This is a bit delayed, but I went to Yolanda sometime in March of 2013 after doing some research on yelp since I badly needed my brows to get redone again. I just moved to San Leandro about a year before and I was used to getting mines done at Faces Plus in San Francisco, but after the last time I went, they didn't do such a good job so I decided to look elsewhere. I found Yolanda and made an appointment and she was very sweet and knowledgeable. She fixed the arch on my right side and drew out the brows before starting. She took her time which I really appreciate and they came out better than I could've hoped for - waaay better than even my first time at Faces Plus! She gave me a little package of ointment and told me what I should and shouldn't do to take care of them so they wouldn't fade as fast. I went to Yolanda to have my eyeliner done. I had it done once four years ago, but it completely faded away except for the corners. When I had it done before, the woman used the "soft touch" method and because of that I was hesitant to do it again. I made an appointment with Yolanda and she explained the process to me. She used a gun, so much quicker and she numbs you. My eyes kept watering and fluttering and she was very patient ( I had a lot of anxiety) so she had me breathe and did the whole counting thing with me. All in all, great experience. She makes you feel at home and totally reminded me of one of my aunts. A week later I went back for lashes, its been two and a half weeks and they're still in. She went out of her way to get me in to see her before Xmas. I took my mom who is 84 years old to Miss Yolanda at Permanently yours for micro blading eye brow tattoo. My mom has never had any tattoos neither do I. So I did not know what to expect. From the moment we walked in to her cute salon we were warmly welcomes and we both felt at ease. The Salon was extremely clean and comfortable. This is very important for a first timer like myself. A friend of mine got your eyebrows tattooed by Yolanda and they looked great. I SWORE I would never get a tattoo, but I have light blond hair and can't draw them on very well. I went twice. The first time included a consultation, explanation and she stopped either because I was sneezing constantly or to show me what she was doing. I went back about 6 weeks later for a touch-up. She thought the taupe color turned a little too red on my skin, so did a color correction and then brush stroked some darker brown hairs. Based on the Yelp reviews, I make an appointment with Yolanda for my mom to get her in-lash liner and bottom liner. The process was quick fast and pretty much painless. My mom is 83 years old and deathly afraid of needles, so if she felt it was fine, then that means it is basically painless!! My mom's eyelashes were all white so when you looked at her, you could barely see her eyes. This light, tasteful liner that Yolanda applied just defined her eyes and made them stand out a bit. My mom absolutely loved it. It made her look years younger and even her attitude has changed. She is so excited to see her friends because she knows she looks good. I had been toying with the idea of getting my eyebrows done for years and finally took the plunge. It was a great decision. Yolanda will do whatever you want but I let her do what she felt was best. It was quite painful - I would definitely advise taking tylenol or something before the procedure. She does put painkiller on which eventually kicks in, but the first part of the procedure was horrendous. Also, as she predicted, it was way too dark for my liking at first. However, that has faded. They are still a little darker than I would like, but they look good and very natural. Unfortunately, it is not a truly permanent procedure and will have to be redone in two or three years. Yolanda is wonderful! I went to her after viewing her great reviews here on YELP and I am NOT disappointed! I needed to have my eyebrows touched up and reshaped a bit as my original tattoo job was in 2005 or so. She was great, she works with you by penciling in until you are COMPLETELY satisfied with the shape then she matches colors until the perfect shade is achieved. After this she is fast and efficient with a very light hand. I was impressed. She also has a great personality and has been doing this for over 20 years. She is perfectionistic and does not get offended or upset when you ask her to try again or change this or that, she truly understand that it is YOUR face not hers. Her prices are comparable and fair and if you get multiple procedures she will work out a great deal for you. It is best to text message her because she is a very busy woman with her TWO locations and all. Sometimes it does take a couple hours for her to get back to you but this is understandable because she does not stop working every five minutes to answer her phone as I have seen some people do in the past. I don't know about anybody else but I very much appreciate this so I do not mind waiting for a reply. Again Yolanda is great!
