I've now been to Tutti Bene twice since they opened, and I can honestly say it has become one of my favorite restaurants in Bozeman. The atmosphere is beautiful--fresh, elegant, and welcoming. The service has been outstanding every time, attentive without being overbearing, and truly on point. Their pasta is made in-house, and every dish I've tried has been excellent. I honestly haven't had a single item that I wouldn't recommend. You can tell there's a lot of thought, care, and quality behind everything they do. Bozeman is lucky to have a restaurant like this. This place just overtook J.W. Heist as the best restaurant in Bozeman. The restaurant's aesthetics are alike New York Italian eateries. Lots of paintings and polish. Loved the Osso Bucco and pastas. Appetizers are also very good, especially the octopus. The only miss in my opinion was the clam chowder, it was a bit watery but tasted nice. What stood out was the drinks and dessert. My kiddo took down 3 tiramisus because she thought it was the best. I love the in house grown mushroom display and the restrooms are among the nicest I've been to. Service is above and expected for restaurant of this caliber. When this place first opened, it was very hard to get a reservation. Things calmed down since. read more

Tuesday night dinner and first visit to Tutti Bene. Real cute restaurant with excellent service. They start you off with a small appetizer, this one was prosciutto with little bread and cheese. Really good. I was going to get the old fashioned to start but a person in our party ordered the maraschino cherry margarita. It sounded foo foo. But it looked great when I saw it. I ordered and it did not disappoint. Great crisp flavor and not too sweet. We did the burrata, meatballs and cesar for appetizers. The meatballs were just ok, a little dry and in need of flavor. The burrata was good and creamy. I really enjoyed the cesar. It had a unique mustard based cesar dressing that was outstanding. My second course and entree was the gnocchi, polenta and osobuco. The gnocchi was really good and nicely flavored. The polenta was a little disappointing. It was grainy and tasted a little bitter. The osobuco was excellent. It was incredibly tender on top of a nice and creamy bed of risotto. A very good meal overall with great service. read more

Just left this place 15 minutes ago and I just felt an overwhelming need to share our experience. Came for my birthday dinner with my husband and our 1 year old! The minute you walk in you're just blown away by the decor. It's so different from other Italian restaurants, I love how nothing is uniform inside. From the pictures on the wall, the chairs, the bar area. Our waiter Lee, he was beyond fantastic. He was so patient and accommodating as our little one does not like to sit for long periods of time. I don't remember exact names of the dishes we ordered Elk tartar: meat was melt in your mouth and the flavors paired so well. Grilled octopus: cooked perfectly Seafood pasta: my husband said it was one of the best seafood pastas he's ever had. Pomodoro with wagyu meatballs: the sauce was perfect. Meatballs flavorful and moist. We had to cut our dinner short as my son was in full toddler mode. Overall, our experience was one I'm going to be thinking about for a while. When people ask what our favorite part of our trip was this is one of the things I'm going to tell them about. read more

