Always love Dickey's. This restaurant was empty 4:00 except for a robust drive through. It is off the beaten path but the food and service was outstanding. read more

Glad to see a franchise still open on our way to the airport. Delicious, get the chopped Brisket sandwich. edited to clean up "chopped brisket" autocorrect. read more

A very generous 3-stars for my delivery order. Ordered Dickey's BBQ on Uber Eats and ended up pretty disappointed to say the least. The delivery driver was great so there were no issues there but once we started eating our food it was a little different... * Brisket: This was dry. Dry to the point not even the barbecue sauce could help it. And the barbecue sauce wasn't very good either. I ended up using Sweet Baby Ray's. * Burnt ends: Dickey's does burnt ends different than most bbq spots. It's literally burnt, dry, overly chewy ends of the already-cooked brisket. Most places sauce them up into an almost addictive candy-like meat, not here. * Polish Kielbasa Sausage: Nothing exciting here. But potentially the best meat option ordered. The sides are the only reason I my overall rating made it to 3 stars. * BBQ beans: Decent, not overly sweet. * Mac & Cheese: This was tasty, better than others I've had for sure. It was cheesy and the macaroni itself wasn't overcooked like everything else. * Cornbread: The flavor was there but it was a little dry. * Creamed Spinach: My least favorite side (though it's listed a a local favorite). In my opinion, it was more of a dip than creamed spinach -- I actually ended up eating it with chips and enjoyed it more lol. *Baked Potato Casserole: Nothing special, it had a little more cream in it than I was expecting. Now, the part that I was probably most annoyed about, we ordered unsweetened tea for both of the kids meals and got sweet teas. For most people it may not have been as big of a deal but considering we are really trying to avoid sugary drinks, I was quite disappointed. I can't say I would recommend Dickey's BBQ, there are much better options around town. read more

The brisket was cut on the grain which you should NEVER do, plus the brisket was dry! On a scale of 1 to 10 I give the meal a ONE. Two girls were working, they needed morre help. Sorry but I WILL NOT be back. read more

the worst bbq i've ever had dry and tasteless !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a little hesitant to give a good review only because the business is and has been completely closed when I've dipped thru, and is listed on Google Maps as Temporarily Closed. I'd be shocked of they open again. But that said, it's really not a bad little spot, complete with drive thru. It's quick and tasty, like all Dickie's franchise locales - and very new and clean. My only complaint is a corporate one - the serving sizes are miniscule - particularly for to go orders, when they manage to jam entire sides into essentially large condiment containers. I do hope this hasn't been the last dance; if it is, a salute to a decent - if not terribly profitable - tenure in the west end of BozAngeles. read more

Every time we think about giving this place a second chance, we regret it. Ordered a chopped beef sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich tonight. Got them home and the so called chopped beef was a bunch of stringy meat that had no resemblance to beef. In fact, I'm not sure what it was except tasteless and a total waste of money. Have to wonder if the people working there are so frigging stupid that don't know how to fix a chopped beef sandwich, don't care, etc. so once again we regret getting food from this dump and will not do it again. by the way the for whatever this crap was has no bbq flavor at all. Wish I could give a minus 5 rating and even that would be stretching it read more

I should have figured from the bad reviews and the complete lack of other guests on a Friday night, but this place was... not so great. I got a two meat plate with pulled pork (which was mushy) and brisket (which was dry.) The Caesar salad was standard, and my boyfriend described the bread as "a slightly fluffy, super dry cracker." The green beans though were awesome, I did really enjoy those. I tried all three sauces, and the original was more spicy than the spicy? The sweet was honestly more of an original in my opinion. The staff was really nice and friendly and the restaurant was comfortable and clean, but my overall impression was that the food was subpar and the prices were wayyyy too high. For a few dollars more (if that) I could go to famous Dave's and get bbq that was twice as good. read more

I'd like to say that they were still working out the kinks but it's the value of food for the money that's the real issue.... Service was decent .... If there's any sort of line you'll be fighting back through it w your food after you pay..... -Rolls bone dry -micro portion of Cold chicken (you are served your meat FIRST so if there's eight people in front of you in line your meat gets colder, and colder, and colder as you move to get sides and pay. -White raw ish waffle fries -The mac and cheese is the strait crapola velveeta ya see here and there.... Fountain Drink $2.75! Grand total $14!!! Brutal...... Here's their motto... "Dicky's is the BEST. Simply the best! Seriously, it is the best." .....with Velveeta? Cold mico portions? Not even close..... ......one and done. read more

The food was pretty good. I will say it definitely had a kind of fast food vibe to it but not horrible. The service was great, the staff were super nice. I'd come again but if I was looking for like real bbq I'd try somewhere else read more

they provide great BBQ for a great price, and they also cater your events! i think that for the price the food is very good!

