Ana is an amazing artist and I feel like a million bucks with my new brows! A little background: I had my eyebrows microbladed roughly 4 years ago. Over the years, my eyebrows faded into a pinkish color. I did more research and discovered microshading is actually the best technique for oily skin like mine. I wish I knew this sooner; my poor brows! Scrolling though Instagram, I found Dotted Ink! I loved Ana's work and immediately reached out to her. Ana is very knowledgeable in her craft and walked me through the process of fixing my sad pink brows. I immediately made an appointment after our conversation. She truly has her clients' best interests in mind. The day before my appointment, I realized that I have been using face products that were on the "do not use before appointment" list. She was understanding and rescheduled immediately with no hesitation. Got to love her for that! Now onto the brow process! Ana is a perfectionist. The first time she mapped out my eyebrows, I initially thought they were good to go. Ana examined her work and pointed out areas she could change that would improve the overall look. She went back to the drawing table and I'm so glad that she did. I absolutely love the final shape! Since I was getting my old brows covered up, I had to go through 5 passes. Ana was light handed and explained everything she was doing (I asked a lot of questions). She applied numbing cream and used butter cream so that my eyebrows wouldn't feel extra irritated when wiping throughout the process. In comparison to microblading, the procedure felt so painless! Ana walked me through the aftercare in detail. She also provide a aftercare kit with instructions as well as reaching out through email. Talk about being thorough! Ana is personable. You can immediately tell how passionate she is about what she does. I would highly recommended her to anyone looking for a brow artist. I have gotten so many compliments for my new brows. Never thought I would have my eyebrows done but my sister recommended that it's time. She linked me to Ana's instagram @dotted.ink and booked my appointment easily through instagram. The day of the appointment, Ana greeted me at the front and escorted me in. She explained to me what she had me sign paperwork and explained to me what I am going to expect. Ana is so easy to talk to and understanding of my needs and foreseeable issues. Everything went so smoothly. She mapped out my brows to make sure it was to my liking and we went through it a couple of times to make sure she is on point. No pain for me during the procedure, it was in fact a very relaxing procedure. She was gentle and precise. She took her time and was very patient with me. After the procedure it was such a shocking change to my appearance even my mom loved it! What can I say.. New brows, new life! I definitely recommend Ana to you, your mom, your sisters, your cousins and your friends.
I loved the natural shape of my brows but wanted to tweak them a bit and even them out more. I started reaching out to brow artists a few months ago but Ana really struck me as being the best--and she is! Not only was she very responsive to my message, she introduced me to ombre powder brows. Unlike microblading, ombre powder gives a more natural feel and heals with a softer look. One thing I loved learning about her is that she is certified 5x and has made ombre powder brows her speciality, so you know she is passionate and knowledgable about her craft! I'd also been wanting a beauty mark on my face, which she did as well. Her studio is very welcoming, and Ana herself is incredibly kind, warm, and informative. She really is THE brow expert in all of the Bay Area. She takes her time to map, walks you through the process every step of the way, and is extremely meticulous--I can't tell you how much I appreciate a perfectionist, especially when it comes to a beauty procedure! She wants to make sure both she and her client are happy with the shape, color, etc. before she even starts. The process itself doesn't really hurt--I went one round with no topical numbing cream and it hurt less than a brow wax. Ana was very informative about after care and provided an after care kit. She also outlined what to expect day by day. For example, 24 hours later your brows will appear darker, bigger, and sharper but that's very normal--they look bigger due to swelling and darker because the pigment is sitting on top of the skin. From what I can tell from her other clients, everyone experiences this and you just have to be patient for about 10-14 days. Ana is truly the GOAT for ombre brows! She's professional, courteous, and extremely personable. I have acne prone skin and I had to reschedule my appointment so many times based on Ana's recommendation. She wanted to make sure that bacteria would not mess up my brows while they healed. She answered all my questions swiftly and put me at ease for my first semi-permanent makeup procedure. She kept everything extremely clean and sanitary. She mapped out my brows until they were the perfect shape. She mapped my brows out in a way that made them perfect, even though my brow bones weren't exactly level (? does that make sense? cause it clearly made sense to Ana, since