After months of debating if I should get my eyebrows micro bladed I'm SO happy that I finally decided on making that appointment with Irene. I came to see Irene back in September for ombré brows. Prior to this I have been going back and forth on whether or not to get them done, mainly scared because of "what if" thoughts. What if I don't like them, what if I'm that one person she messes up on lol. But then I talked myself into getting it done, saying if it don't do it now, I won't ever do it. Can I just say I'm SO GLAD I DID IT. Appointment: the booking process is super easy. I booked online, link on Irene's IG. Once you booked, you'll get a few of emails. 1) You'll receive a email confirmation if your appointment 2) A week or so before your appointment you'll get a text reminder, advising you to check your email to complete a consent form and lastly 3) an email with instructions on how to prep for you appt. What to expect: When you arrive, you'll be greeted by Irene. She will explain the whole process from start to finish so you know what to expect. Irene made me feel so comfortable during the whole process. First she mapped out my brows. You'll have the option to come bare brows and allow her to map them as she sees best fit for your face, or you can come with pre- drawn brows and she can follow the shape of your choice. I opted to come bare brows and let the professional do her job. After she mapped my brows, I had the opportunity to see what they look like and request for adjustments. Once I agreed on the shape, thickness, etc she will then start PMU process. She first outlined my brows, there is no numbing cream during this process but it was not painful at all. Once the outline is complete she numbed my brows for the shading process. Once she is done, I had another opportunity to inspect my brows and request adjustments. Before I left, Irene verbally explained the aftercare and gave me an aftercare kit that includes written aftercare instructions, cotton swabs and lotion for my brows. Additionally I also received an email with the aftercare instructions. Irene is meticulous, warm and so welcoming. I felt comfortable the entire time. She made sure I was ok during the entire process. I can tell she is truly passionate about her work and she is not there "for the money". You'll even see the one negative review she received because she recommended for a client to not get the service because she truly felt it wouldn't benefit the client. I am happy to say the least that I went to Irene for my brows. If you're contemplating on whether or not you should get your brows done by Irene, contemplate no more. You won't be disappointed! This is strictly for how business/customer service was handled (not for the actual service). I made an appointment 2 months prior to get ombre brows with Irene. An uploaded picture of yourself without makeup was required to complete the appointment reservation. I assumed that the picture was a requirement to review whether you are a good candidate to get this service completed prior to the appointment. Since my appointment was on a weekday, I did take the day off to get this service done. I arrived at Beauty Method and Irene sat down to tell me she JUST reviewed my picture and looked at my brows, then advised me not to get the service done because my brows are already full and it would make my brows too dark if I got the service completed. I was obviously furious, but was really not going to cause a scene because it wasn't worth it. Also, keep in mind there was no apology whatsoever while she talked to me. Along with the uploaded picture, a $100 deposit was also required when I completed the appointment reservation. After Irene told me she didn't recommend me getting the service done, I did ask about refunding my $100 deposit. She told me she would do it that night and, if I didn't see the refund go through she might have forgotten, so contact her to get the refund completed. Of course, I did not see the refund go through the night of. I had to send two emails and finally got a response for the refund 2 days later. Again, no apology for the delayed response. I am really hoping this business learns from this experience, improves their operation and this does not happen to any other clients in the future. read more

Long overdue review, but I have to share my experience with Irene. After reading everything I could from her website to her Instagram, I reached out and emailed her asking if she thought she would be able to do powder ombré brows cover up over my previously microbladed brows (2017 from another artist whom I never went back to for a touch up). I sent a pic and luckily they had faded a lot over time. Made an appt with Irene and was so excited! Her studio is tucked in a little plaza, but the inside of her space is so clean and spacious. From the beginning, Irene explained everything thoroughly and again talked me through what she was doing and why. Her mapping took about an hour or less, I don't remember but she's a perfectionist so she really took her time, which I appreciated. We talked everything of my make up use (if yes and how often, color of my hair, etc.) Irene seriously takes everything into consideration and that speaks volume. The process overall took a little less than 3 hours for me. When she was finally finished and handed me the mirror, I was shook!!! I was so in love with them and still am. I couldn't believe they were my brows. The shape, arch, COLOR were all perfect. PERFECT. I am a little over 6 months since I had them done and I couldn't be more thankful. The only regret I have is not coming to her sooner. If you're looking for a nicely finished, powdery, soft look for your brows, you NEED to see Irene. She is a professional in the field and she is amazing at what she does. I will always recommend her to anyone looking into powder ombré brows. Appointments are easy to book through their link but you may have a wait depending on what you need done. Book your appointment, or lose your options, you get what you can. Deposit goes towards your fees of service. Plenty of ample parking. The business is female owned, clean, spacious and way cute. I felt instantly comfortable with Irene. Such a sweet lady. Lip blush about a 3-4 hour session. 25 minutes of an awkward plastic wrap and topic anesthesia to numb your top lip then bottom lip. If you have a low tolerance for pain, I don't suggest this for you. The numbing wore off pretty fast and I had to bare through it. If you had tattoo work done before, you may handle it easily. My lips didn't get swollen too much, just looked like I had some lip fillers done. Swelling went down by the evening. This review is long overdue. I actually found Irene's IG account days after I had my brows done by another brow artist. I always admired her work and so amazed at her brow transformations. I messaged her one day complimenting one of her stories and told her that "this is what I want". From there I consulted with her about my uneven, dirty looking big polka dots brows. Sometimes I get shy to tell lash artists exactly how I want my lashes because I have a difficult eye shape.... most of the time, artists just do the style that they are used to and what they think will look good for you. Irene will give you her input but also incorporate what you want into her work... I've never met a lash artist with such patience!! She's conveniently located in Castro Valley which is great since most lash artists are either in Fremont and below or Richmond and above! We all know how annoying that Bay Area traffic is.... Her pricing is very fair (for now) at around $85-120$ depending on how volumized you want your lashes to be and $45+ for refills.... I'm seeing places nowadays charging $300+ for volume! Ridiculous!! She also does brows and I think her current pricing is $300-350 depending on what you want. This is a really good deal because the average brow tattoo is about $600!!! (If you're not going to the nail shop, which I highly recommend against! Unless you want blue eyebrows) I'll definitely book for this service soon! I'm a regular now!! I've been going to Irene for a year now to get my lashes done. They are amazing! It's hard to find good lash artists who work with your eye shape and are as gentle and detailed as Irene. I tried two other lash artists before going to her and I can confidently say her work is the absolute best. I would not trust anyone else with my lashes. They're light, fluffy, the glue holds and doesn't clump up together. She creates the lash fans right then and there as opposed to getting them pre-made, which I believe makes a huge difference from experience. Another pro is whenever I do decide to take a break from the lashes, which can be months at a time, my real lashes are not ruined at all. The only con is she books up super quickly. I advise making your fill appointments early on. Unfortunately I don't think she is taking new lash clients at the moment but when she does I've already recommended her to my close friends.