My husband took me to Tutti Bene tonight for my birthday and unfortunately this restaurant fell extremely short of what we expected. The decor seemed to be the priority for this place as the food was less than its price point it sits at. This restaurant seems to try and focus on the fine dining experience instead of the food. The reservation process was easy and we were able to be sat before our time so that was nice. The bread plate came with steak tartare which gave us a great first taste impression although we only had plain olive oil with it, not even salt or fresh cracked pepper which were both absent from the table. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer next and this is where it started going downhill for us. We paid $26 for what was equivalent to 1 1/2 slices of toasted bread. The slice with the spicy Calabrian pork was the only decent flavor profile. The farro and shrimp did not have shrimp on it. We split each piece of bruschetta and found the equivalent of HALF of one shrimp and two halves of tomato on this serving. The ricotta and mint was just ok. In hindsight we should have cut the meal short at this point. I ordered the bucatini alla matriciana and my husband ordered the branzino alla ligure. He enjoyed some of his meal before exchanging with me because I took two bites of my pasta and refused to eat it. The sea bass had a decent flavor but $52 for a small filet and arugula salad is obnoxious. As far as my pasta, I appreciate that the pasta is made in house but I would appreciate it better if it was actually cooked to al dente. I felt as if I was chewing through a stale loaf of French bread. The sauce was watery and lacked salt and depth. There was little guanciale and it was overcooked and dry. Again, for $36 this was an exorbitant price for a small undercooked pasta/ overcooked meat dish. Normally I would have sent my meal back but my husband decided that it was my birthday and was upset that it was not good so we just dealt with it and refused coffee or dessert service. I was then appalled at the bill. My husband ordered two old fashion cocktails and I had a huckleberry vodka with ginger ale. He ordered lazy K as his spirit and apparently $30 isn't enough for a drink without an additional $4 up charge for the 1 ounce of bourbon. I was charged $15 for a shot of cold spring huckleberry vodka and then an additional $3 for the soda from the bar tap. They also charged me for ginger beer instead of ale- which is what I ordered. It's a $40 bottle of vodka retail. We are not strangers to large dinner receipts or bar tabs. We travel frequently and try to always spend our money at local establishments. I feel like this restaurant has found a following because of its uniqueness to the surrounding area because the restaurant is tastefully done and it offers a different experience. The staff was attentive. My husband observed that the staff was almost overdoing it with their attempts at being a five star dining experience. I will add that the tables, at least along the front window were too close. We were unable to enjoy our conversation due the couple 3 feet away in our literal ear. For context, when the wait staff serviced their table and stood sideways between our two tables, her whole rear end touched our table and one of our dishes- through no fault of her own. The tables are just that close. I know I may be in the minority of reviews for this restaurant but I have dined across the country and internationally and unfortunately I feel like my husband wasted money on taking me there. If he wasn't objectionable I would have spoken with the management, especially regarding undercooked pasta. 90 seconds could have at least made the meal edible for me. I would give this a 3 except for the factor of up charging for the cocktail and soda for a mixed drink. read more

Delicious tasting, beautiful ambiance and outstanding service! What more can I say!! Just a few things I would have change which in my opinion kept my review from a five star. Italians LOVE their bread, and although Tutti Bene's bread was true to taste like in Italy, it's bland, just like in Italy. Americans are used to tasteful Italian bread, add the sugar and make it crunchy! Or better yet, buy some fresh bread from the Crum bakery, and take that off the chefs plate. Along with bread is a plate of olive oil. Thats it... just olive oil. Again, boring! How about salt and pepper? grated cheese? The half order of ravioli was delicious but each ravioli was cut in half. I'd rather have my ravioli whole. It was a very strange way of presenting that order. All and all it was a nice evening out, a little pricy, but good. read more

The noise did make it a little difficult to visit at times and the service could have been a little quicker but anyone who has visited Italy knows a meal is not to be rushed. My husband and I dined at the bar and were very impressed. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. You can really see the attention to detail. We started off with the Sicilian sangria & smoked old fashioned. We really enjoyed both cocktails. They brought out bread service which included two types of bread and an imported olive oil. It was delicious. For appetizers, we chose the bison carpaccio. It was a big portion and everything tasted very fresh. For entrees I had the half portion of ravioli and my husband had the osso bucco. Both were fantastic but I did think the half portion was pretty small. We ended the night with tiramisu. It's the chefs award winning dessert and it did not disappoint. Don't hesitate to try Tutti Benne. We had a wonderful time and will be dining again in the future. It is a great addition to downtown Bozeman! read more

