I called to check availability and a tattoo artist who can do fine lines. I spoke to Blake and he suggested to come as they have two tattoo artists coming in a half hour. I went ahead and started driving as the drive was 35 minutes away. When I got there, he had me meet Divine who was the tattoo artist and I showed her a picture of the tattoo I would like. She drew it and I was so particular about the size being much smaller than the picture that she went back a handful of times to adjust the size. She was so very patient and kind with me. She took me to the back to do the tattoo and placed it on my wrist and it was still somewhat bigger than what I had wanted. Once again she was very kind and patient enough to adjust it and shorten it. She was very gentle and meticulous about her work. I loved how it turned out and I loved being able to get this done by her just as a walk in. I will definitely recommend this place and Divine. Thank you! read more

horrible experience, Natasha did my friend and I ear and nose piercings. We walked in and no greeting at the door, just sitting at the coin nonchalantly. She asks us to fill out the forms and ignored us once we were done to attend someone who came in after us. She had to pierce my friend nose TWICE and even admitted to it !! If I could give negative stars, I would. I have 19 piercings done at various shops, and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I came in to have my septum piercing reinserted after removing it for a medical procedure a week prior. Instead of simply putting back the real gold jewelry I purchased for $300 at Zebra, the piercer, Divine at Simms in Hayward, completely mishandled it. Not only did she fail to insert it properly, but she also bent my jewelry out of shape, leaving it no longer a perfect circle and dented in multiple spots. This was a very expensive piece that is now ruined due to her carelessness. I'm beyond disappointed and frustrated. This level of negligence is unacceptable. I would never return and would strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere if they care about their piercings and jewelry. read more

Got my nose pierced by Natasha. My nosering had closed up on the inside so I had a superficial ring for the past few years and finally got around to re-piercing. I forgot the feeling of a piercing so as she stuck the needle in I involuntarily whacked her with my arm but she seemed unphased. I had gotten my nose pierced THEN saw the Yelp page and thought to myself, great is my nose going to get infected. However, 0 complaints. It's been about 2 weeks and of course the usual soreness over the first few days. The piercing was still new and lasted me through a week in Mexico while it was still healing and now it is pretty much all healed. No complaints here. Thank you! read more

First timer at this location. There's a bike shop down stairs and from the side is the entry way to the Tattoo shop. Everyone is nice and knowledgeable. Pretty cool hang out spot as you wait to get a tattoo or a piercing. As you enter, it's a small lobby with front desk and some apparel. The salt tank was beautiful as well. There's a game room. Today, Feb. 11, 2022, would've been my mom's 96th birthday. She absolutely loved hummingbirds, it was a thing with her. So today I honored her with a tattoo. I walked-in at Simm's Ink above the motorcycle store. I found everyone there very nice, friendly and personable. I had to wait a bit while they designed my art in the lounge, an amazing party room with vending, pinball and a full bar. The bar wasn't open, I think it's for special occasions. I've come to Simms multiple times for piercings when I didn't know any better ‍ if there's a training piercer, they'll offer discounted prices depending on what type of piercing you want and how much training the "student" has received on it. I believe I got my nipple and my tragus pierced by Alexa(?). She was new at the time and eager to learn. So eager, that I believe she was too confident in her skill set for piercings she didn't have experience with. She pierced my nipple slightly into the areola and it never healed properly despite how well I was caring for it. My tragus, she pierced WAY too deep into my ear canal to the point I can't change it myself and I've always had problems with it. I went to zebra's to get a second opinion on them, and the piercer there told me what was wrong and why I was having a hard time. I had to take those piercing out. All the other piercings I got outside of Simms I didn't have any problems with and they healed fine. I just wish new piercers weren't allowed to be piercing clients alone... read more

