Angela is the BEST!!! I have been considering getting my brows done for YEARS, but could never commit due to fear of my brows looking unnatural. There are a few reasons I felt comfortable moving forward with Broderie Ink: - Angela herself. She's a perfectionist and a pro. She was patient with me and her knowledge of her craft convinced me to trust her with my virgin brows. - Nanoblading: this technique is what she specializes in and yes, there is a difference between nanoblading and microblading so do your research. Nanoblading takes time, but it's well worth it. - Natural brow strokes/style: I wanted very natural-looking hair strokes and a no makeup look - basically, I wanted my brows to look the same but fuller. I don't wear make-up often and having very defined brows all the sudden (although they look nice on others) wouldn't be natural on me. Ok, so after my experience with Broderie, I have a few tips: 1) CONSIDER THE FULL LASHLINE option. I honestly had never thought about getting the bottom lashline done, and I was genuinely not sure about adding it on--it was Angela's suggestion! But I am thrilled with how it came out. It definitely makes me look more awake and does NOT emphasize my dark under eye circles, which I worried about. Honestly, in my admittedly limited experience (got my brows/top lashline done once before elsewhere), lashlines last SO LONG on me that they're totally worth it. Last time my brows didn't even make the 2 year mark, but I could still see the lashline clearly after 5 years! So here's hoping they hang around this time. 2) If something is asymmetrical after your initial job, don't freak out, just let Angela know and it'll get taken care of in the touchup. She spent a good long time on my touchup; she is a perfectionist who honestly just wants to do a good job. 3) It is normal for the eyes and brows to feel a bit swollen while the process is going on, but once she is done, Angela will apply this magical epinephrine and the swelling will basically disappear (for me, anyway!) I don't remember my previous place doing this and it was really nice. I found Broderie Ink on IG and decided to reach out to them. At First i emailed them n Angelas Hubby returned it. I sent my eyebrows picture which had done prior work to it. She messaged me back n said yes she could work in it!!! I was super happy bc the prior work was not thick enough. And her work on IG was really nice. She is super booooked!! She finally got me in n it was really nice until it fully healed/pealed but i noticed it was slightly off very little but overall an awesome job with her! i sent them pics and she rebooked an appointment right away. Everything is sterilized, there's a hand sanitizer machine in the lobby and room where she works her magic artistry. I should also note that she washes her hands several times too! A few years ago, I had my top lash line done by Angela and it came out perfectly natural and faded perfectly leaving no unnatural pigment behind. Initially, she started with a consultation and recommended the best technique based on my skin type (oily) and my personal makeup preference. After having my brows done I noticed they were uneven and there were some spots where I just don't know what Angela was doing. It's been over a year and other artist won't touch my brows because of the bad work Angela did. I've had my eyebrows threaded a few times and have been told they are uneven or asked if the brown spots are scars. I'm now stuck with these brows until they fade enough to fix. Broderie Ink is to the right of the veterinary office and CosmoProf, with the entrance around the corner. The actual station and work area was very clean, while the shopfront was still undergoing renovations. It was very airy and inviting. PROCEDURE: I wasn't sure how this would all work as I didn't receive much pre-appointment advice. You show up with whatever brows you have on the daily and Angela sits down with you and spends a good amount of time measuring your brow bone, drawing guidelines, and discussing your brow goals. She explained my particular brows and noticed minute details that only a skilled brow drawer would grasp. I was given 35 minutes to allow the initial numbing cream to take effect during which I could have napped or used my phone. I elected to go back to my car, retrieve a snack, and eat it in the lobby. The strokes initially was disconcerting to hear, sounding like loud scratches, but after I realized I did not feel anything, I was able to ignore them. Following every few batches of strokes, Angela would update me and occasionally consult with me to redraw the guidelines before continuing and to achieve my desired results. She finished in approximately three hours. STYLE: As mentioned, Angela's style is organic and natural. She will select an ink color(s) that matches your natural brows and needle sizes that match your brow hair thickness. PAIN: I have a very low tolerance for pain and this procedure was less painful than a Brazilian wax or the lasering of the armpits. I took no painkillers beforehand (as you shouldn't) and following the topical, local numbing cream, only felt mild discomfort or a scratching feeling on my brows. My initial anxiety wore off pretty quickly once Angela started because the pain was minimal. After the first round wore off (I knew by my increased sensitivity to the needle), Angela paused and gave me more numbing cream. After that, I did have sensitivity and soreness but again, it was all very tolerable. Following my appointment and after Angela made some fine tune adjustments/strokes, I was feeling heightened soreness and sensitivity, so I took some ibuprofen (sold next door at the liquor store for $1.36/packet!) and was fine. MATERIALS: Angela strictly uses high quality needles and inks. The needles (only new ones for each client) are manufactured in Germany or South Korea. All her inks are from Europe (Switzerland