3.5 stars! The atmosphere is something out of a TV show. Never would you believe you were in Bozeman, MT. Service - hands down 5/5. The price point is outrageous. If you are on a budget you will not necessarily be able to have the full experience. The food was 4 stars. Everyone agreed the antipastos and zuppa were by far better than our main courses. First, this is five star food and no doubt that it is the hands down best Italian in all Bozeman. The service is good, kind, and professional. My wife and I tried it once and really enjoyed ourselves. The first dinner we did the full appetizer, second course, pasta course, main course, dessert experience. We ordered a bottle of wine from their menu, but as a wine dork... their menu left a lot to be desired. You expect Italian forward for the wine menu, but the options in a region like Italy are amazing. They seem to be okay choosing 5-8 bottles of the major areas and that's it. We are really big fans of all wine, but fancy French reds and champagne (I am always down for champagne as it pairs with everything!). So after our first five star experience we thought... well... you know what would make that out of this world? Lets bring a bottle from our cellar and come with a plan of attack! So tonight we did that. We brought an extremely rare bottle of wine (because if youre going to bring your own bottle please bring quality and rarity that is far off a menu... it is a respect thing). Not insanely expensive but eclectic in nature, and a bottle that anyone in the restaurant business (server, sommelier, or kitchen staff) would adore tasting to expand their palette and knowledge. Its also industry custom to share a glass or two (shorter pours of course) with the staff to help them experience more than just their menu, but also educate others on what is out there. I never assume this will waive a corkage fee, but in many fine establishments it certainly does. Our meal, it was 5 stars. Our wine... other worldly (no ego, just facts), but out bill... that was a bit shocking. This is why I am giving it 4 stars and not 5. $60 for corkage?! That's more than I have paid in Joel Robuchon... a 3 star Michelin restaurant in Las Vegas (theirs is $50), and their wine list is DEEP. It is also more than I have experienced in Miami at Stubborn Seed (Michelin star), and New York at any restaurant I have been to there. I'm sorry Tutti Bene... that's a bit too proud of your restrictive list, and a bold turn off. $40 would be entirely reasonable, and was what I expected... lesson learned. Oh, and may I also add the best restaurant in Idaho, Chandler's, where corkage respectively is $40. All that to say, bottom line, go for the food... you can skip the $20+ cocktails, restrictive wine list, and definitely avoid $60 corkage on a outside bottle. We will go back once or twice a year maybe when craving pasta, but not for celebrations with wine. We will choose elsewhere in Bozeman (plenty other spots) for far less. Again, never expect a waiving of the fee even when sharing / knowledge building, but $60 is not market acceptable. Enjoy the pasta! read more

We had three different servers in less than 5 minutes state they were going to take care of our table. Each one asked if there were any allergies, we informed each one of them of my shellfish allergy. They apparently do not communicate with each other because another staff member dropped off a "complimentary" sample. It ended up being shellfish!! I ended the night having to take so much allergy medicine. The food took over 55 minutes to arrive, it was not busy. Please to the service personnel, if someone states they have an allergy communicate it. Our bill was almost $300 for two people and we still tipped because we know how it is. read more

This restaurant belongs more in Orange County than in Montana. It tries so hard to be chic and beautiful that it winds up being just too much. There are positives - it's beautiful, though in an overdone influencer kind of way. The service is quite exceptional. Very well-trained and impressive. Really high marks for service. The food was good, but far from exceptional. The food is certainly not worth the prices. The amuse bouche was tasty. The Bruschette were well put together and flavorful. The Minestrone was bland and, for heaven's sake, $18 (for vegetable soup??). The Rigatoni Bolognese was decent but lacking depth of flavor - doesn't seem like it was simmered long enough. We passed on dessert. Biggest issue is completely crazy prices. Dinner for two with three glasses of wine was $230 before tip, and we didn't even order secondi. The wines on the list are 3 - 4 times retail, which is just greedy though if you know your way around, there are some good choices that aren't overly rapacious. There's a 3% charge for using a credit card, which was not revealed in advance. I'm glad I came and tried it out. I won't have to do that again. To the owners' credit, they obviously invested thousands and thousands of dollars and it really is beautiful and service is impeccable. But I'll stick with Blackbird or Fresco Cafe'. read more

