A very generous 3-stars for my delivery order. Ordered Dickey's BBQ on Uber Eats and ended up pretty disappointed to say the least. The delivery driver was great so there were no issues there but once we started eating our food it was a little different... * Brisket: This was dry. Dry to the point not even the barbecue sauce could help it. And the barbecue sauce wasn't very good either. I ended up using Sweet Baby Ray's. * Burnt ends: Dickey's does burnt ends different than most bbq spots. It's literally burnt, dry, overly chewy ends of the already-cooked brisket. Most places sauce them up into an almost addictive candy-like meat, not here. * Polish Kielbasa Sausage: Nothing exciting here. But potentially the best meat option ordered. The sides are the only reason I my overall rating made it to 3 stars. * BBQ beans: Decent, not overly sweet. * Mac & Cheese: This was tasty, better than others I've had for sure. It was cheesy and the macaroni itself wasn't overcooked like everything else. * Cornbread: The flavor was there but it was a little dry. * Creamed Spinach: My least favorite side (though it's listed a a local favorite). In my opinion, it was more of a dip than creamed spinach -- I actually ended up eating it with chips and enjoyed it more lol. *Baked Potato Casserole: Nothing special, it had a little more cream in it than I was expecting. Now, the part that I was probably most annoyed about, we ordered unsweetened tea for both of the kids meals and got sweet teas. For most people it may not have been as big of a deal but considering we are really trying to avoid sugary drinks, I was quite disappointed. I'm a little hesitant to give a good review only because the business is and has been completely closed when I've dipped thru, and is listed on Google Maps as Temporarily Closed. I'd be shocked of they open again. But that said, it's really not a bad little spot, complete with drive thru. It's quick and tasty, like all Dickie's franchise locales - and very new and clean. My only complaint is a corporate one - the serving sizes are miniscule - particularly for to go orders, when they manage to jam entire sides into essentially large condiment containers. I do hope this hasn't been the last dance; if it is, a salute to a decent - if not terribly profitable - tenure in the west end of BozAngeles. read more

Every time we think about giving this place a second chance, we regret it. Ordered a chopped beef sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich tonight. Got them home and the so called chopped beef was a bunch of stringy meat that had no resemblance to beef. In fact, I'm not sure what it was except tasteless and a total waste of money. Have to wonder if the people working there are so frigging stupid that don't know how to fix a chopped beef sandwich, don't care, etc. so once again we regret getting food from this dump and will not do it again. by the way the for whatever this crap was has no bbq flavor at all. I should have figured from the bad reviews and the complete lack of other guests on a Friday night, but this place was... not so great. I got a two meat plate with pulled pork (which was mushy) and brisket (which was dry.) The Caesar salad was standard, and my boyfriend described the bread as "a slightly fluffy, super dry cracker." The green beans though were awesome, I did really enjoy those. I tried all three sauces, and the original was more spicy than the spicy? The sweet was honestly more of an original in my opinion. The staff was really nice and friendly and the restaurant was comfortable and clean, but my overall impression was that the food was subpar and the prices were wayyyy too high. Welp, I loved dickeys before they closed. New owners are open but the food is no where beer as good as before. My brisket was tasteless. My Husbands chicken was equally tasteless and fatty. The only side worth going back for is the okra. Portions are def WAY smaller than before. Sadly, I was excited for this place to reopen but it's not worth going back to. It's just to bad. I have been here two times now, that being said the food is pretty good and it was enough to bring me back for a second time. I will not be back for a third time unfortunately, I was excited to have a barbecue option on the west side of town but I will just go back to famous Dave's and bar three BBQ again. I am 41 years old and in all that time I have never had such poor customer service. Online Dickheads is listed as being opened until 9pm and they do carryout. I called at 7pm and was told they don't do carry out and to come through drive thru, "We'll be quick", I'm told. I pulled up at 7:30 and the first question I was asked was "Is this a carryout?". I told them no of course and that I was told to come through the drive thru and he says sorry we're closed. Nothing fancy about the BBQ sauce and they put it on side so be sure to ask for it cause if you say no extra sauce you get none. Friendly good service but place was dead on a Saturday afternoon. We waited in line for 20 minutes - and they didn't even get done with one order. Behind us the line grew to out the door. No sides were posted where you could see them and start choosing. Small seating area and ALL was full. A few chairs outside - in direct sunlight. After a 20+ minute wait - the girl behind the counter screamed bloody murder and ran to the back. She cut her finger with a knife - all over the meat. They did throw out the meat - but already very slow service completely stopped. Knowing we were already seatless - we left. Ordered for pickup online. Was forced to wait in the drive thru for 20 minutes to be able to pick up my by then cold food. Everything is cold, corn muffins feel like they came from the fridge and are soggy. They forgot to give us our mac and cheese side. If the line at the drive thru (only possible way to talk to someone or pick up food) wasn't so long I'd be going back to complain and get my mac. Went for the first time tonight. Had never been to a Dickey's before. Was very pleased with everything. You will pay more if you get a plate or ribs- but none of the prices were higher than I expect to pay for BBQ. BBQ and ribs are always more. Waffle fries were awesome. Drink price was high. Tv monitors with menus and paper menus seemed easy to navigate. Staff answered all our newbie questions without issue. Yes there are cheaper places to eat but it is comparable. I will come back. The Bozeman MT Dickey's staff went out of their way for us the other night when we used the drive through to order a family dinner and an item was left out of our bag. We went back to pick it up and they asked if there was another meat we would like to try- (we tried the smoked turkey) which we never get because we can't get away from our favorites pulled pork and brisket - the staff also threw in extra rolls and a couple of cookies, which made the 8 year old in our car super happy! The fact that the staff even cared that they had made a mistake in the first place made us instantly want to come back to support this store. Today I was starving and I was in the area so I thought I'd give them another shot. Even worse this time. The texture of my ribs was like someone soaked them in salt water for 48 hours. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We had brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. The ribs had a great flavor and the meat fell off the bone. Loved the spicy bbq sauce. Mac and cheese was good. Jalapeño beans were great and my husband loved the waffle fries. The counter set up is a little weird but not the end of the world. If it's your first time make sure you check out the other half of the menu around the corner by the register. A little pricey but I guess you would expect that for good bbq that takes time to make.
