We only got salads here, like idiots, but they were awesome. Almost like not eating a salad. I only got to eat like six bites of the beet salad before my boyfriend dropped it on the floor and I don't talk to him to the next six hours, this is not an exaggeration, it was so good and I was so hungry. His Caesar salad was also apparently baller, although I could barely hear him over the sound of my own wailing. Probably the non salad things are good too! Definitely eat here! read more

Great, great place to eat... the pasta dishes are simply amazing.

DiFranco's is a great little restaurant with very fresh food and a good meatball sandwich. The caesar salad was one of the best that I have ever had! Portions are fresh, but small. The meatball sandwich only had two meatballs and it was $9. The caesar salad was also very small. Even with portions being small, the food was so good I have to give it 5 stars. read more

A small, but functional Italian eatery. A great place to have lunch in the middle of a workday.

I would give it 4 stars for lunch and 3 stars for dinner. The food is good. It is cooked to order, so it is not fast food. I do not think that it is suited for a sit down dinner. It is suited for an eat and go situation. Prices are fair. Service is lax. You order at the counter and then sit down. A person then brings you your food. If the order is long or complicated, the line goes out the door. Seating is mostly at a long table with others. There are very few single tables. Decor is nice but sparse. read more

Absolutely could come here twice a week. The fresh pasta was to die for! The lemon cookies and rainbow cookies were fantastic!! Wait was a little long and seating a little tight but worth it all!! read more

All around such a wonderful experience. From the atmosphere to the staff and most importantly the food!! The food was so fresh, well prepared and served so quickly! The staff that was working was incredible, they were so friendly, inviting and you could tell they genuinely wanted you to have the best experience and appreciated you being there. I had the traditional spaghetti and I have been craving it since we left. The proportions were just right and had very reasonable prices. read more

Delicious food, EXCELLENT customer service and will definitely come back. The meatball subs are $9 but oh so yummy. Plus, I didn't feel overstuffed afterwards which was nice. Check this place out, you won't regret it! read more

Meh. Based on the "best Italian in Denver" title, I had much higher hopes. The food was good and basic, but that's about it. A good tipoff that the food was not going to be mindblowing was when the cashier turned around after taking our money and heated up the food (small operation I guess?) I might be back if I'm in the neighborhood, but wouldn't make a special trip to return. read more

Pretty impressive food in a fast casual setting. I got the fettuccine Alfredo and a side of chicken parm, both were fantastic. Pasta portion looked small but the flavor and texture were both so good that I was satisfied without feeling stuffed. The chicken was perfection, crispy, not greasy, with a hint of lemon. Served Parmesan style with fresh mozz and marinara, what a bargain for like 6 bux I think? This is one of those places that, if I had the money, I would invest in their future. Glad they are in my 'hood and I will be back again and again. read more

Excellent! The burrata was perfect!! The meatballs were great and so was the homemade pasta. We will definitely be back! Very good but also casual and easy. read more

The sandwiches are decent. The tomato sauce is a little sweet, but very good. The deserts are really yummy though.

Pretty darn good ravioli and they were really good customer service. Small quaint Italian joint.

Maybe I had an off experience but it wasn't good. I ordered three orders of spaghetti for take out. When I got home I was surprised there was only 1 meatball for the $14 meal. That was strike 1. Strike 2 was that the meatball was very pink, almost raw in the middle. But, perhaps the most disappointing was that the spaghetti noodles themselves were extremely gummy. The eggplant Parmesan was rubbery and the take out was super pricey for food that wasn't eh, but was actually bad. read more

Great food and the people there always seem really nice. The pasta is fresh and I appreciate the seasonal menu!

Awesome food. Order at the counter for sit-down or order takeout via their website/phone. The seasonal menu is amazing. Cannot get enough of the carbonara (winter menu). read more

I hate to write this review since the food here is good. I come in here about once a week before one of my committee meetings, and last night I was here with my family. We bought the travelzoo deal that they offered awhile back since I eat here all the time anyway. The travelzoo deal was for two entrees (up to $12) and two drinks (up to $9). My husband and I each ordered an entree and a beer that fit the description but were served only one beer to share. Yes, it was a bomber and bigger than I had expected, but it fit the price range of the deal so I thought we would be getting two. When we asked our server about it, she was confused too and went to get the manager. He came over, and was weird and defensive right off the bat. He said that when they signed up for the travelzoo deal, they didn't serve bombers, and so they weren't included - which we were never told -so they just served us one beer. I understand that he didn't plan for this, but he should have let us know instead of serving us half of what we ordered. We went back and forth until it was clear that he had just decided that he could use his own discretion for what the travelzoo deal would be worth without giving any warning to the customers, and he ended up saying "well I'll just give you a different beer, if that's what you want." But that's not what we wanted. We wanted the beer that we ordered, since it fit the price range. The travelzoo language says this "Start by selecting two salads, sandwiches or pasta dishes, like the popular pappardelle with Bolognese ragu or the cavatelli topped with house-ground Italian sausage; all pastas are made in-house daily (up to $12 each). Pair those with a drink each from the wine and beer list (up to $9 each);". Anyway - if you bought that deal, beware. I would check to find out which beers are "two -portions" according to the manager. read more

Good salads. Love the meatball sandwich. Wine pours are stingy when compared to the price. Desserts are okay, not great.

Staff was super friendly, food was delicious and I will be back next time I am in town.

Wow some of the best Italian food in Denver. Also they sell fresh pasta, pasta sauce, meatballs and sausages to go. Give it a try!

