Amy is the best. I've only had my eyebrows done by her but I wouldn't dream about going anywhere else. She is very meticulous about making sure your brows are just right. She takes her time to take all measurements to make your eyebrows as symmetrical as possible. For those that don't know, most eyebrows on one person are not the same. So goes the saying that our eyebrows are sisters, not twins. I've have been going to Amy for about 5 years now. She has such a well rounded personality. I feel pretty... oh so pretty... My eyebrows have always been pencil thin & growing thick, full brows has never come easy. I've gone through stencil kits, brow kits, tints, the entire NYX product line, henna, wet n' wild, you name it. My goal for 2020 was microblading, but COVID had other plans. Once the world started opening up again last year, I knew I wanted to try and finally get my brows done. I had a few recommendations, but one was on the peninsula and another was in Woodland. I know we have great services here in the East Bay, so I was set on someone local. I came across Amelia and rabbit holed through her pictures, services, etc. and set up a phone consultation. We chatted through what I was hoping to get from her, talk about my natural hair, my skin tone and type, and we ended with her asking me to send some pics with and without makeup to see what I was working with. She explained the difference between microblading, powder shading and a combo of the two. After realizing I was probably using the terms interchangeably, I decided on just powder shading, and we set my first appointment. Amelia's office was very clean, and she was friendly and professional. Most of the session was spent with her blocking out the shape before we got started. Once she was happy with the shaping, she started applying the numbing cream, which was added a few more times throughout the session. Even though hyperpigmented at the end, I was so happy with the results. I scheduled my 4 week touch up before leaving, and was given my after care instructions. If God created an eyebrow saint her name would be Amelia. I had previously had my brows done by someone with very little experience and unfortunately for me it did not work out well. I reached out to Amelia in a complete panic and she spent over an hour on the phone with me calming me down and talking me through what she could and couldn't do to help me. Just finished up my touch up appointment about 3 weeks ago, and couldn't be happier with he results! My brows had become so light and thin they required daily application of pencil to be seen, which would wear off. Now they look great, very natural, and no need for touchups! A friend (who's an esthetician) recommended Amelia to me after many of her clients had used her and been thrilled with their results. Amelia explained the procedure over the phone in detail before agreeing to make the appointment. When I arrived for the first treatment, she explained everything again, then set about measuring and carefully mapping out where my natural eyebrows would be. I opted to do both the microblading (hair strokes) and the powder finish to give it a 3D, natural appearance. Start to finish this is NOT a quick process, so plan accordingly! Complimentary touch up followed 4 weeks later as the initial treatment would shrink and lighten up to 50% (it did.) After care was easy. I have dogs and horses, so had to take a little more care than the average person post treatment while I healed. Pain was minimal as she numbed the treated areas. I have to say this hurt a little bit more than other procedures I have done and I can take pain. We talked about how everyone takes the ink and the procedure itself differently and my skin just seemed to be more sensitive. But I was loving how they came out. Amy discussed the pros and cons with me prior to us starting. At 61 years old I finally made the decision to have my eyebrows done.
