Thanks for the response Caroline, but just to be clear nothing was stated clearly when I was being pressured to sign up for membership (yes the spiel about how its more savings to get the membership) or that to make a follow up appointment, that a card was needed to hold. There was absolutely no mention of that. Otherwise I would have specified which card to use. All your team did was charge for the service for that day and did not state they would be using that same card as I did not authorize to keep that card on file. The card given was only to pay for the service and nothing else. I believe you were also there when the front desk was talking to me. All she asked for is which day and time. Even after telling her that since it was my first time I wanted to see if I having lashes was something I would want to continue. Either way I did not appreciate being blindsided and responding to my review with inaccurate info regarding my experience is definitely another red flag. I had high expectations for this establishment. My lash tech Alicia was very nice but I requested a true volume set and there was nothing voluminous about my lashes. My lashes are naturally thin and short but I've had full thick extensions placed at previous places. The quality of deka's lashes was very poor. First time getting my brows laminated and tinted. I paid $133 and it was not worth it. Such a waste of money and I totally regret it. This service was nothing like I had seen online. I paid for add ons to shape and wax my brows. They waxed, but you could still see the hairs. They did not shape my brows. The lamination made my hairs stick up until they were straight. They did not trim the hairs, so it looks horrible. The tint only darkened my hairs. I was hoping it was just me and would take some time to get used to, but no. No shade to the person that did the lamination and tint. The company does not do a good job of communicating or demonstrating their services. They didn't even ask any follow up questions or what I was looking for at any point in the entire process. read more

Not only was I charged incorrectly and lied to by the owner, I also found out by my new (Amazing) technician that due to the rushed application at Deka, I almost incurred an eye infection! The tech was kind and though the lashes took 2.5 hours for a classic set, the tech was very thorough which I appreciated. When the service was over, I joked about finally being able to head home and we can both have dinner as our stomachs were rumbling.
