So it is now Day 3 since my eyebrows were done by Mary and it's looking good. It is currently going through a healing process because it's ITCHING LIKE CRAZY! And I have tried my hardest to refrain from scratching. Mary Orlando has 17 years of experience under her belt now. She is a perfectionist and is very crafty when it comes to measuring your face up to ensure the work she does on you will maintain a balance to your features. She has clients coming to see her from all over the bay area that she tries to make it as convenient as possible for you to get to her. I did not want to drive all the way from SSF to Castro Valley so she offered to pick me up from the Bart station and dropped me off when we were done. I don't think anyone would do that for their client. I first found out about Mary through a friend's cousin (she had her eyebrows done by Mary). Mary charges around $400 for a first time customer, which includes a free touch-up, and $150 per visit after that. I think it's a great investment considering that it lasts up to 2-3 years when you take good care of them (especially during its healing process). I had my brows done by a lady named Kanako @ Venus Permanent in downtown SF previously, but the color didn't last more than a year (which is why I had to find someone else better). I would have recommended Mary several years ago, however, the quality of her work has significantly declined and she does not stand behind her work. Had my permanent eyeliner redone for the 2nd time and, following the healing process, spots were "missed" or did not "take". I am extremely conscientious about my aftercare following the procedure. Her prices are higher than most, but because I was satisfied with her work several years ago, I decided to return. I would just like to take a minute to let everyone know how rude and unkind the woman running this business is. It was noon on a Tuesday and she felt the need to follow me, a 9 1/2 month pregnant woman with a walking cane, and 3 children into a movie theater and threaten to tow our car in a very hostile manner right in front of the children. Even the staff at the theater were at a loss for words. Mind you it was the middle of the day and there was 10 + empty parking spaces in that lot. She then proceeded to stand outside of my car till I moved it while watching with pride as I wobbled all the way back from having to find a parking spot down the street. I have never experienced such inconsideration! Especially from another woman. What go's around comes around lady! And if I didn't have children with me I would of gave you a piece of my mind! Pregnant or not! I will never bring any business to your facility and I can only hope others will boycott your facility to! read more

I first started going to Mary about 12 years ago. I had surgery on my upper lip when I was 4 years old and it never healed right which messed up the shape of my top lip. Whoever this woman is, I do not know her. I have never in the 20 years of business at this office told anyone to move their car. In fact I have given up my space for people who are not supposed to park there. I have a very high reputation and do not want it to be ruined by this untruth. I was a nurse for 30 years and would never disrespect a pregnant woman . Many people (at lease 15) who work in this building. She has me mixed up with someone else. Consider this a rave review! I've been going to Mary Orlando for almost 3 years. In that time I've had my eyebrows done twice (recolored after 2 years) and my eyeliner done twice (darker the second time). The SofTap method that Mary uses is so painless that I actually drifted off to sleep the first time I had my eyes done. I really like the fact that Mary was a nurse for years before starting this business. She is meticulous with cleanliness and the disposal of the used needles. I found Mary through a friend who had had her brows done and recommended Mary highly. Now six of our friends have had work done by Mary. She always listens to what you want. She may suggest some slight change, but in the end it's your face and what you want. I love not having to fiddle with eye make-up in the mornings.