for one) and not produced in China. She is knowledgable about the ingredient composition of the inks and only buys them from reputable, authorized dealers/direct. INITIAL RESULTS: Please do not expect immediate results. As this is a procedure done to your skin, tattooing, it is essentially a wound. I'm assuming if I adhere to the prescribed aftercare, I'll have the best results. Duh. I walked out with really dark and large brows - with the knowledge that they will fade by ~40% and shrink once my skin is healed. Oh, and they will look as perfect as they did when Angela first finished them. PAY: To secure an appointment, you have to pay $100 (which will go towards the cost of services). FOLLOW UP: The procedure will heal in two weeks and I have my complimentary touch up appointment in two months. The place was clean and they are still taking Covid precautions. I chose to keep my mask on and the only time I took it off was when she had to see my face to shape my brows. I got my brows and my lashline done and already did the touch up as well. Both times, I had pleasant experiences. Angela is so knowledgeable about the different brow options as she's been doing this for a while. I went for the nanostrokes and she explained along the way what she was doing and why she used a specific technique. She's also proud of her work, which shows how much she cares about the quality. She made sure I was comfortable and okay with the results every step of the way. Just finished getting my microblading done by Angela. I was lucky enough that someone had canceled their appointment so I got to take their spot (and thank you Vien for calling to ask if I could take it!); I ended up getting the procedure done months before I would have been able to... she is super popular so if you are eyeing her services... don't delay and book NOW! The location is on the corner of the business lot, behind Black Bear Diner and right next to the vet. It has white curtains and a white, "Broderie Ink" decal sticker on window. I need to be specific here since I had a hard time finding it, haha. The "house of miracles" as I like to call it, is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and bright. Angela is super friendly and draws out the outline of your eyebrows until they are absolutely perfect. I appreciate the time she put into this - she really wants to make sure you are completely happy with them, so she does not skimp out or make you feel rushed. You can tell she is a real professional in her mannerisms and how confident she is. She explains the thickness of the needle she is going to use on you to match the thickness of your eyebrow hairs. She also makes she you are properly numbed (25 minutes + multiple applications of numbing cream throughout the procedure) - the procedure only became a little less tolerable with a few hairstrokes - the first time I had this procedure done at a different place, I was only numbed once and I was in pain and tearing up. When she is getting close to finishing up she asks you for your opinion and does not get defensive if you ask her to add a hairstroke somewhere (although I didn't really have much to say... they looked DAMN perfect)! Everyone's skin takes to tattooing differently, so she really makes sure you are aware of how to take care of your tattoo properly afterward. Comparing my first microblading session (not with Angela) to this one, I can see how much more realistic the ones Angela did compared to my first session. She does an amazing job - I have been following her on IG for almost a year now, envious of all the other beautiful brows she was creating so I finally decided I needed her to make mine beautiful too! This review is not an attack on the eyebrow tattoo artist personally, but I do believe that anybody who wishes to visit her business should know about her business practice. I went to see Angela for eyebrow strokes last month. I have an old tattoo that I wanted to freshen up and cover wth microstrokes. Unfortunately, because of the creams/products I had consistently used on my face (brightening creams and what not), my skin was too thin to complete the procedure on. And Angela didn't let me forget it. She must have repeated at least 100 times, "Oh my God, your skin is so so so thin! WOW! This is the thinnest skin I've ever seen!!!" Imagine her saying this at least 100 times. Ok, thanks, I get it.. :) She made me feel very uncomfortable to say the least. Moving on, she proceeds to give me some microstrokes but tells me that she can't complete my brows that day because my skin was too thin. I completely understood her reasoning, and in fact, I was appreciative of the fact that she was honest and wanted to make sure she would do the best job possible. She asked me to come back in a month or so after discontinuing the skin-thinning creams I was using. I said sure. I paid the $475 she charges for microstrokes, and I planned to come back in a month for her to complete the job. However, it turns out that she was going to treat that upcoming second session as a touch-up (even though it wouldn't be; it would just be a completion of what she didn't finish on me). That means that I would actually have to PAY for my touchup (the third visit) which is essentially something that is free in EVERY eyebrow tattoo clinic. Angela told me that she opened materials that she had to throw away because we didn't complete our session. How is that my fault?? Her manager who handles the scheduling should have notified me of the cream discontinuation guidelines prior to the session if it was that big of a deal for customers to know. She then said she put the time in. Yes, she did, but I did not pay for her time. I paid for her service. Which she did not complete. In my opinion, she needs to give a free touchup to a client regardless of how many times it takes her to complete a client's eyebrows. Eyebrows fade without a touchup, and I wasn't