SOOO glad I found Pat! Well, more like so glad my friend referred me to him. His shop is actually relocated to Seventh St. in Berkeley now, but looks like no updated Yelp. Anyways, this is the second time coming to Pat for my forearm tat. He is very professional, shop is super clean, and he takes his time to make sure his work is more than 100%. I always recommend him to anyone looking for an artist.
After losing our parents, me and my 2 sisters wanted to get tattoos that symbolized our connection. We are all we have left now. King's was local and had great reviews from what I could see. The only person that works at King's Tattoo is Lucky. He did all of our tattoos ($150 each). We were so happy. That day. But the healing process was awful for all three of us. The writings faded, the hearts literally fell off. And it showed flaws with the tats themselves. Hearts uneven, or don't even connect, sloppy. Well I've reached out to Lucky on several occasions asking him if he could touch up our tats. He didn't want to see the image of how they healed. Odd right? He gave me the run around, booked us a month in advance then cancelled the day before, he's too busy or just haven't responded as of late. I even asked if another artist there could touch them up...but apparently he's the only one working there. We will go some place else. It was so easy for him to book us and take the $450 we paid. But when it came time to fix the tats, he ghosted. My older sister's tat looks so bad she is having it covered up and redone by someone else. I have never been disappointed in a tattoo until now. I do not recommend. At all. Unprofessional and messed up on 3 of the simplest tats. How do you mess up all 3? Lucky only wanted to communicate on Yelp so hopefully he sees this. There are amazing tattoo shops in San Leandro...dont go to Thieves Tattoo, I mean King's Tattoo. Lucky will take your money, mess up his own work and ghost you.
Great place , clean , professional and very welcoming. Lucky is really nice and make you feel comfortable all the time . I definitely recommend this place . I'll be back for more !!
It's been an amazing experience at Kings Tattoo. Lucky welcomed me into the shop with open arms. Just came back from the military to finish up my right arm and I feel like it's my 3rd home. He's professional and really clean. TV be rolling & music be bumpin. The whole shop is a vibe! Lucky basically finished a sleeve for me, all I just need some background in some empty spots. Lucky knows how to keep a conversation going. He's really nice and ask me for breaks when he sees me fucking dying. That was the worst pain I ever experienced, but it was worth it. It took 10 hours and 30 minutes to finish this tattoo and in my opinion it's a 10/10 for me! Can't wait to heal this sick ass tat. Hit up Lucky because his price is reasonable, I got shocked when he told me it. I thought it would cost more lmao. Hit up my boy Lucky, he gets me right every time. I was a little hesitant to come at first but a co worker told me about getting his tattoos here. I just walked in and met with Pat. He was extremely easy going and to talk to. I gave him my ideas and he said he would work on it the next week and to keep sending him thoughts and ideas. The next sesh he threw together my ideas and was way better then I expected! I was super impressed! Definitely knows what he's doing and his line work and creativity is amazing. Will be coming back for my next one :)
In short- don't look any further- Pat@ Kings the man and I couldn't be happier with my very first tattoo! In detail: I had been thinking about getting my first tattoo for a long time and after thorough research decided to go with Kings and I'm so happy I did for the following reasons - Pat made me feel so comfortable during the consult and answered every question I had as a first timer - They were booked out for months but Pat worked to incorporate my needs - we did a custom design, and Pat did 2-3 different drafts of the piece and took feedback every time while incorporating his own touches -Pat was in constant communication until the appointment day - The place was immaculately clean and Pat explained all the equipment and showed me every needle in it's packaging before using it on me - the experience with getting the tattoo was phenomenal ( I watched movies on Netflix and we chatted about a whole bunch of things- he's so good at distracting you from the pain!) - the pain wasn't too bad and he provided ample amount of breaks - It took an hour more than scheduled but Pat truly takes pride in his work and didn't rush through anything - the end result turned out even better than the final sketch!! Thank you Pat!!!!
It's safe to say I was a bit nervous when getting my first tattoo. However, Vi is very easy to talk to and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entirety of the session. I came in with a design I had in mind and he asked if he could put in his own flavor to the work. The result was remarkable and came out much better than I imagined when I first went in. He was able to work with my tight schedule and put in a lot of effort towards the detail: both of which I appreciate. I would definitely come back in the future!
