Andouille Sausage sandwich

The food here is phenomenal. Alex helped us decide on what to get and she was great. We almost passed the place because it's so small but definitely recommend this for anybody in town.-Emigrant, Montana You will not be disappointed.. Sitting outside in a nice breeze with these views just made it even better.

This was recommended to us as a "must try" while in MT. I'm glad we stopped! We've tried different bbq spots throughout the US and this is one of the best we've ever had. The whole set up of the place was fun. It has cool outdoor seating, lights, and good country music playing. I tried the brisket, sausage, loaded pasta salad, and coleslaw. My wife tried the dancing ned and she enjoyed it. I'd recommend everyone should at minimum try the brisket and loaded pasta salad. Bonus tip - they own the bakery nextdoor too. The cinnamon roll was out of this world for dessert and the chocolate pecan toffee cookie was a close second.

There was a line when we went there on a Thursday night at 7pm, so we waited about 45 minutes. I think it was due to a popular singer having a concert next door. We ordered a couple of drinks at the bar as we waited. The cider was good. I nice lady/local in front of us recommended the Brisket so we had to get that. I thought it was good but a bit too fatty for me; over 50% of what we got. We also had the pulled pork, half a chicken (that's the only thing my child would eat, and unfortunately, they didn't have children portions), collard greens, and beans. Meats fell off the bone, beans were sweet, greens were greens. I'm not a fan of benches, but that's the only seating option. It's a fun atmosphere with a good vibe.

A full order of Baby Back Ribs, 6 oz of beans and the jalapeños.

We stopped by this place on our way back from Yellowstone. Amazing. We got there about 6pm on a Saturday night and the menu was slim I am sure due to selling out most of their offerings. We split the baby back ribs, beans and candied jalapeños. All are a must. The ribs were done to perfection. The beans were perfectly cooked with a sweet flavor and the candied jalapeños with their subtle heat was a welcomed surprise. Cold beer on tap and their sauces were a nice variety. Stop here if you can!

We had the ribs and brisket sandwich. Sooo good! The pasta salad I'm still dreaming about and the beans were

The bbq here is so good, the beer is cold and the views are gorgeous! What else do you need.. if we are ever back in the area we will for sure be stopping by.

So I went to FYN for lunch while staying at the Chico Springs Resort--less than 10 minutes away. Very unremarkable experience. I got one of the daily specials--chicken thigh sandwich. The ciabatta role was excellent, the chicken was ok, nothing special. Then I looked at the reviews and person after person (seemingly all from Texas) said this was the best barbecue in the state of Montana. I started wondering what I missed. Then I got back to my chalet and found out we were having FYN catered in for dinner. I tried the ribs and the chicken and the beef brisket--oh my! This place is the real deal. Highly recommended!

We loved the bbq at follow yer nose. Super friendly and helpful staff. Rustic and low key ambiance with a nice back drop. If they suggest something, you should take their advice on a special (they are trying to help you). If you go later in the evening, chances are the popular items will be sold out. Our favorite meat was the baby back ribs and our favorite side was the collared greens. They have a plethora of sauces, of which we preferred the vinegar based ones. A must visit if you are in the area and are craving bbq!

Best BBQ I've had! Every dish is delicious, the ribs, brisket, slaw, collard greens, everything! They had some live music the time we went. It was so delicious that we came back the next day! If you like BBQ, it's a must try! Recommend stopping by if you're going to Yellowstone!

Service was super friendly, food was excellent. Get there early because they run out of meats like turkey. Good atmosphere as well.

When we came in at around 4pm, there seemed to be plenty of tables available but after an hour, the place quickly filled up. Vibes/Service: Parking lot in the back and it seemed there was some street parking available as well. Many, many tables available with bar seating as well. It can certainly fit a larger group. Great service from our server. Checked on us often and filled up our waters. Food: Because it was our first meal here, we wanted to try out their staple dishes. -Bison Potstickers ($16): 5 pieces topped with mango and garlic chili sauce and served with some coleslaw. Rich and filling, paired well with the sauce. Would order this again! -Bison Patty Melt ($22): it was my first time eating Bison, the waiter suggested medium rare. It looked more red than I usually like but it actually was juicy and tasty-- I guess this is the difference between a regular beef patty. I'd also order this again. -Served with pepper parmesan fries which was so uniquely food. Fries were fresh. -Huckleberry Cream Ale ($8/pint) paired well with my meal.