I was mailed a coupon as a new resident introductory offer. The food was good and the service was quick. I will return in the future!

great service and yummy food! I spoke to the general manager and she was awesome, really doing a wonderful job

Dry, dry, dry.... when you spend $13 for dry meat you can guess this will be my last time here. Plus their sauce that is supposed to be spicy doesn't register and the sweet BBQ sauce is maple syrup flavored. read more

Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Dry brisket - American Near Me - Bozeman, Montana

I have eaten at several Dickey's across the country and this was the worst. The ribs were small and overcooked (Mostly charred); brisket was mostly fat; and ordered turkey but ended up with pulled pork. Portions small and expensive. Planned a party of 10 for Sunday as friends heard me brag about this franchise. But am reconsidering after this disappointment read more

Don't reccomended this business for food bad owners bad food and cold and uncooked meats. They will steal your money and don't do any catering with them. read more

Good food at a decent price. Wish they had a lunch combo option with smaller sides, or maybe I just missed it on the menu. The restaurant is closed for dine-in. Drive thru only for now because read more

Welp, I loved dickeys before they closed. New owners are open but the food is no where beer as good as before. My brisket was tasteless. My Husbands chicken was equally tasteless and fatty. The only side worth going back for is the okra. Portions are def WAY smaller than before. Sadly, I was excited for this place to reopen but it's not worth going back to. I also was t offered sauces and didn't get any. They cha fed the bread from the dense biscuits they used to offer, to Texas toast that's only toasted on one side. Shortcuts. read more

It's just to bad. I have been here two times now, that being said the food is pretty good and it was enough to bring me back for a second time. I will not be back for a third time unfortunately, I was excited to have a barbecue option on the west side of town but I will just go back to famous Dave's and bar three BBQ again. The reason why I say that is the first time I had stopped in there was a younger guy behind the counter and he had a slight attitude, so I thought I would give it another shot unfortunately this time it was worse! ( instead of simply asking, would you like that sliced or chopped, he talked over the top of me 3 times ). There was a lady working behind the counter and she could see My frustration and she tried to intervene, she did a fine job but not enough to undo the actions/temperament of this employee. It's bbq bro just calm down and enjoy! read more

I am 41 years old and in all that time I have never had such poor customer service. Online Dickheads is listed as being opened until 9pm and they do carryout. I called at 7pm and was told they don't do carry out and to come through drive thru, "We'll be quick", I'm told. I pulled up at 7:30 and the first question I was asked was "Is this a carryout?". I told them no of course and that I was told to come through the drive thru and he says sorry we're closed. If you knew you were going to close earlier than is even listed on your drive thru why the hell did you tell me to come down? Final thoughts, Dickey's is appropriately named because if you go there you're gonna get dicked around. read more

Online the family feast says $37 somehow we were charged $46. Meat was fairly dry but decent portions but very small sides. Nothing fancy about the BBQ sauce and they put it on side so be sure to ask for it cause if you say no extra sauce you get none. Friendly good service but place was dead on a Saturday afternoon. I might eat there again hopefully they work out the kinks as they are fairly new place. read more

Ordered for pickup online. Was forced to wait in the drive thru for 20 minutes to be able to pick up my by then cold food. Everything is cold, corn muffins feel like they came from the fridge and are soggy. They forgot to give us our mac and cheese side. If the line at the drive thru (only possible way to talk to someone or pick up food) wasn't so long I'd be going back to complain and get my mac. Instead we are just never going to this poorly run establishment ever again. read more

We waited in line for 20 minutes - and they didn't even get done with one order. Behind us the line grew to out the door. No sides were posted where you could see them and start choosing. Small seating area and ALL was full. A few chairs outside - in direct sunlight. After a 20+ minute wait - the girl behind the counter screamed bloody murder and ran to the back. She cut her finger with a knife - all over the meat. They did throw out the meat - but already very slow service completely stopped. Knowing we were already seatless - we left. We have been to Dicky's in other states. They are quick, efficient, and large portions. The meat servings coming out of here were TINY. I understand Bozeman has set a new ( terrible) standard of high price for little food - but that really needs to change. read more

