Homey restaurant with great service. Cute interior with plenty of seating for the size of the place. Food is simple, straightforward, delicious and affordable. Breakfast for two was $36 after tip. There are two gender neutral bathrooms.

This was down the street from the Convention Center, so I took a chance on it for breakfast. It was all right. I had the cinnamon roll, which was only semi-sweet, and the server warned me that it had an apricot glaze. Thus I added the whipped cream from my hot chocolate to it, or else I just would have been eating bread. The hot chocolate was worth it. It was more, chocolaty, and creamy. Then I had an omelet--the one with the chilies and tomatoes. The eggs were served fluffy and the chilies and tomatoes were as expected. My English muffin was a little burnt, but they tasted good with the omelet between the bread. I feel like I should have had bacon... I have potatoes to munch on as leftovers.

Like many others we long for the old dozens back near civic center but this spot feels like stepping back in time to the original location. With lots of options on the menu Colorado / Denver themed this is a perfect diner / breakfast spot for you! The prices are reliable and the regulars and staff are amazing! Some of my favorites are the notanomelet and le toast francais

While this place had potential, it was so busy service wasn't great. My oatmeal was cold and had to get it warmed up. My coffee was only filled once so I ended up drinking water. The burritos had some meat in it that we couldn't tell what it was, maybe sausage?? But not sure. The fruit was fresh and mimosas were tasty.

I came here thinking it was another location for the Dozens I usually go to located in Aurora. Left extremely disappointed. I had to return the cinnamon roll because it's nothing like the one I was expecting and the waitress was rude about it telling me that they're not affiliated with the one in Aurora...girl how am i supposed to know that and why be rude about it? The last photo is what the cinnamon roll looks like at the other Dozens in Aurora. Clearly a big difference. Update (Sept 6, 2025): John, no one at our table ordered a burrito or took food home. In fact, we ate less than half of what was served. Instead of misrepresenting my review, I'd suggest focusing on the actual dining experience -- like the flies and gnats around the tables -- which was a real concern during our visit.

It's been a while since I've been downtown and this place moved while I was away. I decided to come and have lunch like the good ole days. Sweet server and I decided on the DTC because why break an old habit. Eggs over easy with bacon - always like breakfast for lunch. The eggs and bacon were on point. Potatoes yum. Pineapple slice not tart. English Muffin was good for sopping up eggs and with the apple butter. At least I think it was apple butter. Been a while. Cookie not so much but it was fun being at their new to me location. Clean and brightly lit. My little nook was great. Tucked away I could people watch and work a little on my phone. Hopefully I will be back downtown and can come to lunch again.

What a fantastic breakfast! I had the veggie Benedict and could have asked for a better meal. Situated in a charming historic building, the restaurant was quaint and welcoming. The service was fast and I was greeted kindly by three separate individuals. Really great spot.

this place is AMAZING. I'm definitely stopping by every time I fly in to Denver!! the cinnamon roll is so good! and the staff are so so so nice highly recommend if you are looking for classic and hearty breakfast. the potatoes are super crispy on the edges!

This is another great spot for breakfast in downtown Denver, conveniently within walking distance of most hotels in the area. My wife and I ordered an omelet and shared a Belgian waffle. We chose the "Imagine a Great Omelet," which was huge and packed with sautéed green peppers, onions, ham, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. It also came with an English muffin and diced potatoes. Unfortunately, by the time we got to the Belgian waffle, the whipped cream had made it soggy. While we still ate it, I'd recommend eating the waffle first to avoid this issue. I also ordered a Bloody Mary, but in my experience, it wasn't the best I've had. The service was excellent, and our waitress made sure we had a delightful experience. The restaurant's ambiance is warm and welcoming, and they offer both contactless and cash payment options.

Excellent breakfast place. The cinnamon roll is outstanding. The biscuits and gravy were pretty good. Arrive early, we waited 45 mins to get a table. Service was friendly and nice.

