He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and took the time to help my daughter design the perfect skateboard. They had so many awesome deck designs to choose from, a great selection of wheels, and tons of fun stickers that made the whole experience even more exciting for her. While we were waiting for everything to be put together, I believe the manager came out and was just as friendly. He welcomed us and made us feel right at home, which really added to the overall experience. One thing that really stood out to me was a sign about rewarding kids for getting good grades. I thought it was such a cool idea that they encourage kids by letting them earn free skateboard parts and other goodies. I love seeing businesses invest in their community like that. I will do my best to leave an honest review! The staff at this location are very friendly, but I believe the piercing artists aren't too experienced. About a year ago for my birthday, my husband took me here to get my snake eyes tongue piercing redone, and the girl was very sweet and confident, which I found comforting. however, I think she followed where my piercing had ripped, so I can't completely blame her, but it healed crooked and I wasn't happy and had to take it out. It was $65 down the drain. Thinking this was a one-off, we ended up going to get my husband's nose pierced for his birthday, but they hit a nerve and it did not heal correctly, got infected and ended up needing to be taken out. I think that the staff are very friendly here, but they need more experienced piercers. The lady who changed out my piercings at this location was very sweet and cleaned them out for free. She did not change or give me new jewelry, but she cleaned my existing jewelry for free, and I really appreciated her. I wish I remembered her name, but it has been so long. I only just joined yelp. I brought my wife here to get 2 sets of earrings reinstalled in her existing ear piercings that may have closed up. Fully expecting to pay for 2 new piercings, a nice girl by the name of Alex helped us and asked if she could take a closer look. My toddler has recently taken great interest in skateboarding so we were very excited to visit Orbit today! Keanu was amazing at advising the proper size and accompanying parts for Onyx's new board. He professionally assembled Onyx's board and also does fitting for protective gear! Keanu's customer service is top tier and he really makes the whole skate world very inviting, he also directed us to Rob's Skate Academy and we absolutely cannot wait to check it out. So happy we found this place on yelp. Close to home and such a cool experience. Typically you see pricing parlors attached to tattoo parlors so I was happy to see this hybrid piercing skate shop. They have this down to a science we came in and were greeted within minutes. Picked what we wanted paid and waited. It was packed for a Sunday. The whole process was 1 hour. And for a pair of Tragus, and 2 pairs of lob piercings the grand total was $270 plus tip so that brought the total to $300. I was a little disappointed that I was rung up for jewelry that they ended up not having in stock. So I had to settle for cheaper jewelry but since I already paid, I had to bring up the fact that it was an $8 difference. The piercer said she could do store credit but it was not initiated when the issue arose. I ended up just leaving after the piercings forfeiting my store credit. I had all 4 of my kids and the younger two were getting antsy so it was whatever at that point. Piercer was super gentle, knowledgeable and informative. Process went very smooth and effortlessly, she made it look easy. Highly recommend this place especially if you have kids. They let my 2 girls pull up their infinite campus and verified what they needed to and it was that simple. Will definitely be back for more piercings in the future. read more

This review is for the new location in castro valley. Not sure why every-time I come here the customer service is very poor. The piercers take their time to set up even when there is no line , I once waited 10 minutes to get two piercing because the workers were in the rooms just talking. The next time my piercer had an attitude and made me feel awkward when i was trying to have a conversation with her. The last time I came we were told it was gonna be a 10 minute wait, I ended up leaving because it took over 20 minutes. Today I came to simply get jewelry changed , the front of house workers were helpful as usual but as for the piercer claiming to have called my name (i was at the counter the entire time and did not hear a thing) , someone else came to the counter to help us we explained that they helped us we just needed to pick out the jewelry. The piercer who allegedly called my name told the other worker "oh they're yours now i was calling them but nobody came". Just to add the person who took my name down was standing right in front of them when she said that. This place is cool and my primary spot to come and get my piercings but the customer service has not been satisfactory. I just wish they were all on the same page with the process. Alex and Diane always clean the area and use lubricant beforehand, while others dont. Then while browsing another person approached us and asked if we were doing okay. They had tons of jewelry options to choose from and the pricing is great! Those did not turn out so well. Cris from orbits did such a great job a my kids ear piercing that I came back a few days later for myself. Me and my sister were recommended here by two people despite living in Redwood City. When we walked in, the guy with a buzz cut at the front was super friendly and helpful. We waited around 30-40 minutes to get a double nostril and belly button piercing. The lady who pierced us was also nice and informative on after care.
