn't care about me as a customer... But I don't doubt they care about some as they were very friendly to others. I'm sure I wasn't making enough for them to be valuable with just a fill.. So I made sure to leave a nice tip so they were aware of maybe the mistake they made. I left 15 bucks on a 17 dollar fill... I usually don't post negative reviews and only try to reward great service. But this is not the case with JC nails. Unfortunately I didn't receive great service. I get my nails done to relax and have great looking nails and toes right? It's one luxury I allow myself. I live right by JC nails, so I thought I'd give them a try. I wish I had not. It's a typical nail salon, nothing special about it. Actually, when I asked for the message chair to be turned on, they seems to look at me like I was crazy, laughed a bit between themselves, and then put it on, but it was all the way at the top, not even hitting my back. I couldn't reach the control, so I just shook around until it turned off. Why have a message chair if you're not going to allow your customers to use it? That's not why my review is bad. It's bad because I was up sold on my pedicure. Which is common, but they made me believe that I couldn't only choose from the top two (most expensive) packages. When I asked about just a regular pedicure, they responded with more up-selling. Annoying. Just do what I want. Then. It was not relaxing at all. My foot massage was kind of intense making me move all around. And the girl doing my nails was all over the place with the cuticle clippers, trying to go so fast. SLOW DOWN! This is my skin lady! 7 of my 10 fingers have cuts on them. SEVEN! One she cut so bad that it bleed for about 20 minutes. They had a really hard time completing my manicure because of the blood. They of course apologized...but it sucked! It hurt so bad and it looks like crap! Now every time I wash my hands, it stings terribly. They offered me nothing. Tried to have me pay full price. When I told them I didn't want to pay full price, they tried to question me about it. Would you pay full price for painful and ugly cuts all over your fingers? Probably not. Next time I'll put my fingers in a meat grinder for free to achieve this look. Better business sense would have had them give me a service at a discounted rate for next time. Make it up to me. But no. Nothing. 5$ off. Never coming back here. That's for sure. read more

I'm new to the Dublin area so as I was looking for furniture I noticed a couple of doors down a nail salon that was a bar. I thought that was cool so I went as a walk in. I stated I wanted a color change only. I had one young man prep my gel nails in foil, a young lady change my feet color and she started my nails yet another young man finished my gel. As my gel was coming off the young girl and I had small talk and she asked if it was my first time there and I said yes. As she finished taking off the gel she started doing things like a manicure. I felt like it was too much yet I figured I was getting extra since it was my first time. When all was done I was told $36. I said oh no way. Not for a color change. The second guy stated she did a manicure. I said I didn't ask for that. So needless to say they had poor communication I ended up paying $30. I gave all three people that work on me a tip. I was in the area on vacation so decided to get my nails done here. I got a pedi and gel powder manicure. I have never had gel nails before and love them so far. They are a bit pricey compatred to GA but I take it since its CA everything is a bit more. They take credit cards but oddly you cant leave a tip using one so if you have no cash then there is a ATM there. I was a bit displeased that when I asked about using my credit card they don't mention you cant include tips till after the service. read more

Pro: -took me right in at lunch without an appt -speed. Took off my very old nails that were coming off. Cleaned the nails. And redid a pink and white set in basically an hour -quality was obviously important to them - the TVs were a nice distraction - like my nails a lot. Very happy Con: I'd say the only one was the price. $39 for a pink and white fill is pretty steep. Plus everyone was leaving quite generous tips so it ran me $50 bucks. That's a lot. If you're looking for acrylic nails, this place is great, and Helen is your girl! She really does a great job! If looking for a good mani/pedi, this place is not so great... My daughter and I were both disappointed with how our nails looked after our appointment. They cut the nails crooked, didn't fully paint the nails, and didn't exfoliate well enough. With that said, they did give a great leg and foot massage. The manicurist skipped the massage though. I guess she was too busy... Their services are pretty inexpensive, and the quality pretty much matches the pricing. The salon seems clean and neat. The bathroom was decent and the pedicure bins were lined with plastic (though they still have exposed jets). The only thing I'm unsure about is the sterilization of the tools. They weren't in a sealed package, but were just sitting in open bins at the stations. We will be back for the acrylics! read more

I found this shop near where I was having lunch and decided at the last minute to get my nails done. On a Sunday afternoon, they were able to take me pretty quickly. Ann did my nails and it was a beautiful job! She's really thorough (I'm incredibly picky), and was able to do exactly what I wanted. We even found something I hadn't wanted - because I didn't know about it until I got there... I ended up with orange chrome nails for Halloween, and I love them! She made a face and spoke in her language , continued with the pedi..she did horrible pedi.. she rushed through it and didnt even do a good job..she had to go back with acetone and brush to remove nail polish..I understand it happens on one or two, but all of them.. she was rude and messy. I for sure will not be going there again..hence this was my first time. I have gotten my nails done here before and I really liked how they turned out. Unfortunately the last time I went I didn't have the same experience. The lady doing my nails rushed through them so quickly and cut my fingers open many times with the drill. I flinched multiple times and she just looked at me and kept going. My nails have some sort of weird discoloration underneath as I went with French tips and it's very visible. When I showed my friend my new nails she pointed it out to me. They are also very uneven. I didn't mind too much but I've had them on for less than a week and they are chipping and lifting. I don't do any heavy work so I'm not sure why. My last ones were fine for over three weeks before I got them redone. I'm not sure the name of the lady who did my nails but I wouldn't recommend. There's definitely people there who do a good job and genuinely care about the work they are doing. If you go I would recommended reading the reviews and finding the best nail tech. It's hard to capture exactly what they look like with pictures. I was also charged $50 for a fill which seems abnormally high as my friend who got a brand new set paid the same. read more

JC Nails have the kindest, sweetest staff. I used to take my mother there every three weeks. She had advanced dementia and difficulty moving her hands. Everyone who worked there was so empathetic and patient with her. They didn't mind that I took up an extra seat so I could be there to help and comfort my mom. Getting a manicure was about the only outside activity my mom could enjoy and it was a wonderful way for us to spend time doing something that felt like normal life. Every time we visited, her nails looked fabulous and that made her feel so happy. It's a real gem of a salon with the most wonderful people working there. read more