One and done for me. Lived in NC for thirty years; real close to multiple BBQ diners serving Lexington style Cue. This franchise doesn't come close to true Cue flavor. Not a "do over"! read more

Went for the first time tonight. Had never been to a Dickey's before. Was very pleased with everything. You will pay more if you get a plate or ribs- but none of the prices were higher than I expect to pay for BBQ. BBQ and ribs are always more. Waffle fries were awesome. Drink price was high. Tv monitors with menus and paper menus seemed easy to navigate. Staff answered all our newbie questions without issue. Yes there are cheaper places to eat but it is comparable. I will come back. Especially for anything that has that brisket in it! read more

The Bozeman MT Dickey's staff went out of their way for us the other night when we used the drive through to order a family dinner and an item was left out of our bag. We went back to pick it up and they asked if there was another meat we would like to try- (we tried the smoked turkey) which we never get because we can't get away from our favorites pulled pork and brisket - the staff also threw in extra rolls and a couple of cookies, which made the 8 year old in our car super happy! The fact that the staff even cared that they had made a mistake in the first place made us instantly want to come back to support this store. Thanks again to the friendly staff for what turned an ordinary drive thru experience into a really good one! read more

Poor service and the women at the window was rude to me, she didn't offer me sauces so I had no idea my sandwich would come without the sauce. My brisket was basically all fat and she put some sort of liquid sauce in my bag that spilt everywhere. Will not be coming back. read more

Ok I e tried to not rate them to give them time to get things worked out but I'm over it. The food is good half the time but the other half its super dry. The drive thru is closed about half the time I go their and even when it is open they dont know you are at the speaker waiting to order. They say they close the drive they are busy but that means if they have 2 people in the dining room. This place has potential but right now it's a complete wreck. read more

I wish that I didn't have to post this but I was sooooo disappointed with the food. I ordered 4 Tocos with pickles and onions. The menu said pickles and onions available upon request. I have tried this place 3 times, and each time I go thru the drive-thru so I can take my dinner home, I live 40 miles from here and each time I get home I am missing part of my order...1lb of meat the 1st time, 2 sides the second time, and 8 rolls this last time. I have left several VM's with no success of getting a call back. I have mentioned this to the boy at the drive-thru each time, and they tell me they don't know how to check messages, but they promise my order will be correct this time. I will not go here again, I pay for food I do not receive. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. read more

I hate saying anything bad, but people should know about this place . The review about food value is correct, and even though we had no line-we were actually waiting for them to plate the food-it was cold. I ordered a 3 meat combo and everything including the inedible beans were cold. My wife's was cold, my son's meal was cold. I'll bet that even if I ran into another one of these restaurants somewhere else, that I would try it again. read more

First time I ate here I was not satisfied at all. Ribs were very flabby and fatty and small. Very low quality for the price. Today I was starving and I was in the area so I thought I'd give them another shot. Even worse this time. The texture of my ribs was like someone soaked them in salt water for 48 hours. Very soggy and "fell right off the bone" but not in a good way at all. Very mushy. If you're in the mood to pay moderate prices for fast bbq go to Bar 3. Or hell, even the premade ribs from Costco blow doors on this place. I ended up feeding most of it to my dog, but now that the little bit I did eat hit my stomach I am starting to feel very sick. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

So this was a new place I thought I would support. I ordered A 9 rib piece and watched the fellow count the ribs and the ninth rib was about one inch long. He counted it as my ninth rib. Sorry but you just lost a recurring customer. You sometimes only have one chance. read more

Well, i ate here last week and also read the reviews. The micro portion comments are accurate and the BBQ is virtually tasteless. Pass.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We had brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. The ribs had a great flavor and the meat fell off the bone. Loved the spicy bbq sauce. Mac and cheese was good. Jalapeño beans were great and my husband loved the waffle fries. The counter set up is a little weird but not the end of the world. If it's your first time make sure you check out the other half of the menu around the corner by the register. A little pricey but I guess you would expect that for good bbq that takes time to make. We will be back! read more