Honestly the vibe is great going in & the artists working there are pretty good as well. It's really just the customer service I find lacking. Don't tell your clients they can come back for a touch up and then deny them again and again. I got some finger tattoos and I am not blind or delusional enough to think they would stay in the first time. I'm aware finger tattoos take up to three or fours times to solidly stick in. But the fact that I paid 200$ for something that didn't even take 10 minutes? The least they could do would be to hook it up with the touch up's instead of making me have to go pay another artist to do it. Honestly really bummed about the whole situation but whatever. If you're going to get a tattoo here, get it all done in one go or go somewhere else for a touch up. read more

I decided to drop in on a fluke before work to get my other nostril pierced, new belly button jewelry, another piercing and inquire about a couple tats. The front desk staff and piercer apprentice greeted me immediately with a smile. I was able to be serviced right away. The young female provided professional and efficient work. I ended up getting three belly button rings, one nose hoop in addition to my piercing. I noticed a lounge with a pool table, seating ares and I believe a bar. Way over Priced 200 bucks for what I got ... I got a tattoo and my artist wasn't happy I kept changing it around because I just wasn't happy with the copy & paste she was doing . first off who Goes to get a tattoo thinking it's going to be a copy and paste print from the computer . NOT ME right then I should of left . I wanted a simple eternity symbol with some words in it, not hard pretty simply . my best friend and I were getting matching tattoos, and waited very long to do this, and was just disappointed with the way it came out no artistic to it at all . it very blocky. They do do not draw it they find images on the computer and just print tape them together and then put them on your body who has ever got a tattoo and it wasn't wrapped immediately after Its done this place thinks that's OK. I am only giving this a two star due to my friends tattoo artist whose personality made it fun, but other than that I would not recommend this place.. as you can see not very good. This place easily gets 5 stars from me, I've had a lot of piercings in my time and this place is by far the easiest place to go. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I filled out their questionnaire, went in the waiting room for a couple of minutes then she pierced me and I was out of there. The spot is pretty sweet and there are SO many rooms, too. I was telling the piercer how it reminded me of a museum with so many things to look at. Only thing that is unfortunate the parking situation but other than that, I'd definitely come back. My nose piercing felt like it was closing up because I couldn't shift my hoop around. I tried fidgeting with it, but my nose was super swollen and painful. I started freaking out and decided to let the professionals handle it. Simms was the closest piercing shop open on a weeknight so I gave them a call. Zack is the piercer. He said he was off in 30 but would be willing to wait a bit for me if needed. Talk about great customer service! Zack helped me take out my hoop and switch back to a stud (because a straight bar would work better in my case). Afterwards, he told me how to treat the piercing, with either saline or a mixture of 1/4 teaspoon (iodine-free) sea salt and 8oz water. TIP: You'll want to go up the stairs to find Simms Ink. Went with my daughter on March 14th to get matching heart tattoos. We ended up getting different artists and requested they use the same stencil. Right after hers was done, we noticed it was bleeding a lot which seemed a little unusual. Fast forward 2.5 weeks later and her tattoo looks nothing like mine. It looks more like a scar than a tattoo which is pretty upsetting. I reached out to them last night via email asking for help and have not received a response yet. I got my nose pierced 3 weeks ago and asked if I can switch it out to a hoop. Although I know that it's never a good time to switch out a cartilage that early, my piercer, Natasha assured me that it was fine. That should have been an automatic red flag because for $20 I ended up with an infected nose piercing by the end of the day. Since this is my first cartilage piercing, I immediately called Simms Ink again and Natasha instructed me to apply aspirin paste 3 times a day for a week. Everyone knows that aspirin paste is acidic and can cause a burn. However, I still listened and infected my piercing even more. Within 4 days of the switch, I noticed pus excretions and blood every now and then. In less than a week, my healing piercing was inflamed, red, and infected. Regardless of this, Simms Ink said that it wasn't an infection, rather a "friction bump. " I tried tea tree oil, saline solution, and a salt soak - nothing worked because it had already been so infected. It hurt to even slightly touch my nose and cleaning it was a pain as well. Yesterday, I went to a different piercer and she immediately informed me that it was indeed an infection and we decided to switch back to my stud. The pain was extremely painful but I'm glad someone listened and didn't just focus on making profit. read more
