Really big place with tons of seating options (bar area, outside, inside, second floor...). It was busy when we went but the food came out hot and we weren't waiting too long. The French onion soup was unfortunately just ok... it tastes a little watered down. read more

French onion soup was very tasty. Cobb salad is not a Cobb salad. No chicken. Eggs and avocado are not chopped into small pieces. Not arranged in rows. Disappointing. Atmosphere was fine. Large with bar vibe. Server was nice but took a long time to come. Our food came out fast but we just had soup and salad. read more

We had great service with Ethan. He made a very helpful suggestion so, my husband and I shared the cowboy Mac n Cheese. The kitchen divided it and each bowl had a roll! The food, the service, and the atmosphere was top notch. read more

Drove up here on a whim. We had no idea where we wanted to go for dinner but we wanted something laid back. Driving down the street, the building caught my eye so a quick peak at the menu on Yelp and we came in. Quickly seated and then the server came not too long after to take our order. The pizza and wings were good. Nothing that stuck out too much but solid if that is what you are looking for. The menu offers a lot of American fare for anyone to find something. Wonderful drink selection here to accompany the food. read more

Went here because it was one of the places left open past 9 pm on a Saturday night. We were able to get seats right away. The service was great. Their beer menu is expansive. I'm not into beers but my buddy really liked the beers that he got. We got the potstickers for appetizers. It was good and somewhat spicy with the siracha. I got the ribeye steak medium well and it was delicious and well made. I was actually surprised that I was able to get this quality steak from a bar restaurant. It was good! The price of the steak was not bad. read more

Hot pretzel with beer cheese is an absolute must when you are in town. Got the Margherita pizza this time as well and it was wonderful. They wait to put basil on it when it comes out of the oven and it's magic. Table also got a ribeye that is a special treat these days. It was perfectly cooked and the meal was just fabulous. Drinks were cold and well crafted. Would suggest this place for good service, fun atmosphere and reasonable prices. read more

I really loved this pizza! The pizza is a one slice (Giant Slice) called "The Sparrow". It caught my eye because of the pesto and peaches on it. It was really great and the service was pretty quick. The ambiance is really nice and in a cute big lodge. I can't wait to go back and try more! read more

Just go to the market there's different food options. It'll probably be faster and I think the quality will probably be better as well. I was so excited to give this place a try. I drive past it every single time I'm in Bozeman! The sweet potato fries that first came out on my Caesar salad wrap were lukewarm/cold Like they couldn't even pretend that they refresh by putting them in the microwave or something. They brought out a freshly oiled up overcooked sweet potato fries. I didn't say anything. I tried 3 1/2. They were awful chicken. Caesar wrap is good! I think the Caesar dressing has a little too much garlic for me personally Service was OK. Our waitress was really nice but honestly based off of this lunch, I definitely will just go elsewhere. read more

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Bozeman and the menu is stacked with many great options. The cheese on the French onion soup could've been crispier (but that's personal preference), but otherwise it was some of the best I've ever had. The chicken Caesar wrap and chicken pesto were large sizes and full of flavor. read more

In Bozeman for a wedding and decided to try Sidewinders and am so glad we did! (For those with food allergies, ask for the separate GF menu). Our server was attentive and offered suggestions, always appreciate it when a server actually knows the menu. Ordered the chicken nachos they have a slight kick in the white queso sauce and even my kids loved it. We tried the summer menu with their burger and the summer salad both winners. On the kids menu was very impressed with the portion sizes and quality (cheese quesadilla, a burger and the Mac n cheese) where the Mac and cheese was a sheer delight made with penne and a white sauce. Also enjoyed the speed which our drinks arrived to the table as well as the USMC themed decor. We sat below the largest American flag I've ever seen in my life and felt that this place is the perfect blend of sports bar but with the military twist. read more

Erin was our server and she was incredibly friendly and helpful! The food was a fresh take on traditional American fare. The chicken pot pie with the Cesar salad was great as well as the fried mozzarella. Loved the ambiance! Especially loved the POW-MIA table located near the hostess station. Erin made a great recommendation for ice cream in Bozeman after our meal. She was attentive and efficient! Thank you for a great meal and supporting our troops! read more

Great bar and grill in Bozeman. We were visiting from out of town and looking to have lunch before heading to the airport and this place hit the spot! The staff was friendly and attentive. I absolutely loved the decor and concept of this veteran owned, military themed restaurant. The chicken pot pie was featured on diners drive-ins and dives, and did not disappoint, delicious. The baked beans side were also tasty. My wife's fries arrived cold, and they were promptly replaced with a piping hot fresh batch and an apology. If you're in bozeman, this is a must try. I wish we had a location in Nashville. read more

Got the pot pie and S pretzel. Both were great and the vibes service were great too. Definitely recommend!