Our server was Rachel and she super rude and every time we asked for something she would be super passive aggressive. we were waiting for one dish while everyone already had theirs so we all waited till our friend's food came and ours got cold. Wife and I were looking forward to going here for awhile. The restaurant is beautiful, and the hostess was very nice. An interesting thing happened that I've never had happen in a restaurant before. I asked where the restroom was, and the hostess guided me to a waiter, who guided me to the restroom, and then invited me to view the mushroom display in a separate hallway on the way back to the table. Kinda nice, but just tell me where the bathroom is please. We ordered the bison carpaccio to start. My wife ordered the veal shank, and I ordered the rigatoni bolognese. We each had a glass of wine, and shared an affogato for dessert. They also delivered bread with olive oil, and a little salami appetizer bite thing. The bread was good, and the salami bite was completely unremarkable. The carpaccio was more of a salad. Lots of arugula and TONS of cheese on top. Tons as in, you didn't know there was arugula under the mountain of cheese, and could barely see the carpaccio. The arugula was great. The bison was very chewy, but the flavor was good. Way too much cheese. Main course arrives. Smells great. I'm excited. I take a bite, and discover the rigatoni is room temperature at best, and was completely bland. I don't know if they're afraid of salt or what, but I could not taste anything there. The bolognese had no flavor to speak of, and I couldn't taste any salt at all. All smell; no substance. Wife had the veal shank. She enjoyed it, despite it being overcooked and bland as well. The affogato was also completely flavorless. There was no sweetness to the gelato to accommodate the espresso. It came with four little biscotti, which were also terribly bland and had bits of what I think were rock hard dried fruit in them that almost broke my teeth. I couldn't eat it. I'm quite picky about Italian food, being a wop myself. If I'm going to pay $200 for an Italian dinner, it had better be spectacular. The evening was a desolation of flavor, and the biscotti almost sent me to the dentist. Best tasting thing was the free bread, and the wine selection was pretty good. I am unsure if they employ a sommelier. Service: 8/10 Ambience: 8/10 Food: 3/10 Probably won't visit again unless I hear about some major changes to the food. A friend and I dined at Tutti Bene last weekend. the whole experience was beautiful, but the food was truly incredible and the service was outstanding. Particularly fine dishes included the yellowtail crudo, guinea hen ravioli, and veal scallopini, all with amazing depth of flavor. Tutti Bene is the most spectacular restaurant addition to Bozeman--ever. This restaurant is on a par with great Italian food in any major city. Hans (manager/Proprietar) has shepherded extraordinary restaurants from conception to success across the world. The chef, the service, the food (exquisite), the wine list (particularly the Brunello and Super Tuscans)--all lacking in sufficient superlatives. The ambience and decor rivals anything anywhere--but my sights are on NYC Italian, and clearly, Tutti Bene exceeds the vast vast majority of NYC Italian restaurants. The food was fantastic. The ambiance was gorgeous! Excellent interior design, from lighting to seat and table placement, this aspect was impeccable. Things fell apart with the service, which was slow and came from a well-meaning but uncoordinated front-of-house. We placed our order long before our amuse-bouche arrived. Even then, I think it arrived with our bread only because we asked for bread, after seeing that the couple seated next to us, who arrived after us, received theirs. We sat quite a long time between courses. When refreshing our flatware in preparation for our soon-to-arrive steaks, the waiter brought the new flatware and placed it around our spent salad dishes. Those should have been removed prior to the clean flatware arriving. Finally, when the bread runner removed our bread plates, he stacked them on top of our neighbors' plates as those plates still sat on their table, before leaving for the kitchen. There seemed to be no one in charge of the front-of-house. Lots of staff walking back and forth, no one actually helping. If they can tighten up their service, they will be a fantastic restaurant. read more

My friend and I stopped in on Wednesday night at around 7:30 to grab a couple seats at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. The host said they had no seating at the moment but that they would be seating people from the bar to their tables and that if we "took a lap" and came back in 20/30 minutes there should be room. So we had a drink across the street and came back at 8:00. We saw two open seats at the bar, but were turned away at the host stand. We explained that we were told to come back, but the host said they were understaffed and their bartender was overwhelmed so they wouldn't be taking any more walk-ins that night, even though there were open seats at the bar. I'm sorry, but I have worked at multiple restaurants and have never heard of turning away people from sitting at the bar because we were overwhelmed. If they are having staffing shortages, maybe they need to pay their staff more? It was very pretty inside though. read more