This place never seems to disappoint. High quality Italian food. Prices are slightly higher than I'd like but they are still very reasonable for the quality. So if your looking for something fancier than fast food and are craving some really terrific Italian then stop by. read more

The best Italian I've had so far in Denver. Got the Duck and Egg Yolk Raviolis (they only have this on menu at certain times) it was amaze balls! The staff were very kind and loved to chat with me and my date. Super friendly place. read more

I'm extremely fortunate to only live a block away from this place. Their food is great, especially the penne vodka. I eat here all of the time and the food is always consistent and of course delicious! read more

All I have to say is O.M.G. Looking for fresh, delicious, authentic Italian food? Look no further! The menu is relatively limited, but everything on it is superb. The lemon ricotta cookies are a must try as well (3 for $2!). Every time I have been in there, it is the same young couple (plus one or two others) who greet you with a smile and a hello and obviously strive for very satisfied customers. Also, they have frequent specials and "perks" so be sure to pick up a Belly card and ask about the daily specials! read more

I love this place! I'm hesitant to give it such a good review only because it's a tiny restaurant and I'm worried that it'll become even harder to get a seat at their 1 long table (honestly, a bit of an introverts nightmare). The food is fresh, homemade, and just plain good. The food isn't complex and the plates aren't huge but every time we've eaten there we rave about how good it is. Go check it out, just don't take my spot at the table. read more

I was a bit apprehensive when we first got there...community tables, and was already filling up. Not a great fan of community tables...but we had a front row seat to what everyone was getting. The salad arrived and was fresh and so delicious. Next the entrees..oh man, what a wonderfully delightful surprise. Sooooo fresh and simple, but unbelievably flavorful!!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant. The seating and ambiance were not great....but who cares when the food is this great. 5 Stars for the food read more

Great lunch spot! I had the Italian sausage sandwich and it was basically perfect. Great bread, lots of spicy sausage, thick mozzarella slices, arugula and this really good marinara sauce. The staff was friendly and got our food out fast. I'll be back! read more

I can't say enough positive things about this lovely restaurant.....go, eat be happy! Everything is good, bottom line.

I haven't had Italian like this since Old Sicilian relatives cooked from scratch years and years ago. Perfect cannoli-closest I've had to New Orleans Angelo Brocato's from childhood. My 1st dinner for my 1st Colorado visit-absolute home run for easy, casual, quality, low key. So impressed! read more

The reviews bought us in to give this place a try. The great food helped us stay and will bring us back again and again and again. Farm to table fresh. We had a watercrest salad with radishes, pear, goat cheese and a homemade mint vinaigrette....wifee had a kale salad mixed w/arugala,quinoa, roasted beets, turnips, parsnips and tossed in a balsamic dressing over a chicken breast. The homemade Italian soda is our new summer beverage-I could have consumed every drop in the restaurant! Put this place on your list of places to eat here in Denver. read more

This place is probably the coolest little Italian restaurant I've ever been to. The date night deal is perfect for a couple looking to spend a fun night out without paying too much. Their menu is small but the choices are as good if not better than places where you can pay twice as much. The cannoli's are delicious, I'm not a chocolate lover but I do love pistachio, and that was off the charts! I couldn't walk out of this place without purchasing some sauce and sausages to have at home. read more

Chicken parm was fabulous. The summer menu just isn't for me I guess: I ate 4 bites of my fettuccini with cilantro whatever the dish was and it was over for me.. Couldn't finish it. But with all do respect to difrancos, the table across from us got my dish and loved it. Being from the south where there is legit Mexican food, I've had my fair share of green salsa and the dish tasted like green salsa on fettuccini noodles. Just my take on it. I'll be back to try a different dish and get the chicken parm :) still hat off to difrancos for everything else that was good! read more

Difranco’s - Spaghetti with fettucini good!! - Italian Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Without a doubt, the best Italian meal I've had in Denver. Get the sweet corn ravioli before summer is over, and save room for the house-made nutella gelato. The burata with an almond based spicy pesto is also not to be missed. You won't be disappointed! The service is also outstanding, especially for a walk up and order style restaurant. Extra points for excellent gluten free bread and pasta! read more

The chicken parm sandwiches were not on point. The chicken was overdone and near burnt.

Wow. AHHH-mazing. Legit Italian. Seasonal. Great portion size. Some of the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy - feels like you're there. We'll DEFINITELY be back over and over again. We had the spaghetti and meatballs (best I have EVER had) and corn ravioli with pablano pepper sauce. Ridiculously good. read more

Great food and wonderful service. I had the chicken parm sandwich, but I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything there.

I love DiFrancos....stumbled upon it when I was looking for a italian deli for my father's birthday. The reviews on yelp were awesome and they have not disappointed me. Not only is the food great, but so is the service. I will continue to come here and will always bring friends to share in my sweet find. :) I would highly recommend trying the penne with vodka sauce. Amazing!!! read more

The atmosphere was not what i was expecting. You have to order at the counter which is crazy when it is busy. You are also seated at a long counter that is unpleasant. The food is pretty good, but the portions are on the small side. I would recommend going for lunch instead of dinner. read more

We had the Wednesday Date Night Special, which is 2 salads, 2 entrées a bottle of wine and dessert. We had the stuffed shells and sweet potato gnocchi. Both entrées were wonderful and the cannoli for dessert was terrific. read more

Fabulous hand crafted Italian food for a great price. I had the eggplant and spaghetti. The handmade spaghetti was amazing and the eggplant was cooked to perfection. No overly breaded oil pile here, only savory, tender, tasty eggplant. I don't know if I've ever had a reason to say so many good things about an eggplant before! Yum! The sauces were smooth yet both robust and hearty as far as flavor is concerned ;-) read more
