Marie is not just a regular microblade artist, she is awesome at her craft! Marie treats your brows like they're her own priority. She'll give you her expert advice but also listens to what you want out of your brows and works with you to make sure you're happy with the results. I originally thought I solely wanted microblading and was against micro shading because I thought it wouldn't look natural. After discussing the look I was going for with Marie (natural but darker and to save me time from having to fill my brows as part of my regular makeup routine) I went with her recommendation of doing the ombré effect with more shading and less blading. I am so extremely happy with the results! My brows look just like they do when I would fill them myself but fuller and more defined but still natural! This alone isn't the reason you should go with Marie though. I found Marie at Microblade Artistry from Yelp and I'm so glad I did. I have these sad thin eyebrows and it takes me so long in the morning to fill them in. I literally don't leave the house without "putting my brows on", which is annoying and time consuming. Marie's studio is so nice and so so clean. She is obsessive about the cleanliness which made me feel great. I was really particular about the shape of my brows and she was actually thankful for that. She mapped my brows for about 2 hours until I was perfectly happy with them and didn't blink an eye about it. Marie really is a great as they get. She was so thorough in her mapping of my eyebrows and walked me through every step of the process - asking me questions, keeping me informed, asking for my input, etc. At no point was I nervous about what they would look like after the procedure was done. I can't say that the microblading itself is super comfortable but everyone is different with their pain-thresholds and for me, it was easy to endure. I knew I needed some work on my brows but I was a little apprehensive. Being new to the Bay area, I didn't really know too many people but I was able to find Marie and I'm so thankful I did! About ten years ago, I fell off a cliff while with some friends and ended up with 40 stitches and multiple fractures to my orbital bones above my right eye. Because of this, I ended up with an off-balance right brow that looked disproportionate to my other brow. Also, I have always loved makeup and beauty and even though this was minor, it bothered me especially with never having full-looking brows. My brows have always been sparse and thin. I've tried brow makeup in the past but it always rubbed off when I hugged people, which was totally embarrassing and the brow liner was the same - it just looked fake. I decided to go to Marie and after a consultation, I felt completely at ease. I didn't want a harsh look - I wanted a very beautiful, natural brow. I didn't want them to look "painted on". She walked me through the different steps and scheduled me for my visit. When I arrived, I was completely in heaven. Her studio was in the middle of this gorgeous spa and it looked like a 5 star hotel in there. The ladies greeted me with coffee and water as I waited for Marie. Once back in her room, Marie spent a long time discussing what I wanted and was hoping to gain from my brow appointment. She listened to me and was the sweetest thing ever. You know how you feel when you meet someone and you feel like you could be friends for life - well, that was Marie. She was so beautiful, inside and out, so professional and I felt more like I was going to a spa appointment than getting work on my brows done. Once she mapped out my brows and made sure I was happy, she started the procedure. I would say it was less than an hour and I felt very at ease. She talked to me the whole time and had me laughing a time or two. Once complete, she showed me the after results and immediately, I knew I had made the right decision with entrusting Marie with my brows. They were absolutely beautiful. She had filled in the chunk of hair I was missing on my right brow and she had filled in all the empty spots. She had made the most beautiful arches, so natural and pretty and she had even cleaned up the uneven appearance I constantly saw when looking in the mirror. I was ecstatic. I left and she called me that night to check up on me. I felt completely fine. No pain whatsoever. I went to work the next day - I'm in sales and I was a little worried about my appearance right after, but you couldn't even tell I had the procedure. They looked beautiful that same day. After a few days, they were completely healed and I can honestly say this was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time.
