Well Ive never written a review on Yelp, but after getting take out from here i decided it was time. I looked at all the reviews and saw there were no negative ratings. well i guess ill be the first. My boyfriend and i had never been here so decided to take advantage of the purpose of scoutmob (finding new joints around town). We went and got take out, we got home and wondered if the 50% off scout mob meant 50% less food. I had the green salad and had to add extra veggies and lettuce to my salad. He had a pasta dish that barely covered half of a medium sized plate. My salad was boring and small. We had to make a pizza when we got home, as well, with our tiny portioned dinner from DiFrancos. We were wondering if the portion was smaller because we had the 50% off scout mob app. We had expressed to the cashier that we had never been and new in town. On a good note, the staff was very nice and the food was ok. I do not eat meat but i noticed there were sausages for sale in the deli portion of the establishment and they were frozen. Not sure if its me, but i thought deli 's had fresh meats and such????? not frozen. Being from the east coast, maybe I grew up with a different view of the word "deli". I will not return again read more

I moved from Denver to Los Angeles, and constantly I find myself craving a Chx Parm sandwhich as well as the amazing meatballs! The quality of the food is superb, legit Italian home cookin! Super great place to pop into for a great lunch or dinner! I always stop in when I'm back in town visiting!!! I 100% recommend DiFranco's!!! read more

Average food at best. The deserts are disappointing. The pasta is pretty fresh but that's where the good ends.

Wow!! I am so impressed with this place. The food is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend difrancos. Lisa behind the counter is so kind and the owner Ryan is usually cooking up his family favorites. Try this place out! You will love it read more

After receiving a recommendation from a friend, we decided to try their Cheap Date Night special on Wednesdays. It was brilliant! Everything was good, some very decent vegetarian options and even the complimentary wine was great. We loved it so much we decided to go back, only to find that for a very small space, they take reservations. So many in fact, that we could not have dinner there (literally no place to sit). This was very disappointing! They had taken 3 reservations and the place was booked solid at 6pm, and no sign or the door or anything to indicate they were not in fact open for business. That's why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5. If it happens again, I am not sure we're going to keep trying. read more

This is a family owned restaurant with the freshest food! The freshly made pasta, along with the homemade red sauce is to die for! The dipping oil with bread was just as amazing, since the bread was freshly made, and soft with the right amount of crunch! The restaurant itself was clean that had a fast food atmosphere, but with dine in service! We will definitely be returning to this place next time! read more

My girlfriend and I were in a crunch for time and had an empty stomach, this quaint little Italian cafe hit the spot. Amazing staff, friendly environment, and great music! What else can I say I left with a smiling stomach and a smile on my face. Thank you Difranco's, I will be back! -Make sure to give the infamous Chicken Parmesan a shot! Hands down the best I have ever had! read more

My review lost a star due to the tiny portions. If you're looking to get full on pasta, this is not the place for you. It is a bit expensive as well. Other than that, the food is awesome. I had Pappardelle pasta with Vodka Sauce and it was nice and savory. Just wish they would give you a bit more for your buck. read more

Got a chance to go back to DiFranco's and tried their seasonal butternut squash ravioli. Amazing! Definitely worth a trip to try for yourself... read more

I ordered the spaghetti. It came with ONE meatball, the meatball was the only thing with flavor. The noodles were still hard and it was just under seasoned. Especially for the price. I understand GOOD Italian food isn't cheap. But again, thats not what I got front this overpriced spot. Never again. Sorry. read more

Simple, quick, and delicious Italian food. Loved the entrees and dessert. Would definitely go again for a quick Italian bite.

The fettuccini was amazing and try the sweet corn ravioli with braised beef on new summer menu. The burada is perfect for sharing.

The food here is fresh and very flavorful. I really enjoy the artisanal style of pastas and cheeses. The prices are on the high side, but I get it. High quality organic meat and produce is expensive. DiFranco's is quickly becoming my favorite lunch spot. The chief and staff are very friendly and personally ask how the food is and will gladly take time to answer any questions. read more

The aroma of fresh baked bread and savory cured meats warmly greet your senses the moment you step inside. A modern family style dining table is an interesting juxtaposition to the old-schol counter and kitchen that look pure Brooklyn to me, but it makes for a good vibe. The three girls working were all smiles and good cheer while I struggled to decide between the meatball or chicken parm sandwich. The chicken parm was a perfectly cooked cutlet with really fresh mozzarella, parsley, basil, and an extremely clean and flavorful homemade sauce, and that great smelling bread all combined for one of the most authentic Italian experiences I have had. read more

Had some take-out from here while working in the area and wow! Even with the gluten-free pasta, their Vodka sauce pasta with sausage was to die for. Deliciously creamy-tart sauce that just showed a lotta love went into it. Look forward to visiting for dinner sometime. read more

The gluten free pasta had the best tooth. I had it with the prosciutto sauce - wow! The Nutella gelato was very smooth.