she fixed them!). While she was aligning the brow, she talked me through certain areas to see if I wanted it higher/lower, thicker/thinner, longer/shorter, softer/stronger look. Let me tell you, Ana is an extreme perfectionist. She is very patient and calming. She made me feel very involved. Numbing: Ana applied a numbing cream and it was great. I don't remember feeling any pain. That cream is wonderful. Tattoo: we landed on a darker brown color. She did beautiful ombré brows. I was immediately excited and loved everything: the shape, the color, and it looks so natural. The tattoo process took over an hour or two. Aftercare: Ana provided me with aftercare cream and instructions to follow daily. I read it each day. I remember she sat down with me and ensured that I understood the aftercare instructions. Ana is THEEEEEE best!! She is my eyebrow angel! Not gonna lie, I was a little nervous about getting my eyebrows done but Ana did everything in her power to put me at ease. I've now had my eyebrows for about 6 weeks (will touch up mid-April, after my birthday; so excited ) and I love them so much. It now takes me half the time to get ready and it's given me some confidence. I actually have time to fix my hair, put some lashes on if I want to, or even sleep an extra 30-45 minutes. I'm always hesitant when letting someone else touch my brows. I've considered getting permanent makeup done on my brows in the past but I was too afraid of the outcome especially after hearing many bad and traumatizing experiences. Ana was very informative even before I officially I booked with her and transparent about the tattoo and healing processes. After asking many questions, I decided to give the ombré powder brows a try. Ana did not disappoint! She was very patient and helpful during and even after my appointment. It was my first time ever doing a lip blush. I've seen so many and was afraid of what it may look like. Ana is absolutely amazing. I love my eyebrows One month out! I looked like an Angry Bird the first 2 weeks lol during the healing process. Everyone pre-warned me that they would be super dark and swollen at first and once they scab off after a couple weeks, they will look more natural and the color will fade about 40% lighter. Thank God! Ana did such a great job. She made sure I checked in the mirror multiple times to guarantee the shape that I was happy with. Her studio is very clean and in a beautiful building by the Galleria mall. She is very friendly and just an overall sweetheart with lots of talent! It didn't hurt since she used numbing cream, but once I left I had a raging headache so I rushed across the street to CVS and bought some Tylenol and I was fine. She also gives you cool vizors to tape to your forehead when you shower to not get your eyebrows wet the first few days, and tiny containers of tattoo butter to keep them moist, and baby soap to wash them. Her rates are very reasonable considering how expensive she actually Should be (yes she's THAT good). She also has thousands of followers on IG that can vouch for her work, and her training (she teaches classes). So she's basically the best of the best! read more

Ana is soooo sweet! I had a wonderful time with Ana. I had my eyebrows refilled. the last time I had it done was about four years ago. Ana explained the process very thoroughly and didn't rush me in making decisions about my color, mapping, shape. She checked to make sure I was comfortable and if I needed a break often. Since I have a high pain tolerance, I didn't feel a lot of pain in the procedure. The initial outline was probably the most painful but she used numbing cream after that and I didn't feel Anything afterwards. I had a good nap during the procedure. I have always wanted to get my eyebrows done... I am not good at applying make up much less drawing a straight line. So with that being said eyebrows were never gonna look with me penciling my own. I didn't have enough eyebrow hair either... go figure... but who needs all that when there's Ana!!!! Omg I am so happy I went to see her. I found her through my sister in law. Ana did an amazing job so I had to put all my doubts aside and go for it. Making an appointment was a breeze. She's over an hour and some change away but so worth every mile... First off let me just say Ana is AMAZING at what she does! I came in with previous microblading that had been done by another brow artist a couple years ago - it was faded and turned red. I came to Ana for color correction and ombre brows and she did not disappoint! Shes very knowledgeable about brows and you can tell she genuinely has a passion for what she does. She took the time to explain everything from start to finish making me feel comfortable and confident in the process. She really took her time to perfect the shape that I wanted and triple checked to make sure everything was symmetrical. I nervous about the pain but she reassured me that I would feel little to no pain.. I barely felt anything! She is gentle and very precise with her techniques. I loved the way my brows turned out so much I even brought my Mom to get her brows done too! She is absolutely the sweetest and I definitely will be recommending her to all my family and friends.
