I have been coming here for years since it opened. Today I had a really bad time experience. The nail technician kept pressing into the in-steps of my feet, and kept being very very upset in a very impolitely way. Gel nails were finished less than 40mins including the massage, lotion, cleaning, etc. definitely a very rushed service. Even service is as very rushed, I still have 15% tips. She was acting very unappreciative. I may have to find a new nail place after coming for 10 years. Given today technician is new: I hope her service improves in quality. Parking is easy to find. Nail place is clean, casual ambiance. Sometimes it can be smelly chemically, not today. read more

Today I decided that I wanted to go and get a full set gel manicure. I did my research on yelp and saw that this place got really good reviews. I ended up going as soon as it opened. When I got there, the ladies who work there greeted me with big smiles and I felt very welcomed. Rita was the lady that did my nails and she took her time and was very As far as the nails, they were perfect; the shape of them was perfect and the length was exactly what I wanted. Helen is great for waxing my eyebrows but in terms of manicure and pedicures, the ladies working there are very judgmental if you don't tip them well. I don't really appreciate that and will likely reconsider coming here. Service feels rushed. They don't spend a ton of time massaging your legs as part of the pedicure. Let them know if you feel like it's not enough. read more

I went to get my nails done 2 weeks ago. I went the Thursday before Mother's Day to get a mani/pedi with my daughter(8). For some reason, the address listed here on Yelp took me to an empty dirt lot down the street - this nail spa is located on the second floor of Ulferts center. I had called several times before arriving to make sure they could accommodate us. When I had to call and change my time it was no problem, they were kind enough to accept us :30 before closing time. They did our pedicures and manicures separately which I appreciate but they didn't offer any pedicure packages and it looked like they had a lot to offer. I didn't ask because I assumed they didn't want to add time to my appointment but it would have been nice if they offered. Guess that's on me for not asking! I picked a pretty pink color named Amethyst for my nails (it doesn't seem very purple if you ask me but I loved it anyway). I'm gonna spare you a pic of my toes but I always do regular polish since I have no issues with it lasting and I think my toes still look perfectly polished. I would say overall the shop is mostly accommodating and the nail techs here are very sweet. The nail tech who took care of my daughter was gentle and friendly and I appreciate that when it comes to my kiddos! read more

I called in to ask for a service price for my mother and when I took my mother in, half way through her service the lady changes the price (increases it). hence it was only 5 dollars but it's the principal. we paid the extra 5 dollars but the lady and one of her colleagues started yelling and arguing. Horrible customer service. not friendly at all. I would NEVER go back there. read more

There are so many nail salons in Dublin but we continue to frequent this spot because Umma still gets her facials at Element Spa and this place is conveniently next door. We are notorious for dropping in (never making appts) and if we see that Helen and Julie are free, we snatch them! Not a lot of color selection; not a lot of unique designs; but we are simple folk. So long as you have red and pink color choices, we good to go. Julie and Helen take their time in providing such a relaxing service. Their arm and leg massages are great! read more

Waste of time. Even after you make an appointment they make you wait 40 mins and than prioritize walk ins only because they say they are in a hurry. Extremely poor way of running a business just because a scheduled appointment did not say they are in a hurry. Never will I go to this salon ever. Do not recommend it. read more

It's 2019 and I noticed the entire staff here has changed. They are nice but noticed they are not nearly as good as the original staff. They started to re-use some of their stuff - even after I told the woman that she took the toll from the "trash" (clearly marked) bag and it even had a red nail color which I didn't have. She debated back and finally used a new one. Wtf?! What happened to this place? They used to have an amazing staff. Where did they call go? And now you have to tip in cash. I also came in on a Friday which is usually busy, but I'm the only one in here. Makes sense now. But that just means I need to find a new place. Where are other people going now? read more

I'm pretty simple when it comes to choosing a nail salon. I don't really look for too much, just inexpensive and decent customer service. Came here for a mani and pedi for a girls day, and the experience was ok. They were kind enough to let us pop a mini champagne bottle for a little mimosa, so that was enjoyable. Their pedicures are nice and relaxing. Their mania are rushed and just ok. The ladies aren't super friendly but they're not rude either. I just expected more from them because they're in a field where customer service is a priority but that's just me. Wouldn't come back -____- read more

A pretty cheap place to go to for acrylic nails. $25-30 for a new set. I came in at 6pm and was immediately seen. I asked for regular polish but they kept pushing me to get gel. Like repeatedly kept urging me to. They even brought the gel nail selection and dropped it in front of me. I got the worst acrylic nails ever in regular nail polish. The shape is so off from what I requested and to make it worst, once I took my nails off, I saw that they had over grinded my nails. They were so damaged and brittle. Never coming back read more