Every menu item is made fresh! The sandwiches are the perfect size portion for one person. My favorite is the meatball. Italian lemon ricotta cookies are a must for dessert - 3 for $2. They have just a hint of lemon taste and are light. read more

Ordered the chicken parmigiana and pasta from Uber Eats. The chicken parm was over seasoned, greasy and difficult to enjoy. There was about a 1/4 cup of lemon juice sprayed all over it (never had chicken parm with lemon juice) and the attempt at sprucing up a classic, simple Italian dish just ended up ruining it. The pasta had a strong lemon and grease flavor as well, which I also found inedible. read more

Freshly made pasta, seasonal dishes. Homemade sauces. Limited menu that rocks! Small venue, order at the counter. Great solid locally made food. read more

Having sampled the cookies a co-worker brought back from DiFranco's (which were great), I headed there a few after later to sample the lunch menu. I'd love to tell you how the sandwich tasted but after witnessing the staff handle cold cuts, bread, and meat without using gloves, I threw the sandwich out as soon as I returned to my office. Who does not use GLOVES in the food service industry, any more? It certainly did not help to see the line employee return from the rest room and jump right in to assembling my cold cut sandwich order. I assume he washed his hands but what about the umpteen other customers who touched that same doorknob that didn't? Seriously, if these things bother you (and they CERTAINLY bother me) don't bother wasting your time and money by going to this establishment. read more

Went here the other night for the date night special (2 salads, 2 entrees, 2 cannoli, and a bottle of wine for $45), wonderful. I ordered the penne with vodka sauce and an Italian sausage. The penne and vodka was above par and I would recommend, but the Italian sausage was what incredible, made the dish. Would recommend, next time I go back I have to try the squash ravioli with braised port shoulder. Well done DiFranco's! read more

We came here because we have a Denver Passport and we were looking for just drinks and then to move onto the next place, the food looked so good though that we had to stay for it! We ordered the antipasto plate, dipping sauce and the spring panini, all of which were absolutely delicious and beyond our hopes of what we could get from this small, hidden gem. I will keep coming back again, and again! read more

We were looking forward to having a dinner at a local place that supported local sourcing. We drove 40 minutes across town, walked in and were informed that there was a last minute art class scheduled and they would do take out only. I informed the guy at the counter that we drove across town to get there, and he offered menus. Wasn't thrilled at the prospect of having my dinner sitting in an underground parking garage. Very frustrating, we visited the website before hand, would have been nice if they would have posted their art class that was going to take up the entire restaurant on their web page. Wasted a lot of gas getting there for nothing. On the way out we were offered business cards, which would be useless. I don't plan on driving across town again in the off chance I have to eat in a garage again..no matter how much I support the idea of what they are trying to do. I'm sure the food is great, and it looked like a neat place. It would be nice to be taken care of as a customer (especially one that networks a lot in the slow food/localvore arena). read more

I am super disappointed. After reading all the Fantastic reviews I was excited for a delicious Italian meal. All I can think is that people writing quality reviews on this Italian food must like Chef Boyardee. I thought it was a sure thing. I'm on my diet and picked this as a cheat meal. That makes the disappointment so much deeper. I'm not one for writing negative reviews so I'm going to try and stick to the facts as I taste it . I ordered the shells, a meatball, and a chicken parm. The shells were way over salted which ruined the otherwise decent pesto flavor the noodles were cooked a nice al dente. I'm an extra salt guy and I literally couldn't eat it because it's too salty. The meatball is very dry and also too salty. The chicken parm is okay. The chicken was cooked proper the breading has a decent flavor it's the sauce on it. It doesn't seem to have any kind of Italian herbs or seasoning to it it tastes bland to me kind of like a sweet tomato ketchup.. I've had better Italian meals at Fazoli's. Next time I'll play it safe and head to The Saucy Noodle read more

DiFranco's is a great italian restaurant in the Beauvallon on Lincoln, it's often a place my coworkers and I frequent as it's close to the office and consistently has solid food and a great atmosphere. One critique, the menu does tend to be a little on the spendy side for Denver, however, the quality is definitely in line with the higher price point. I typically get the Chicken Pesto sandwich, which is served with a small side salad, it consistently hits the mark and gives me a great reason to come back. I can solidly say I give DiFranco's my recommendation and it's worth your time. read more

Amazing food, and great wine. The service is amazing, they really make you feel like your part of the neighborhood.

