This was my first time at Dublin Nails. I just recently moved to Dublin and this place has great review, and that is why I decided to give it a try one week ago for a friend's wedding. I did a French mani and pedi. The woman service me is really not professional. She was always talking with her colleague without pay much attention on my feet. Then, she cut too deep and made my big toe bleeding till 4th day I done the pedi. If not because I needed to catch a flight to the wedding, I would file a complaint to her manager, I was wanna be a pretty guest in that wedding, but I was embarrassed cause there's bleed on my toe!! I came in at 6:20pm and before they even asked what service I wanted, I was told by the manager "we are closed". The sign says 7pm and the doors were opened. I could have just had a question or needed a polish change. If you want to close at 6:20pm change your hours of operation! Goos customer service is taking your last customer up until your hours of operation end. I must say I am very disappointed . I've been going to nail salons for over 10 years . This was one I had to write about. I came in for a full set . I was told the cost was 36 dollars . And then come to the length of my acrylics ... which were medium sized I've definitely gotten them longer... and wasn't overcharged . He said now they were 44. ? Okay so then time to put my gel on ... I picked 3 different color nail polish ... one solid one white for ring finger and a glitter to go over the solid . He said "oh we have to charge more for that too" In my head I was thinking a whole bunch of things .. but i said fine whatever . So come my finished acrylics and I pay tip and go home . And that night I noticed there was two bubbles under my gel because either the product was old or the man didn't do it right . Just got back from getting a gel mani/pedi from this place. This is my first time here and I'm completely underwhelmed by the experience. My pedicurist was nice and did a good job but my manicurist was terrible. The polish that she applied was very uneven and started lifting before I left the nail shop. Then, she noticed that the side of my thumb's polish looked weird so she took a nail file and started trying to file it down. Well, I can report, the polish is still funky and now I have a gash on the side of my nail bed that I have to cover with a bandaid cause it stings so much. I don't usually post reviews at all but this experience was not pleasant at all. Right after she finished brutalizing my nails, she shoved some some foam sandals on my feet and indicated that I should leave. At the end of the day, they still charged me fill price. I paid $70 for wonky polish and a cut on my hand. Two stars only because the pedicurist was professional and did a good, thorough job. read more

okay so the thing about dublin nails is they always change up the prices for things. there's also no AC but it's okay i still will most likely come back. my friend and i had an appointment we waited about 5 minutes to get seated. it was midday. i paid $28 for a set of acrylics there's no charge for shape of tip because some salons do have that. the workers talk in their foreign language but it's ok i don't mind. they also don't charge for a different color on accent nails. they charge you $10 for acrylic take off by slipping a tip under from one side to the other which sometimes hurts and can make your nail crack and rips out nail beds. and if you pay for a gel manicure i believe it comes with a massage that normal polish does not have. my nail technician was very nice and gentle. my nails do become sore after acrylic nail applying for a day or two but that happens for me anywhere. i really do love my nails. my friend got an acrylic nail removal and gel mani. if you mind a little pain/ripped nail beds i suggest finding a place where you can get them soaked off for removal or you can do it yourself with some acetone. just soak the nails and scrape the remaining off it's pretty easy. they don't have holo or chrome colors and they don't know what it is either. the gel wheel colors are for both regular polish and gel polish which i did not know. that's about it so i would recommend coming you get what you pay for. read more

Asked if they had an opening for a fill and pedi and they took me right away. The man who started to do my fill was super sweet but i soon found out he had no idea what he was doing. I usually get a french tip with powder, he used a completely different color for my fill which made it look like i still needed a fill! It was my fault for not paying closer attention. I got my pedicure done here by a male manicurist. It was the worst service I've ever had. He did not have the skills to apply the polish neatly and properly and he did not focus on his job as every time the door was open, he would turn around and looked and stopped what he was doing. Best place to get acrylics!! I've only ever gotten my nails done here so I can't say much for their other services but this is the only place I'll go to get my acrylic nails done now. I will say now that if your looking for a great relaxed spa like experience that's super comfortable and calming this is not the place to get your acrylics done. However if you're looking for really well priced acrylic nails that are done quickly and efficiently by people who know what they're doing then this is the place for you. An acrylic set is only 28$ and they've always lasted me 2-3 weeks before I go to get a fill. To people who complain about their nails breaking: it's not the nail technicians fault!! I have been going to Dublin nails consistently for about a year now. Almost every time I come, I schedule my appointment with Minh, one of the male employees. He is AWESOME. My mother and sister began coming here as well and they fell in love. I have never been to a nail salon that gives such good quality for a lower price than anywhere else i've gone. It looks like a little hole in the wall nail salon, but I promise you will walk out with dazzling nails and you should have no complaints. I normally get acrylics with gel or just gel paint and I usually don't have to come back for 3 weeks because they stay for so long. I would HIGHLY recommend!! read more