Well, I have visited this restaurant 3 times. All 3 times have been for a holiday brunch or…read moredinner. Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

During the last few Denver Restaurant Week events, I've tried to take the offerings as an…read moreopportunity to sample restaurants that I haven't tried, or otherwise may not try, and see if I can add to my list of favorites. I saw Former Saint on CBS News, and the menu and food looked incredible. In particular, that white chocolate blueberry cheesecake was something I know my hubby would look forward to all week! I loved the idea of local food and fresh homemade dishes. Sounds healthy, after a week of potential over-indulgence at other restaurant week venues. An additional bonus was that it is located right near the Denver Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center. This has become a dry spot for fine dining, with even the choices on Larimer Square growing more thin, giving rise to the inability to get reservations at favorites like Tamayo and Rioja prior to a show. I go to performances frequently with friends, and despite my rule to avoid hotel restaurants (Former Saint is in the Hyatt Regency), I thought I'd scope out Former Saint as a place to take my friends before the next symphony or Children's Chorale or ballet or broadway performance. I must say, the jury is still out. Former Saint was a Jekyll and Hyde of courses. Parking was not difficult (Yay, maybe I can park here prior to my shows, if I grab a bite first). There is a large garage, and the promise of validation from the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is typical hotel restaurant. Booths, tables, old and a bit drab. Except for the bar. Oh, my! The bar has this BEAUTIFUL copper creation above it, adding so much industrial character to the space! I was in awe looking at it, as it appeared to bring craft suds to the bartender's taps. I didn't ask how it worked, as it wasn't clear how the beer separation and dispensing worked, but it was a great centerpiece and spectacle for the place. I do wish I had investigated more about this architectural marvel, and will do so if I return. For restaurant week, my husband chose the Lobster Ravioli, Ribeye, and blueberry cheesecake (as predicted). I chose the Gotham salad, roasted chicken, and key lime tart. The lobster ravioli was nice; my husband was surprised that it was a toasted ravioli, but enjoyed it. My salad was full of beautiful greens, pears, walnuts, and feta. No scrimping here! The dressing was light and sweet/sour. The pears were a bit unripe and crisp, to the point that I was having trouble identifying exactly what fruit I was eating, but other than that, the salad was beautiful, healthy, and ample. My husband's ribeye steak was a nice cut, done to his liking. Slivered hash browns were underneath with a nice green chimichurri on top and some sliced Fresnos adding a welcome kick to the dish. My chicken was delightful. 1/2 chicken on the bone, seasoned nicely, and with a pan sauce. The breast was super-tender and delicious. It came atop cheesy grits, which was a yummy substitute for a mashed potato. I also was served side salad of curly lettuce and fennel. I probably didn't need more salad, but I was glad to have the healthy side on my plate. I will say that this salad was over-seasoned. The chicken and grits were great, but the salad too salty. My husband ordered a glass of J. Lohr Cabernet, which was a very nice find on the wine list, as far as a pairing for his ribeye. That said, the glass cost $30! A bit much, I might say. The real detractor, unfortunately, was dessert. The blueberry cheesecake looked nothing like the beautiful creamy white cheesecake accented throughout by purple blueberries, which I saw on the CBS News clip. My husband was served a very small solid purple slice, overcome with whipped cream dollops. This cheesecake had been uncovered in the fridge too long, with sort of a skin on it. My husband ate almost none of it. My key lime tart was similarly over-adorned with whipped cream, although I had some nice raspberries on top. The tart also seemed overexposed to the cool air, with the thickening of a skin on top. It was a very disappointing way to end a nice meal, and belied the healthy, homemade, craft theme. High points of this experience include the well-crafted and healthy entrees, the fact that we could see the convention center right outside our window (i.e., the location is perfect for pre-event or -theater), the $3.00 validated parking fee, and that beautiful copper tap system. Will the pros outweigh the cons? Will we be back with friends? Time will tell.

SPACE: Located in the highlands, this place has become the new "it" spot when it comes to breakfast. It's easy to spot on the corner, has decent street parking options and cute as pie inside. Bright colors splash the walls, which are lined with booths and tables alike. Community seating is in the middle, which the girls and I were happy to dine at. The color scheme here is so fun and welcoming, creating a happy and fun vibe. SERVICE: We were greeted inside by a friendly host who explained they were on a small wait. He had us laughing, excited about the various food and drink offerings and made us feel right at home. It was obvious he was outgoing and truly enjoyed his job, which made all the difference in service! SIPS: We all opted for various coffee and matcha drinks. I sipped on the iced cereal milk latte, while my sister sampled the fruity pebbles matcha and our cousin had the cortado. YUM! SUSTENANCE: Such fun and different food options - which had us craving both savory and sweet! We started with the sausage in a blanket and loaded hashbrown, which was so good! My sister opted for a benedict, cousin got the massive breakfast burrito, and I opted for the breakfast salad - which was perfectly seasoned, crunchy, salty with a runny egg on top. SERIOUSLY YUM! We also chose to try the buttermilk and blueberry pancakes, because why the heck not?! Everything came out in good time, was pretty in presentation and absolutely delicious! Portions are massive so come hungry! Here's to more breakfast dates at this new and fun spot!!