My worst ever nail experience. I came in with a photo asking for something pretty simple but for some reason the lady couldn't or didn't want to do it. I'll post photos. What sucks is that they were rude... Ended up cutting my finger, putting glue on top of the cut to stop the bleeding, and they charged me $55 for nails that my friends said looked like shitty amateur nails I could have done at home with my left hand. It was overall a bad experience, and they spent two hours on my nails while my friends nails (just shellac polish) was done within an hour and she just waited around for mine to finish. I will never go back. read more

This has been my go-to nail salon for the past year. I've gotten my nails done by multiple manicurists here and they've all been great and my gel manicure always lasts over a month. After this recent visit, I had to submit a review because it was honestly the best manicure I've ever gotten. Mai was incredibly meticulous, thorough, and patient in making sure my nails looked perfect for my upcoming interview. I appreciated how polite she was when I asked her to make a couple adjustments. Right after the first coat of gel, I noticed some debris got caught underneath the layer of polish and caused an ugly bump. I brought it to Mai's attention and she redid the nail for me to make sure it was perfect. If you're looking for a salon where you talk to the manicurist the entire time and share deep personal conversations, this might not be the place for you, but if you're looking for a high quality manicure with kind and skilled people, I highly recommend this place! read more

I came here because I am still in the search of a local place that can do my pedicures without shelling out the big bucks, which I know is hard in this area, but I'm deterimined to find a spot! I was impressed by the location, as its only a 5 minute drive from my work via streets and I can pick up yummy baked goods down at the bakery downstairs. I made a same day appointment at 4:30, funny thing is when I made an appointment they didn't even ask me my name, but whatever. When I got there at 4:30, on a Friday afternoon mind you, things were already starting to get hectic and they were turning people away. After having me wait 10 min or so (which I didn't mind) I finally was given a spot in one of the pedicure chairs. Nice big chairs that make you feel like a queen, however I wasn't feeling the lame functions that the massage chair had to offer, I'm sure if I had kept it up it would have made me seasick! The perks about this spot: the price is the same as I would pay in Tracy, the workers don't talk to you much unless you want to talk to them (which I like), location, the nice view of the rolling hills, and their leg treatments where probably the best I've had so far in all my pedicure experiances. What I didn't like: the technician was a tad rough on my toes, I think she almost drew blood once! Maybe next time I'll try somebody else. We're going on day 4 of my pedi and so far it still looks good. Was this the best salon I've been to? Nope. But would I come back here? Most definitely. read more

Very clean place to get my stuff done , I always get my pedicure and gel manicure here and eyebrow at well , the nail techs are super friendly and they recently remodeled make the space look brighter and nicer than before and they order so many new color products. I am totally recommend this place is a must try there prices are reasonable in the area for everything they offer. They locate on the 2nd floor next to the massage place and element spa inside Ulferts center read more

They were nice, but kind of forced what they wanted on you. My friend wanted shorter nails for the powder dip, which she has done before but they said it needed to be longer to look nice I got the gel done and under the old ownership they lasted 2 weeks. This didn't even last a week, started chipping 3 days later and completely peeled off today. Wouldn't recommend them. read more

All they did was paint her nails, when I asked why the lady started yelling in Vietnamese to the other lady and it sounded like they were complaining about me. Very clean place. They add cucumber and mint to the pedi sink? that was new they are nice, they did a good job and the place has good ventilation. For 30 bucks (+6 for a design on my toes-polka dot-) it was worth it. they have a huge selection of polishes which include channel and YSL! read more

I think I am pretty regular at this place. Pretty descent price ($30 for both mani/pedi) and very nice service. I don't have any memory getting a bad service from them. I try to get my service done by Lily, because she's the best and the designs she do is pretty cute. Polishes are pretty new and clean, Most of name brands (OPI, Channel,,, etc) and very clean. Just avoid the weekday after 4pm - very busy and service quality can be differ from the usual hours. Always liked to go this place, and I'll continue to go to this place. read more

Not sure what they did, but my mom and I went in for pedicures, about a month ago, and the next day our feet were really dry. They did a mask and paraffin too. Maybe it was the soak, it was blue, and they didn't give options for different scents....and now it's a month later and regardless of lotions and foot masks, our feet are still dryer than usual. Plus the place was empty on a Friday. read more

Absolutely worst manicure and pedicure on the planet. Cuticles barely touched, nails filed and left uneven, massage non existent and gardening dirt left under nails. I didn't even want polish. Who knows how that would have turned out. As for hygiene and cleanliness, it was nonexistent. The back room where waxing is done was disgustingly dirty. Same files used on other customers, (most places use small individually wrapped new files), did not steam the utensils I hope I don't get a foot disease. I was there last Friday at 6:00pm. First and last time I will ever step foot in that place. Save yourself the walk up the stairs. read more