unbelievable. what a find! local, organic ingredients, family owned, excellent service and incredible food!! the price is right and great Italian food!? in Denver!? we will be back!!! *added bonus for music junkies, no Miley Cyrus or Hootie and the Blowfish here. jammin to Cut Copy and Miike Snow while you eat is most enjoyable :) read more

The food is just so amazing, everything is so fresh and made with love. I would marry the man who just cooked my meal there. Heaven in my mouth. A must dine restaurant, their happy hour looks great too!!! A hidden gem in the Bauvallon. read more

This is the best Italian I've ever had. Fresh pasta and Homemade sauces from someone's Italian grandmother all season to perfection! We all tried 3 very different dishes and all were so different and so flavorful! They also had so many desserts in their dessert case so we got one of every kind to go! All were so authentic and wonderful! We can't wait to come back again and will probably stop here every time we come to Denver from the Mountains! Thank you guys for having such a great food and friendly staff! read more

DiFranco's is great for eating in or take out! We've lived in the neighborhood for awhile and DiFranco's is always our go-to when we want to have delicious food without the pomp and circumstance. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful! We love their eggplant parm sandwich and any of their pasta dishes since most of their pastas are made in house! Plus, its a good option for anyone who is gluten-free but doesn't want to sacrifice on flavor. read more

This place was great. It feels like a diner when you walk inside, but the ambience is actually very nice once you get situated, you notice they have put some thought into the decor. The food was also very good. We had the antipasti, meatball, and the eggplant parm sub sandwich. It was all very good, especially the meatball. They had a few beers to choose from, the selection was not great. But the afternoon ale I had was good and they had stella on draft if I wanted it. They could have offered another item with the antipasti. maybe olives or a marmalade. But it really was one of the better antipastis I have had, and the service was really good. read more

Glad that our Yelp search brought us here - had a delightful lunch, surprised by the high quality and intensity of flavor - will definitely make it back read more

The bread was the best bread I have had in awhile. Burrata was amazing!! I got the spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti was good but the meatballs were really tough and was a little disappointing. read more

Just went there for lunch. It's a lovely little place near downtown. They make their own pasta, pizza, sauces, cured meats, and pretty much everything else. They use ingredients from local farms. The price is reasonable. You can have a really nice, delicious meal for under $10. I had the spicy fettuccine and my bf had the portabella mushroom, arugula sandwich. Both of them taste fresh and flavorful. We ordered some desserts to go. I had the ricotta cookies which are delicious, my bf had the strawberry gelato, which is just ok. Personally I think it's just their homemade ice cream. It didn't get stir often enough during the freezing process, so when it came out it's really hard. It doesn't have the texture of a true Italian gelato. Even though it has large amounts of real strawberries in it, it still doesn't make up. But besides that I really think they have incredible food. Will come back. read more

Great food and staff! Went this past weekend to celebrate my birthday. I got the carbonara and my husband got the fettuccine. The pasta, garlic bread, and canoli (filled to order, as it should be) were fantastic! The staff was super friendly and chatted with us as we were leaving. One guy (presumably the owner), was telling us about the seasonal menu and got super excited talking about the food, you could tell he was passionate. He found out we came in for my birthday and gave a free walnut cookie to go. Two sort of downsides (hence the 4 stars): the place is pretty small, order at a counter then they bring to table, but people kept opening the door so it got very cold at times. Not the greatest of atmospheres. The other is that they only have I think 1 red and 1 white house wine and that was it for choices. That being said, for fantastic food and great service, it was a solid choice! read more

Fresh pasta! So delicious. Reminded me of Rome. :D

Very cute lunch spot. I loved the salad with Naked chicken. It was delicious. The tea was also really good and freshly brewed. This is close to where I work so I would definitely get back. read more

Great place - you can't beat the prices - split a chicken sandwich with my lady - bread was fresh veggies were too. Rest rooms wee very clean- service was good as well 5 star all the way. read more

This place is awesome!! It's small and casual with a delicious menu. My friend and I just happen to be there on their $50 date night where you get 2 salads, 2 entrees, dessert, and a bottle of wine. How can you say no to that? I had the sweet pea ravioli and my friend had the penne with a side of meatballs. The sauces on these dishes were super tasty and authentic in my opinion. I love the casualness of this place. You order up at the front where you can see the kitchen and a display of their desserts and other entree items, and then get served at your table. We got there right at six and the place was filled up by 7 with lots of conversation and laughter. Definitely not ruling this place out the next time I have friends in town. read more

Homemade pasta makes such a HUGE difference! Everything was very fresh and delicious. Very reminiscent of dishes I ate IN Italy. They don't drown their pasta in sauce which is totally an American thing and the wrong way! :) the garlic bread and bread in general was heavenly. Lemon ricotta cookies amazing. I Really enjoyed every bite and can't wait to go back! read more
