Booked an appointment 10pm the night before for an appointment on 1/11, got an email saying I'd get a follow up message and my appt was awaiting review, never received one so I went to the studio in case it did get accepted, got here 10 minutes early, no one was in the studio, no noise no music, the door was open so I waited inside for 5 minutes past my appointment time, no one seemed to be around. Tried calling the number twice and no answer. The strangest experience I've ever had. I'm just hoping I don't get charged a no show fee afterwards. Still inside as I'm writing this. Really awful experience but very strange, I hope the employees are ok? Weird. Won't be coming back I guess. read more

I had the same experience as another yelper. Booked an appointment the day before, was told you cannot cancel since it's less than 24hrs. Receive an email immediately saying it's under reviewing and expect a follow up but never did. I showed up and it wasn't even opened, the door was closed and lights were off. I called and no answer. For someone coming from a different city 25 mins away it's a major inconvenience and I could have booked somewhere else. There wasn't even a follow up afterwards, nothing. I would suggest the owner put a note on their automated reservations to their customers to not come until their booking has been confirmed, it's such a waste of people's time and ruins the business reputation unless that's how she wants to run her business. read more

Just like Ike's Sandwiches, I will always give my support and sincere adoration towards TBM family no matter where they go and no matter what other locations will open in the future. It because of the relationships I have made and cultivated at their San Jose location and their overall mission it serves and continuously delivers to its client. When I first walked in, having no exposure or experience w/ lash extensions before I felt welcomed and part of the circle immediately and have been a loyal client since. It's true, we are still in the midst of the pandemic and uncertainty about this presidential election and yes, I am working from home, and I don't even go out. I don't even have time and don't enjoy late rendezvous because of the schedule I have built for myself but doing any sort of enhancements on yourself should be about you and for you, not for anybody else. And quite honestly, I don't have my video on during Zoom meetings but still, I know that my lashes look great. I workout 5-6 days a week, sometimes running 5-6 miles 3 days in a row and yet my lashes are strong and looking full always. VA and her technicians will always listen and provide feedback but I've noticed that they never try to sell you their services and that is a quality in customer service that you can't get anywhere else. Easy booking and rescheduling, you can cancel easily too but do give them at least 24-48 hours notice. The studio is bright and clean and they follow the COVID-19 protocols. Technicians all wearing masks properly and will always put your health and well-being above all else. If you're in Pleasanton or in that 680/580 area, get your lashes done here! I first had Ike's in their location off of 16th St. in San Francisco. Because I love their sandwiches and the owner so much, I supported and visited his other locations. Hell, I used to work at the Stanford location. I got the job thanks to my Yelp review. After I posted this review, VA reached out to me to apologize and offered a new service equal to the amount I originally paid. Although I wish I was offered a refund, I recently visited the San Jose location and received a full hybrid set by Ivy. I'm so glad I was able to visit their original location and I would recommend visiting their establishment. These lashes have lasted far longer than my first set and Ivy was an an absolute delight. VA is a lifesaver! I had an emergency where my regular lash lady canceled and I have a trip upcoming this weekend. VA was able not only to get me in for an appointment, but did an exceptional job! Finding a lash esthetician is by far the hardest thing to do. I have been getting lash extensions for over 10+. I've gone through so many esthetician and was never satisfied. They weren't all bad but decent. When a friend of mine told me about The Beauty Methods in San Jose, I feel in love. Everyone there are good. I mostly see Navi and she's the best. The location of salon is so convenient. Right next to my favorite cafe, The Press. Quienie was such a pleasure. From greeting to end. I came in for first time with lashes from another tech and just needed a refill. She actually had to take them off and give me a full set. However, she only charged me for a refill which was very nice of her. 4 stars because lash removal was a little rough and the tape for lower lid really irritated my eyes. Got my lashes done on 7/29- got a volume wispy cat eye. My whole appointment was about an hour or less, but I figured it was very fast because the owner (VA is her name I believe) did my lashes . My lashes looked very nice. After a week, I noticed that my lashes were hurting randomly, even though I always ensured that I cleaned them at least 3x a week/brushed them etc. I recently moved out of state and got my lashes filled by another lash artist- who said that my lashes were clumped together which was causing the pain I was having. So- va did my lashes very fast however she didn't ensure she actually did a good job. My lashes no longer hurt after my current last artist had to pull the clumps apart. I did like how my lashes LOOKED, however it was not worth the money at all because of the lack of detail/care. read more

I've been going to The Beauty Methods ever since they had one suite in San Jose. They've since expanded to two suites in San Jose and now have opened another location in Pleasanton! I love their lashes so much that I decided to take their classic and volume class in Pleasanton. The location is a lot bigger than San Jose and parking is spacious. VA conducted the class really well was very patient with all 6 of us. I've been getting lashes done by this company for many years. I have never been disappointed with their work and can only hope I lash just as good as them one day lol. She's very friendly and very accommodating to how I want my lashes done and to my schedule. So easy to cancel and re schedule appointments via text. We make things work. Sitting in the parking lot writing this. This is the second time I've had an appointment mishap. The first time was a few weeks ago, they did not have someone available to come to the pleasanton location, even though I verbally confirmed my appointment for Pleasanton the afternoon before. Now today, I get a call at 12:50, saying they don't have someone available for my 1:30 appointment, despite receiving a text and email confirmation the day prior, confirming my appointment (and I made the appointment a week and a half ago). I don't understand why the appointment was even "Accepted" if there is no one available for this date and time. Now, after multiple unanswered calls, I am still waiting to hear back from someone on when my appointment will be reschedule. This is unfortunate because the location is convenient for me, it's a cute studio with comfortable lounge chairs and the technicians are talented and very sweet. But the unreliable scheduling is really tough when you only have limited days off and can't reschedule last minute. read more

I've been here 3 times. The first visit was great! Got a lash lift and tint, and they were able to tint my brows as well. Expensive, but worth it. On my 2nd visit, I booked a lash and brow tint in preparation for a wedding, and the aesthetician informed me at the last minute that she couldn't do my brows. Super frustrating. Now I'm here for my third and last time. Appointment booked and confirmed for 4:30pm, and here I sit an hour later and no one has helped me. Update: it's been a week and there's only a couple left per eye. Maybe it's the glue or maybe it's the girl doing my lashes, but ive gotten it done twice and both times 80% fell out within a couple days/max a week. The shape really was pretty and everyone there was so nice but i really cant afford to pay almost $200 for something that's going to last a couple days. Another update: it might just depend on the artist. I got my lashes done with VA this time and I'm in the cancun heat with so much moisture and im also in and out of the pool, but I lost maybe 10% of the lashes. They still look great!!