about to spend almost $500 for her to do my eyebrows and then make me pay for a touchup which is the right of any eyebrow tattoo customer to have given the massive amount of fading and shrinking that takes place. She told me that it was just $65, and for my face, it's not so much. Well, it's not about the money; it's about the principle of the matter and your business ethic. Anyway, I decided to let it go and go with it. Fine, I'll pay extra for the touchup that is actually supposed to be included in the $475 that I paid for the service of microblading. One week later, all my microstrokes went away. I messaged Angela with a picture and expressed my concern and mentioned to her that next time I wanted to add more strokes that were deeper and perhaps darker. Angela then texts me back and basically tells me she doesn't think it was going to "work". She basically removed me as her client. Just because I expressed my concern about the major fade of the microstrokes and informed her about the unjustified payment she expects for her incomplete services? That was totally a turn off. I will give her some credit only for the fact that she did refund me my full money, which I respect. However, her other business tactics are unfair. It also seemed to me that she wasn't willing to take on the challenge of my eyebrows because they're rather uneven. Again, this isn't an attack on Angela. She is a fairly nice person, but her charges and reasoning behind them is something I find to be unfair and I feel other yelpers should know about. read more

I actually wanted microblading about a year back and noticed she was booked until June but I wasn't in a hurry to find someone else because I knew if I was patient I'd get results that I expected from an artist like her. I was right! My brows are perfect and so natural. I went with microblading because I wanted hairlike strokes but, she does a range of looks like ombre or powder-shading. All very beautiful from what I've seen. We went over shape and established exactly what I wanted which was not super archy and not a pointy tail. She suggested feathery brows and a dark brown but I wanted to go darker and she didn't have an issue with that or talked me out of it. So I appreciate that she respected what I preferred over her suggestion. Had 3D embroidery eye brows and top/lower lashline done Ive been contemplating for years about getting my eyebrows done, but never went through with it. No one gave me the confidence I needed to pull the trigger. Finally came across Angela's Instagram page and I fell in love with her technique and style. To me, its very important to find someone that does the work/style you want vs trying to explain the look that you are going for. Angela is very knowledgeable, talented and specializes in what she does. She did her own eyebrows! That should speak for itself! They look amazing and exactly the way I wanted it. She takes her time during the consultation to understand what you are trying to achieve and measures everything. She also works with you to see what brow shapes compliments your face. She's borderline OCD, which is a great thing because she takes her time and makes sure everything is perfect. Her numbing agent is great because I did not feel a thing! She's very acknowledge with different techniques and colors to achieve the color you are looking for! She tells you the colors she mixes and it's so important to me that shes knows what colors to add to avoid fading to the blue, red or greens that we all worry about. Its been over 3 weeks and I still absolutely love them. When you first get them done, Angela will inform you that they will be darker and thicker than what you want, but they will lighten to look more natural and thin out. They shrink a good amount and thats exactly what happened. I am so happy with my shape. Its defines my face more and opened up my eyes. Love waking up and not having to worry about drawing them and if they're even before rushing out. Definitely a great investment! After being so happy with my eye brows, I came back for my top and bottom lash line. My eyes did not swell up at all and my friends couldn't tell I did anything the same day when I went out. They thought I had slight make up on, but i didnt! Life is good. I wake up not having to worry about my eye brows and just slap on some mascara and lipstick. I would still use eyeliner for days I want more of a dramatic look, but this procedure is def good for everyday. Less effort when you go to work or run arounds doing errands. Angela uses a special numbing cream for your eyes. She numbs it for 25 minutes and believe it or not, ZERO pain for my top lash line!!!!! I was shocked. There was a little bit of pain on the bottom lash line. Thinking it's because it's harder for the numbing cream to get to the bottom, but the process is so fast, that you're done before you know it. Pain wasn't that bad and I would do it again. Her place is very clean and cozy. Angela is super sweet, definitely makes you feel very comfortable and makes it a fun experience. If you're looking for gorgeous, natural brows, Angela is your girl. I've always admired those who have seemingly perfect brows. I despise having to fill mine in with my Anastasia pencil. I prefer to not spend time putting on makeup, so I often go without. And when I do fill in my brows, I'm always worried it might smudge throughout the day. So, I decided to take a chance with Angela at Broderie Ink! Don't let her small # of reviews worry you. Just look at the photos. She has PLENTY of experience. People just don't take the time to write reviews. I am usually guilty of this... but for her 5-star experience, I'll make an exception. It's located in a quaint studio. It's a warm, inviting environment. The bed is comfy to lay on, and the blanket she drapes over you is high-quality. Angela is meticulous. She draws in your eyebrows for you first, so that you can see