I think this place has fake reviews! Horrid experience!! Do not come here! I wish I could do no stars! They cut me and then they changed the person mid way (I didn't say anything) and still no improvement They can't put nail polish on neatly and can't cut nails! I hate doing this... My 5 stars for Anne still remain--she is awesome. I've given Dublin Nails too many chances before finally updating this review. The past 4 times I've gone in, I haven't been able to get Anne. I've realized that no matter how slow they are, the technicians rush and really try to get you out of the door. It is NOT a relaxing experience at all. They make me feel anxious. Also, their prices just went up, and it's NOT worth their quality of work. The guy who did my shellac manicure messed up, had to redo them, and just gave me an "oh sorry." That was it. Chemical smells are REALLY strong upon walking in, even in the bathroom. You do get used to it but I don't know if that's what I want. At a distance, my freshly pedicured toes do look good. However, the lady cut so much of my cuticles that the sides of my toes were raw and red afterwards. It's as if someone pulled a bunch of hangnails out. The great thing about this place is that they do have a lot of spa chairs and manicure stations and enough employees to work in that space. It's like a nail farm. I phoned ahead before I came, walked in and told them I needed a pedicure, went to use the bathroom, and a lady that came in after me got serviced first. So I would recommend you not needing to pee if you're in a hurry. What I wasn't so sure of was how clean the instruments were because they didn't come in a sealed package (I love places that do this!) but if you do not see an update from me in about a week or so, then I'm alive and well. read more

MOST AMAZING NAIL EXPERIENCE EVER. I tried this place for the first time today and I never want to go anywhere else now! ASK FOR MIN, best nail tech I've ever encountered. I went in for an acrylic full set with gel polish and a pedicure. As soon as I sat down he felt that my hands were cold and brought out a little heater to warm them while he worked. He checked multiple times to make sure I was happy with the length and thickness as he shaped the acrylics. He listened carefully to my feedback and never got tired of me asking for adjustments. He's EXTREMELY precise and makes sure everything is exactly right as he goes. The whole time he had a friendly and quirky demeanor and made me feel so comfortable! He even kept checking to make sure my pedicure (which someone else was doing) was going smoothly after he finished my hands. It seriously made my day with how invested he was. My new go to! I will NOT be going back here. I had a mani/pedi and the actual mani/pedi part was done well. However, the nail polish that I apparently picked was really cheap. My fingers were still not done (they were mushy and not even close to being dried) after 20 minutes and 4 of them were smudged when i tried to get my credit card. I told the manager about what had happened and he went off in his language to his workers. It was apparent that they were talking crap as I received some mean looking stares from the other workers. I told him that I thought it was the nail polish color that was cheap and not drying like it should. He then proceeded to tell me that it was my fault and that nails don't dry in 20 minutes. I was getting really pissed off because my friend, who used OPI nail color had her nails dried in about 10 minutes (we had ours done at the same time). At this point I didn't want to spend another 20 minutes in the shop so I asked him to just take the color off because I needed to go. He took it off and didn't even put lotion back on my hands so the acetone dried out all of my fingers and made them looked cracked. He charged me FULLPRICE, which in my opinion should not have happened as it was clearly their fault for putting shitty nail polish in the selection. I did tip well because I wanted the girls to get their money. I've been coming here for almost 2 years now, I love their prices, love that they are clean, and since I've come, I've only gone to Nancy or Ben for my manicures/pedicures. I went today (knowing that Nancy and Ben have left this salon) with hopes that the others were as good if not better than them. I have to say, i was not happy with their work, and left extremely disappointed. 1. the nail polish on my finger nails are not complete, the corners are still blank 2. the clear nail polish (top coat) is only on half of each nail (so only half the nail has a shine) 3. the pedicure is not done properly at all I want to know where Nancy or Ben went, because they do a really good job. My daughter and I went in for the first time tonight. We both chose to go for acrylics, I was assigned to Tan and my daughter to Tina. I grew up in San Jose and had more than enough choices of nail salons, all more than competent. When it comes to acrylics, we have not been able to find a salon in this area that we like. Because of this I've just switched to shellac. Based on other good reviews here, we decided to try Dublin Nails. What a great experience. Tan is truly and artist when it comes to shaping and overall dimension. I like simple and realistic, that's what he gave me. My 21 year old daughter was very pleased with Tina as well. I made an appointment for 5:15pm and arrive promptly, but still had to wait. It didn't seem like they really go by the appointments, more like everyone is walk in and first come first serve. I don't really mind, because that is the same as the other nail salons that I've been to. So, if you make an appointment, don't expect to be in your seat and ready to go at that time. This is my first time at Dublin Nails. The place is like most asian nail salons where they have a row of tables and a rows of chairs (for soaking feet). The thing I really enjoy at this place is that the ladies that do your nails, don't talk about you in front of you. They don't really talk much unless you want to talk. When the lady was cleaning under my toenails, she often look up to make sure I was not in pain. I got a french meni and pedi and then eyebrows threaded. It took about 1.5 hours. The bill came out to a total of $44 before tips. I didn't see the price for eyebrows threading in the store, but I've read on Yelp that someone got it for $10. I think the french medi and pedi was $31, so that makes the eyebrow threading $13. Not bad at all. I love how they would do one finger first and then ask if the thickness of the white stripe is okay. Other nail place usually just finish it without asking the customer. I would definitely go back! read more