EH. This place is pretty clean and the main owner/ manager woman was nice but that's about it. Why I didn't really enjoy my visit here: 1. I thought my manicure was really quick (felt like 15 min or less) 2. The lady cut my cuticle so it started bleeding 3. The other nail techs talked about my friends in Vietnamese (which they understood since they speak/understand). Not cool at all. So since they figured out some of my friends understand all the nail techs asked each of us what ethnicity we were (what does that have to do with getting your nails done?). I personally would never come back. read more

I've been coming here for the past 3 years at least but now I refuse to return and will be looking for a new place. The quality has gone down dramatically- my shellac manicure's peel or seperate from the nail within days of getting my manicure. That just shouldnt happen. Also I caught how unsanitary they are. They bring out the manicure utensils in a sterile pack so you think they have gone through a sterilized rinse or wash- when in fact they just grab the tools out of a basket in the back and shove them in the steril bag, seal it and use it. I'm particuarly shocked by this. Customer Service has gotten horrible. Not at all the girls like Annie who do your nails but the head lady is not a nice person. When one of my manicures started to peel (like I mentioned above) a day before a wedding I went in to ask them to re-do them. I showed her the peeling and she said "Ok, no problem" and one of the girls started to re-do it for me. Then she comes around when I'm half way done and tells me she is still going to charge me, that I was lying about the peeling- even though I showed her! And my current manicure was only 3 days old. Don't you think that charging me should be disclosed upfront when you committed to re-doing it?? Some of the girls in the salon tried to stand up for me without any success and were very apologetic.That was the final straw for me and I won't be returning. Please just me careful going here- especially now that I know they dont sanitize the tools properly. I know of at least one person who has gotten a very serious side effect from another salon that did the same thing. So take caution and dont let your manicure turn into a nightmare health issue. read more

Okay my neighbor got her nails done here and said they did a fabulous job so of course I had to try them out! It is very hard to find a good nail salon in Dublin. (See my review on Tony's and Perfect Nails) The salon is brand new so it was clean. They do however reuse the pumice scrubs which is not very hygienic. A plus is that they carry Chanel nail polish but it seemed to go on very thin - is it really Chanel polish in that bottle? Did they thin it out? What are you trying to pull? The massaging and the sugar scrub was very nice but I had to ask her to pumice my feet more (why must I always ask? I am paying you to give me baby soft feet). The paint job was horrible. There was nail polish all over my toes. Also, she did a bad job at clipping and shaping my toenails. Some were longer than others while some were square and some were rounded. I will definitely have to get another pedicure as soon as I get back to Newport. Overall I am disappointed. The second story location is not very good either. It was a bit difficult walking down the stairs with my feet all slippery from that lotion. 2 stars = 1 for being clean, 1 for carrying Chanel nail polish (I think) read more

It's always extremely clean and they have good music or music videos playing throughout the nail bar. The service itself was so relaxing. If you opt for a pedicure, I highly recommend getting the the honey pearl scent ( I believe that's what it was called). Oh my goodness, it smelled so good. I was tempted to close my eyes at one point, but I just know I would've fell asleep.

She's personable and skilled, and always checks on my comfort level multiple times during a session. Her setup is extremely clean and hygienic which I also appreciate. Paying is a breeze - if you don't have cash she will take Venmo (my preference) and possibly other forms of e-payment. I've seen Linda's mani and pedi work on others, and it's lovely. I tend to keep it simple with one color, but she can do complex nail techniques and nail art if that's your preference. She uses high quality products and I can see and feel the difference. She stays quite busy (so book well ahead of time!) and will still do her best to fit in last minute appointment requests. She's one of the best kept secrets in this area!

Small note that there is a mani/pedi combo package towards the bottom of the list - I tried multiple times to book both a mani and pedi at the same time (and failing) before realizing! Parking downtown depending on the time of day can be a little challenging, but it is towards the end of downtown which makes it a little easier. Charming Nail Shop is located on the second floor, and there are two seats to wait at inside if she's finishing up with previous clients! You can pick a color while you wait - her variety is pretty extensive, and she recommended me to try a polish with "diamond finish" that truly held up flawlessly for almost three weeks, and is still holding up strong as I grew out my nails for the next three months lol. Mani and pedi were both really relaxing experiences - the soak and massage was lovely, and she made great conversation (out of this introvert!) to pass the time. My appointment did take longer than planned but I enjoyed the little spa moment for me. Thanks again for the great experience, would highly recommend for others to try out for a special relaxing moment!