exactly what it will look like before she starts. She will adjust according to your preferences. She's borderline OCD.. which is a GREAT thing! You don't want someone free-styling something that is going to be semi-permanent. She uses a flexible ruler to take measurements to make sure everything aligns perfectly. I couldn't decide between the powder brows and the microblading. So, she gave me powder brows. She said that if I decide that I prefer microblading, she can do that at our touch-up appointment and I can just pay the difference then. SO accommodating! I came in to get my eyebrows micro bladed from Angie yesterday and I am very happy with the results! I actually came in with very uneven brows (my left brow was over-plucked and the arches of both brows were so uneven) and Angie took the time to help me even out my arches and helped me shape them a lot better to compliment my face. I really liked that she was very diligent in the process of drawing and shaping out my brow shape and made sure they were even. Another thing I liked about getting my brows done from Angie was that the numbing agent was amazing! I was skeptical at first about the pain but I didn't feel anything at all. She also gave me a little kit to take home (included: q-tips, skin protectant ointment and a little sheet to help maintain your eyebrows after the procedure). Her work space is very cute and simple and she makes sure that you are comfortable. I highly recommend her to anybody who is interested in getting their eyebrows micro bladed. Angela is great! I had my brows done in May 2017 with a touch-up in August. She is very detailed in her work and helps make you feel comfortable with the procedure. She explains everything and asks for your input before any work takes place. Angela is very personable which helps ease the nerves and makes the process all very seamless and before you know it - you are done!! There was no pain and Angela does check-in on you to see how you are feeling during the procedure. I do plan on an annual touch-up this year. read more

Angela is awesome! I'm so glad I picked her to give me the brows I've always wanted. I did a lot of research going back and forth on weather or not I wanted go thru with microblading and when I came across Broderie Ink and seen Angela's work I knew I had to do it. Upon arriving, her studio is super cute, clean and inviting. Angela made me feel right at home the minute I walked in. Unfortunately for me I had drank a lot of coffee that morning and had not read the "before care instructions" on my appointment confirmation. I had been wanting to do microblading for the past couple of years but hadn't found a place that I felt I was 100% comfortable trusting my face with. I even contemplated flying down to LA to get them done. After looking on yelp and instagram for the past year I stumbled across Broderie Ink! I looked through her entire portfolio on instagram, yelp and her website and loved her work and how natural the eyebrows looked. I cannot recommend Angela enough! I'm so happy with how my brows turned out, I'm constantly admiring how great they look! Angela was so meticulous and took the time to understand what I wanted and make sure that my eyebrows were symmetrical. She also made sure that I was comfortable and wasn't in pain.The entire procedure took 2 and a half hours but it flew by. So.. after a few weeks of contemplation, finally decided to go thru microblading and after browsing yelp, finally decided on Broderie Ink and now I know for sure I made the right decision. Besides a slight glitch on scheduling, Angela was able to arrange it and do mine, and she's great! She's very good in what she does, she's a perfectionist! From the prepping, giving before and after care instructions, walking you through the process as she's doing it and also accomodating any questions I had. She also doesn't just measure and draw and do the procedure without making sure you like how your brows were and that you are comfortable. She also makes sure you don't feel any pain or discomfort while doing it. I was there for about 2 1/2 hours, for all the prepping, numbing time and microblading but there was no awkward feeling. She put me right at ease. Conversation was easy. So if you ladies are thinking of getting your brows microbladed, I really recommend Broderie Ink! And imagine getting ready 15 min less and waking up with eyebrows on fleek!(borrowed that word fr my daughter) is like one of the bestest feelings ever! I got my eyebrows microbladed by Angela a few months ago. I've been back for the complimentary touch up, and now my eyebrows have completely healed. Initially, I was feeling somewhat nervous coming in to microblade my eyebrows, but Angela was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable. The salon was really clean and minimalist, not at all cluttered like many other salons I've seen. The anesthesia works really well; you barely feel any pain! I really appreciate that she took her time to make the shape perfect, especially since my eyebrows were uneven and so short, I didn't even have a tail. She didn't give me a cookie cutter stencil shape. I could tell she really wanted them to frame my face, like good eyebrows should. They looked pretty dark and big when the procedure was first done, but as they healed, they shrunk and looked super natural. She gave me long-lasting eyebrows, and now I don't even need to fill them in! Great time-saver and money well spent. I've gotten tons of compliments so far. However, she hosted a microblading giveaway which I participated in and won! She owns a little shop that was clean and cute. She took her time measuring my eyebrows to get them perfect and made sure I liked them before proceeding on. She mapped out my eyebrows to my face shape and picked a shade that would match my hair color. She was very precise to get each eyebrow similar throughout the whole procedure.