I just went to get my nails filled, and a woman started and then passed me on to a man named Mike I guess (I asked ok my way out because of how horrible he was). My appointment was at 6:15, so It should have been plenty of time for what I was having done. So he rushed through, painted my nails leaving spaces on the sides with no polish, then I asked him to add the glitter that I had picked out with the color, and he told me I was out of time because it was 7:00, when they close. And I said "really" so he said he would put it on 1 nail which isn't what I wanted... And then I asked my boyfriend if he had any cash for a tip, and I was gna give him a $3.00 tip since what I was doing was only $18.. And he flat out said "give me $5 tip" but of course I didn't because I was so disappointed. Then he added the top coat half-assed, grabbed his stuff, got up and walked out and left. Not overly happy :( I was really looking forward to getting a mani-pedi and was a bit disappointed at the end, given all the great reviews here. They accommodated me within 15 mins of my call for an appt so that was a great start. There was an older lady doing my mani while a younger lady was working on my pedi. The lady doing my mani seemed to be in a bit of a rush, & although she gave me an excellent massage, failed to deliver on my nails :( I got a french mani & she didn't even use pink on my nails, only used a clear topcoat. When I asked her if she could do pink, she said she thought my nails were pink enough and though reluctant, did it. I also noticed at the end that she hadn't removed my previous nail polish properly, resulting in a wee bump in the middle of one of my finished finger nails :( Moreover, she kept flipping my fingers a bit too careless-ly on the towel, and i now have a couple of fibers stuck in my white tips on a few fingers. My pedicure - Again, the massage was outstanding. However, she didn't really remove the rough/dead skin on my heels at all, leaving me with rough heels (hasn't really happened at many pedis before). She really could have scrubbed a bit more i thought! When i pointed it out, she simply applied a bit of oil on them and left it at that. Once my toes were painted, she didn't use a toe-separator/cotton until I asked for it (I could feel my toes overlapping & sticking on the polish!!). Even at that point, she simply stuck a wee bit of cotton between only a couple of toes rather than all of them. So, I came here today with my family and got a mani/pedi. I felt like they were trying to rush everything since more and more people kept on walking in. She didn't spend as much time on my pedicure as I would of thought she would have. After I was done she sent me to a chair and I just sat there for at least a good 20 minutes before someone finally came and did my nails. While they were finishing my nails, two of my sisters nails were already messed up and she asked a lady to fix them and all the lady did was stick her fingers inside the nail polish remover bottle and smudged the spot with her hands. She could of at least taken it off and redone the whole entire nail but she didn't. read more