My server knew the special menu, regular menu and drinks very well. I ordered the bison patty melt and tots for the meal and the Bridger Hazy IPA for the drink. The bartender recommended the IPA and it was excellent. The homemade tots were great. A shredded potato in the middle, nice and creamy and crunchy exterior. Feedback was there were only 5 on the plate. Definitely could use more. The bison patty met was perfectly cooked. A lot of folks overcook and dry out the bison. It was perfectly medium and juicy. Feedback would be a little char on the patty would be great. The service really tailed off in the end, it was not super busy and they had about 5 servers behind the bar. I sat there for at least 15 min until another bar tender asked if I wanted another brew and my server came about 5 to 10 later to attend to things.

Had a great meal! We walked in just as the place got slammed and Mike, our waiter, was taking care…read moreof everyone. We started with rodeo fries, which are delicious. Think bean nachos but with fries instead of tortilla chips. The kids liked the chicken strips and fries quite a lot. I loved the bison burger, and was glad I ordered it cowboy style with bacon and grilled onions. The hunters pie (like a shepherds pie but with green beans, mashed potatoes, pulled pork, bacon and cheddar cheese) was also really good. Very cute cowboy decor and nice classic country music playing. It was fun.

Dont go there for breakfast…read more 1. 45 minutes for the wrong order. Under staffed? Maybe. But they weren't apologetic. 2. Bacon was burnt slivers. Its like they torn a single piece of bacon into thirds, and called it 4 slices. 3.The scrambled eggs were under done. 4. Also, microwave the sausage a bit more, please. 5. Coffee was lukewarm and flavorless. 6. All the silverware was on the table. More than just for the seating, but enough for the day. Nice way to share germs, and ensure no one has a clean fork. Have I had a worse breakfast? Yes. Dehydrated eggs in boy scouts. But they some how made real eggs (I could tell by the shell) taste like bad powdered eggs. I'm still trying to identify the after taste. Maple maybe? I won't be back there. I'm sure I can find better food elsewhere, there at least two other places near it that serve breakfast, and the market sells protein bars. This is the kind of touristy place that gives a town a bad rap. Overcharging for bad food and hoping to get away with it.

For full transparency I need to say my husband and I are from the Deep South we don't bleed red, we…read morebleed barbecue. My husband wanted bbq, in Bozeman. I have rarely seen a menu where I wanted to order 1 of each but believe me this one brought my accent out. Out of the gate, very quick seating, excellent service! Started with Brussels Sprouts with God's favorite flavoring bacon, with Parmesan, with...sit it down Alabama white sauce. Now, I met Alabama white where it was invented, I love it, and this combination will make Brussels sprouts famous. But, I had to try the hush puppies. Now, real southerners know a good hush puppy is the holy grail of delicious. I'm telling you, these remind me of sitting next to the 'Hooch. Fluffy, crispy, dark...I'm gonna grab another one before this review ends. I chose the fried catfish, Mac & Cheese with creamed corn. Now, I tried to stop eating the cornbread crust and came close to success. The fish was perfection. There are fish coming here to rise above their station! The sides were uniquely and magically delicious but I have to talk about my husband's food. He had brisket, ribs, Cole slaw and smoked green beans. I've never seen this man not clean his plate, but everything was so generous his full meter got pegged. Tons went home, everything was so elevated the Cole slaw, everything. I think the white bread was special (it was hella) fresh. Now, here's a fact, all tables are high or picnic style. I love the idea for a group, but I would have appreciated a back. At a table that my legs wouldn't fall asleep at. If that's a deal breaker for you, order it to go. Pardon me while I wipe the drool off. Enjoy, this place is beyond good!

I admit that takeout is not as good being at the restaurant so my review is not completely fair…read more Here we go, however, with my review. The brisket sandwich was ok but not great. The brisket was dry and could've used a little more sauce to moisten it up. The mac & cheese was, well, it was. They use shells instead of macaroni for the pasta, and no distinct flavor. Speaking of which, the side was the creamed corn. Yuck.