This place was just a must for our visit to Montana. With my son being in the military this was a place he completely enjoyed. Our server was wonderful and she was so attentive and accommodating, great personality. The food was good, you get a lot more than i expected. I was really pleased with the decor. It's done very well, lots of cool stuff but not over done. The center fireside area was my fave. The table and chair for our fallen heroes at the front was a special touch too. My tip: careful on the Cajun salad, that dressing is like hot wing sauce and i like spicy :/ but truffle fries are a go! read more

I went here with a party of 7- we really liked that we could "call ahead" on line and see where we were on the list. We ordered two appetizers- mozzarella squares and the S pretzel. They were both so good and I would recommend them! Everyone enjoyed their meal- wasn't the best food we ever had but it looked and tasted good, and everything was exactly as ordered. I had the BBQ ranch salad with chicken-no beans. I didn't really like the taste of the onion strings with the salad but otherwise it was good. We did have to track down our server to get more refills on drinks, but other than that the service was good and fast. read more

We've enjoyed so much from Sidewinders! The atmosphere is awesome and service is always wonderful. Wings are good, spinach and artichoke dip is good, soft pretzel is good. Burgers are good, fish and chips are good & the pesto chicken. We have not tried their pizza or pasta. We enjoy stopping when we are in town grocery shopping. Sweet potato fries are good and are waffle cut fries! read more

Third time at this restaurant and we definitely will NOT be back. One bonus is they start serving lunch at 11:30

Updated review January 2025 We have historically enjoyed Sidewinders. We've recently noted portion sizes are smaller while prices are higher, but we have continued to patronize the place. Unfortunately, our last experience was not good. We love the Cajun Pasta dish. We visit from out of town and always get an order to go to enjoy at home. This time we got home and were disappointed to find no chicken at all in the dish and three small pieces of sausage. That is not how the dish is supposed to be made and we felt cheated given the $26 price. We are too far away to do anything about though. Really dissatisfied read more

The place was packed. The owner is a retired Marine. I had to support my military brother. This is a cool place with a bunch of memorabilia around the restaurant. I sat at the bar where the staff took good care of me. They have us fast service and paid much attention to us. Constantly filling our glass with new drinks. I ordered the French dip with Beer battered french fries. The fries were amazing. Nice and crunchy. Great flavor. The sangawich was good with nice aju. Everything was better than expected. I will be coming here again. I recommend highly. read more

Service was great, front of the house is always good. The food on this visit was less than stellar. Poorly cooked steak, half was over cooked half was raw. Terrible fries on a steak frites, soggy and way too much oil. Kitchen really needs to step it up, seems to happen to every good restaurant around here, too bad. read more

Loved this spot! The place is huge and the decor is so nice, with a big fireplace in the center and an American flag on the wall opposite. It smells great inside when you walk in. Spacious booths and tables make it really comfortable. The food was great! Everything was delish except the French onion soup wasn't very flavorful - the au jus for the French dip was actually better. The potstickers were our fave - the sriracha sauce was sooo good we started dipping the mozzarella squares in it too. My son's steak was perfect - he ate every bite and loved it. Highly recommend! read more

Fun atmosphere, great service, yummy food! Our server was Liz, and she was super attentive! We were a party of four, and we had the wings, a buffalo salad, a giant burger, and the pulled pork. All of the entrées were served perfectly, and we finished it off with a boozy milkshake. The atmosphere is patriotic, the servers and bussers were all very friendly, and our food arrived promptly and at just the right temperature! I highly recommend this restaurant for intimate gatherings, or the whole family! If you can walk upstairs, there's an amazing patio. read more

