I came across BAM Beauty's IG post about doing a lamination and tint as an alternative and immediately made an appointment. I was IN LOVE with the results and felt so beautiful and confident with my full, shapely brows. PLEASE NOTE that if you do get this done, your brows will look VERY DARK in the first day or two, so don't make any dinner plans after your appointment (see picture *with caution*). Get your brows tinted about a week ahead of whatever it is you want to look your best for. The two Gel manicures my partner received came out beautifully, so if you're not on a time crunch and that is all you are looking for, you will walk out happy. My first visit was a fill, as the integrity of my previous Gel-X was maintained, and overall both the fill, shaping, and nail are were satisfactory. I needed a new set on this visit, and things went downhill quickly. I pointed out that numerous nails were too narrow, and it was shrugged off (some builder gel was placed on the sides, but nothing further.) He then tried to push acrylic on me, and laughed when I expressed that acrylic does not work for me, and I had not previously had issues with Gel-X over nearly two years. I would have walked out if I had the option. As a result, not a single pair of fingers is consistent (as pictured,) the "stiletto" tips are not centered, the shaping is horribly unflattering on my hands, not one nail has a proper apex due to the initial application being significantly longer than the length I expressed I would want. The "cat-eye" I paid additional for is barely noticeable. At least the color itself is pretty. Back to the drawing board, as my quest for a competent apres gel-x tech in the area now continues.

A little back story: I've had my brows microbladed twice in the past by other artists. The first…read moretime was not a great experience and it left my brows uneven. In the last 10 years they have faded into a greyish color but I held off on getting them touched up because of the pain of microblading. Jamie is phenomenal! She addressed ALL of the little details that bothered me about my brows. She started off by doing a color correction to take out the gray. I never thought I would be able to achieve perfect symmetry after getting them done previously by another artist, but someone Jamie was able to do it! She explained every detail to me and made sure I was comfortable before starting. I felt extremely at ease during the whole process. And the icing on top of the cake... it was PAINLESS! There is an extensive questionnaire on first visit but it's to help both you and the waxer. I generally get my brows threaded but she used soft wax and there was no skin reaction that I tend to have. My visit was near closing, so there seemed to only be 2 staff there waxing.
