When I first started in late 2025, I didn't realize how much intentional self-care could benefit not only my skin, but my soul too. Each visit feels like an investment in myself. Jenny is absolutely amazing. She is attentive and intentional throughout the entire session, carefully prepping my skin and giving it the love and care it needs. Booked through the website, Paid my deposit and everything and was super excited for the experience. The description is: "Treat your back to a luxurious Back Facial that improves elasticity, hydration, and texture while stimulating collagen production for firmer, more youthful skin. With deep cleansing, exfoliation, and nourishing masks, this rejuvenating treatment revitalizes dry or uneven skin on your back, leaving it smoother and brighter." Got the confirmation text and email and confirmed everything. When I got there, Jenny very kindly informed me that she actually no longer does the back facials, she only does face facials now. I was definitely disappointed, but I had already driven there and had the day off, so I opted for the 10 step Korean facial instead ($199 before tip). She said that she was currently doing an offer for $199 instead of $300+, so I figured why not. This one is 90 minutes instead of 60 minutes. If it's your first time coming, I would recommend getting there 5 mins ish before your appointment so you can park and find the entrance to her room - there's a lot of other businesses here so I did have to take a lap to find the right door in the hallway. Pros: The whole facial experience was actually pretty great - the whole place is clean, easy parking out front. And it's very involved, in a good way. it includes massage to the face, shoulder, neck, arms, as well as all the regular facial stuff like extractions and a mask. She also uses the Plasonic machine (which can feel hot like it's burn/zapping your skin) but you can tell her if it feels too hot and she'll change the settings. She got rid of my blackheads with an ultrasonic skin scrubber and extracted all my whiteheads. There's also red light therapy. The studio is super clean, and Jenny is super sweet and nice, definitely easy to trust the Korean lady. I definitely would not mind coming back for another facial - I left there with my skin feeling super soft, she gave me some skincare tips, and it's a great location if you live in Castro Valley or San Leandro. I would definitely recommend wearing comfortable and thinner pants, because it gets pretty hot in the room with all the treatments. My highest praise would include that the extraction part wasn't as painful as other facials I've had, and the shoulder/neck/arm massage was surprisingly really helpful in relieving some pain I had from work! Cons: - I think it was really hard for me to give a 5, since I feel like I fell for false advertising thinking I was coming for a back facial. Things worked out in the end and I was due for a facial anyway - but I would have done some things differently (like not washed my hair beforehand, since it got a lot oilier after the scalp massage) if I had known I wasn't getting the back facial. Her service is great and I would highly recommend her for facials - and it sounds like her microblading is well appreciated too - but just be aware there are NO back facials here.

And I have tried my hardest to refrain from scratching. Mary Orlando has 17 years of experience under her belt now. She is a perfectionist and is very crafty when it comes to measuring your face up to ensure the work she does on you will maintain a balance to your features. She has clients coming to see her from all over the bay area that she tries to make it as convenient as possible for you to get to her. I did not want to drive all the way from SSF to Castro Valley so she offered to pick me up from the Bart station and dropped me off when we were done. I don't think anyone would do that for their client. I first found out about Mary through a friend's cousin (she had her eyebrows done by Mary). Mary charges around $400 for a first time customer, which includes a free touch-up, and $150 per visit after that. I think it's a great investment considering that it lasts up to 2-3 years when you take good care of them (especially during its healing process). I had my brows done by a lady named Kanako @ Venus Permanent in downtown SF previously, but the color didn't last more than a year (which is why I had to find someone else better). She also did not accept appointments on weekends. A major plus: Mary will accept your appointment on weekends and is fairly flexible!!! Note: She accepts cash or check only. No credit cards.

First off, this space is accessible. Even though this location is near CV High there is always parking available and there is a private parking lot! So one of my typical stressors (and likely yours) is lifted! Second, Heather is super accommodating, I emphasized that I have sensitive skin and she gave me a free consultation before I had my first real facial. This gave me the opportunity to test her products and see how she treated her clientele before I booked an official appointment, but when I did I was not disappointed. In fact, my skin felt supple, dewey and I was glowing! (And trust me, this is difficult. I have severe eczema and it is hard to trust anyone, but my dermatologist with my skin.), but with Heather's patience and help I was able to get a full facial and feel the most relaxed and fresh than I have ever felt in the longest time. I found Yolanda and made an appointment and she was very sweet and knowledgeable. She fixed the arch on my right side and drew out the brows before starting. She took her time which I really appreciate and they came out better than I could've hoped for - waaay better than even my first time at Faces Plus! She gave me a little package of ointment and told me what I should and shouldn't do to take care of them so they wouldn't fade as fast.