This is the best tattoo shop I ever been to. Pat and Vy cool dudes. They take cash, card and venmo! I got a half sleeve done by Pat and I love the work he did. Pat takes his time and ask if you need breaks to stretch out your arm. If you are serious about tattoos come to this place and check them out. If you come for a face to face consultation I suggest you book your appointment too because they're always booked. For future pieces I'm coming back to this place. Both of them are tattoo masters. I am near 40 now and had never gotten a tattoo before, so with much trepidation and care, I began my search for the artist who would be able to tell my story and leave a legacy on my skin for the rest of my earthly life. So glad to have found this artist in Pat at King's Tattoo. I visited and consulted with 6 (SIX!) different shops (2 in Fremont, 2 in Dublin, 1 in Hayward, and this one in San Leandro) - all found through Yelp, mind you, and most of them with 5 to 15 times more reviews, but ultimately decided on Pat and am so glad I did. Here are the reasons I went with him. 1) Every person ultimately has to choose the tattoo artist that they feel most comfortable with but the first reason I went with Pat is because, more than anyone else I talked to, he makes you feel like a FRIEND from the moment you walk in. Not all, but many of the other places I went to felt so ... business-y. I don't know how to describe it other than kind of stuffy and filled with waivers and procedures and getting you in and out as quick as possible. Nothing against them...I run a business, too, and completely respect this part of it, but didn't want to feel like a product on an assembly line for something so important. Pat was warm and chill and laid back from the beginning. He patiently listened to my idea and offered a creative suggestion that ultimately improved upon it. (More on that in point #2.) Throughout the tattoo process he was also quick to implement any suggestions I had based on what I wanted. 2) TALENT. Can't believe that as of 2018 this man has "only" been tattooing for six years! Years don't mean anything if you don't have talent and this man has it in spades. As of June 2018 his Instagram handle is @kings_projectpat (this may change over time). Check it out! The man's work is so clean! He truly is versatile with regard to styles of tattoos, doing everything from realistic/futuristic black and whites to color. Look at my tattoo! I love it! So here's my story: I was born and raised in Hawaii and these iconic islands are known as "The Mokes" located off the east side of Oahu off the beautiful shores of Lanikai (one of the Top 10 beaches in the world). I came to Christ when I was 18 and was baptized on those very shores. At first I knew I wanted the cross and the islands but wasn't sure where to put the cross. He suggested that I incorporate it into the waters as a sign of my baptism...genius! Look at his line work on my tattoo! The outline of my cross is perfect and so clean. Look at the detail of the islands! The shading is so nuanced and detailed and the outline could not have turned out any better; all my Hawaii friends instantly recognize it. Also check out the texture and the gradations of shading on my beautiful blue ocean....love it! 3) AFFORDABILITY. I ain't gonna tell you how much it cost (you can message me though), but suffice it to say, based on the hourly rates the other places quoted me, if these other places had taken the time that Pat had on my tattoo, this tattoo would have easily cost 3-4 times as much. Pat took so much time and care with my tattoo. You can tell he is truly proud of his craft and cares about each and every final product. I loved the fact that he quoted me based on my piece versus hourly so I didn't need to poop my pants watching the clock and hours and seeing my bank account shrink. Pat is kind, talented, easy on the budget, and quick to respond to messages (not the case with many other parlors, I assure you). I recommend him wholeheartedly and without hesitation. Book with this man now before he blows up! He's going to, I promise.
Kings Tattoo was a highly enjoyable experience. The moment I stepped I was welcomed with great energy. Pat was very kind, professional, and even accepted me as a walk-in. Getting the tattoo was amazing and very relaxing. The shop environment was really cool everyone was nice. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Got my first tattoo here, and I don't regret it at all. I love it . Pat and King treat you like you're at home!They offer you food, and let you choose any movie you want while you lay back and get tatted. You can easily get along with them too. Don't get me started on how talented they are either!! read more