Overall had a good experience. Tried the S pretzel with cheese and bacon and it was good. I got the chicken fried steak dinner and that was delicious but I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture. Got a pitcher of the huckleberry ale. I also tried a bit of the steak nachos and I wouldn't recommend that dish honestly but everything else was good. A not on the pricey side so between 2 people we split the pretzel and dinner. They have an arcade to keep the kids entertained. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant itself is very pub-esc open spaced. If you are in the area I would recommend checking it out. read more

As we are passing through on the way to Yellowstone for the night, we wanted a casual place that could cover many preferences. The hotel has Sidewinders top on their list of recommendations. Parking is easy and we were seated right away at a high top We ordered the chicken pot pie, steak, beef fajitas and a salad with avocado and black beans with added chicken. The beef dishes were good and my chicken pot came with an okay Caesar salad. The chicken pot pie filling had a good flavor;, there just wasn't much filling. Hubby's chicken on the salad was horribly overcooked. He took one bite and spit it out. When we told our waiter, he went and got another piece which again was overcooked. While the salad was comped, I'm disappointed that the waiter did not take the extra step of asking what else my hubby would have wanted. He could have offered a different meat, a different entree, etc. Instead, it felt as if he wanted to avoid any further interaction. Hubby's plate was bussed last and prior, after hubby told him after the second fail on the chicken, he left. In fact, we weren't offered any dessert until I asked if they had a dessert menu. Which of course I knew they did because I saw the peanut butter pie go by. Management: Be sure to work on the customer service because it matters. My advice is to have the beef dishes because it's probably locally sourced and have a brew because they have lots of choices. read more

The Yelpers didn't let me down on this place. The high ratings are well deserved for sure. We had a party of 8 and used the online waitlist to get a spot with no trouble on a Monday evening. The place was busy and clearly a favorite of the locals. The atmosphere was perfect for my mood and so I ordered a craft beer and the carne asada nachos as a meal. We were a large party and the staff was attentive, very friendly, and made sure we had a good time. Other orders included some craft cocktails, a French Dip, a jalapeño popper cheese sandwich, and a number of other different items and everyone said the food and drinks were great. My nachos were delicious. Excellent dinner experience. read more

A very large, well decorated place to be. We met a friend here for some American food and beers. The Nashville Chicken Sandwich was not as spicy as I thought it would be, but it was good. My hubby liked his chicken pesto sandwich, and my child ate his whole cheeseburger. Our server was friendly, and the vibe of the place was casual. Saw other people there who were on the same flight we were just on, so it must be a popular place for tourists and locals. read more

They might have the best deck top views in the area. The staff was also a joy to talk to. Beer was cold and they had a good selection on tap. One thing that disappointed me was the Nashville chicken sandwich really wasn't hot at all. Nashville chicken sandwich needs to have a kick and some flavor and unfortunately this sandwich lacked both. I'd go back again and try something different but not the Nash again. Maybe try adjusting that recipe so there is some sauce and kick it up a bit. read more

The 4 of us got in right away and were seated at a table with 4 chairs kind of close to the front door. Even though it is a revolving door, it is still kind of cold and drafty at our table. The place looked pretty full or I would have asked for a different table. The ambiance was nice with the big wood burning fireplaces and all, but we couldn't feel any of the heat because of where our table was. It was pretty loud inside making it difficult to talk to each other. The price of the food was reasonable for Bozeman. The speed of service was decent. However the fries were barely warm and the Chicken wrap I ordered had some of the driest chicken I have ever tasted. To boot, there was almost no dressing. I could barely eat it. Others at the table said their food was "just ok". The beer was kind of luke warm. We didn't see the waiter for a long time after he delivered our food. He finally showed up when we were almost done and asked how the food was. I told him "not so good, the chicken is very dry". He seemed to not care at all and just left the check. Perhaps he couldn't hear me? read more

I come to sidewinders everytime I visit Bozeman, food is always phenomenal and the drinks are even better. My boyfriend and I came in today for lunch, he got the Cajun pasta and I got the Caesar chicken wrap. Sidewinder's doesn't know what a pizza margherita is. A margherita pizza ALWAYS has fresh basil on it. Yet Sidewinder's wants to charge extra for fresh basil......even when the restaurant's own description states that margherita pizza includes fresh basil? Go figure. Be forewarned! Postscript: Sidewinders made it right by reimbursing the cost of the pizza. In response I've upped my review to 4 stars. read more