Update: have 3 tattoos from here now and I love them all !!!! I'm so happy I found this shop! Me and my sister both got our first tattoos done here. They were extremely welcoming and friendly when we called and walked in. We got our work done by Pat but the other man who came in was also super friendly and talented. Pat made me feel very comfortable and designed my tattoo exactly how I wanted (even better actually). I asked him to put a little artistic touch on the characters and it came out better then I even imagined. By the end of the session I felt like these guys were my good friends. Dope ass place! Highly recommend! Will be coming here for my next tattoo soon and I can't wait!!!! read more

Clean shop in a great location. The shop is near tons of restaurants, and located on a Main Street. Easy to find and parking isn't a problem. Vinam is the owner and he is extremely professional and has a great eye with a steady hand. He keeps in constant communication with you and makes sure he's on the same page with what you want. His equipment is impressively clean and new. You can tell he takes pride in his shop and his clients. My husband and I have been keeping up with his work on his Instagram page @kings_tattoo and he has progressively gotten better throughout the years. Excited to see the final product! My husband has been dying to get work done from him and I'm so glad he finally committed. He's gotten some of the outline done, and we couldn't have been more pleased. He would've written this himself but he's not big on reviews. Lol read more

Vi did an excellent job on my tattoo. It was my first tattoo and I LOVE IT SO MUCH! He is funny and chill which makes you feel more comfortable when you're getting your tattoo done. He takes his time and focus on the details to make the artwork outstanding! I love the vibes when I walk in there and all the artwork I've seen they've done are just perfect I HIGHLY recommend this place!! read more

Five stars does this place no justice! This place is a MUST GO. This is the cleanest tattoo place I've been to. The atmosphere is great and the place is organized really well. The guys there are very personable and are sure to impress. Pat did my tattoo and he spent a lot of time on it, ensuring I was satisfied. I didn't like the first placement of the stencil, he said, "no worries", removed it and took sharpies to fill it in to where I liked. It blew my mind that he free handed my tattoo so beautifully with sharpie. He has a lot of talent and I recommend anyone looking for a tattoo of anything to come to these guys. They are super personable and you get the family treatment. They are priced really well too. You definitely get more than what you pay for visiting Vi and Pat at Kings Tattoo. read more

These guys are the best. Period. Professional, reasonable, talented and clean shop. Full service, over and above. Got two hand tats already complete. Did almost a 4 hour session with Pat. The original photo I sent him prior to the appointment, he said was not what he recommended, that it was super basic and if I wanted he could do something a lot more detail and he showed me and it was. If I would of went to any other shop they wouldn't of done that. These guys are awesome. read more

Vi and Pat do an outstanding job listening to the client, preparing the sketch, and delivering the final product. I came to them looking to cover up a tattoo I had been hiding from twenty years ago and not only did they accomplish that, but Pat created a masterpiece that I am now very proud to display! They are both extremely personable and welcoming, and the shop is very clean and comfortable. After twenty years of former regret, these guys made me proud to showcase their work! Happy to know that there's a great tattoo shop in San Leandro near me. I found them on yelp and saw that they had all five star reviews. They lived up to my expectations. Danny, who did my tattoo, was the one who was there the day I came in and was hella chill. The shop was smaller than I expected but I like it. Set up an appointment easily and I'm really happy how my tattoo came out. He made it better than I imagined it to be. Danny was patient and made sure I was okay the whole time. The owner of the shop, Vi, was nice and funny. He even gave me a chicken bake and made sure I ain't thirsty. They took care of me and I definitely recommend Danny and this shop for your next tattoo. read more
