Vegetable omelette, hash browns, and a single pancake. Yummy :)
Tamara M.

After meeting up with a friend who lives in town, he recommended we give this spot a try if we were hungry! Just at the end of downtown is Northern Pacific Beanery. They have their own parking lot or street parking, so no stress on finding a spot. Upon walking inside, to the left they have some bar top seating as well as a couple smaller tables, and to the right you'll find a big dining hall basically with bigger tables and more space. When we arrived the bigger dining space was quite busy, we generally shoot for bar tops anyway, so that's where we asked to sit. They instantly took our drink order, we were on a light hustle mode, so black coffee and a water please. :) Beyond that they offer milkshakes, fountain sodas, iced tea, and coffee drinks. For food I ordered the veggie omelette without broccoli, and then you get to chose your side, I went with a single pancake. My partner ordered the traveler's breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and a biscuit with gravy. Everything hit the spot! The pancake was so light and fluffy, hash browns were crisp, and my omelette was cooked to perfection! Overall, service was great and attentive, the food was far better than expected and all for a great price! The Northern Pacific Beanery would be my go to if I were in the area.

I love historic locales for dining! Great choices for both breakfast and lunch and homemade pies made daily. Service was spot on, although our server was a bit quiet. I had the chicken and biscuits breakfast. It was quite good but could have used a bit more gravy. My husband had the BLT and wished he had specified sourdough bread. Good coffee snd the strawberry rhubarb pie was great - can you believe we passed on the ice cream?!

Great breakfast spot in Livingston. Passing through on a Sunday and was looking for an open place to eat that had french toast. A lot of places not open on Sunday in the small town, and Pinky's weekly menu for this week had no french toast. Could not find a menu anywhere online for this spot, nor could I find more than one or two reviews from 2020! Took a risk and stopped by, and thankfully they did have french toast. It hit the spot and the service was perfect. I'm pretty sure the owners have changed since 2013 so the old reviews may not be reflective of the restaurant now.

This is a Montana size cinnamon roll.

Delicious breakfast. The south of the border omelette was so tasty and I got a chocolate chip pancake on the side which was also perfect.

We had the FRITES & FONDUE for an appetizer, fries were great, the Parmesan was a nice touch and the fondue didn't have a lot of flavor. Our entrees were served hot, packed with flavor & the pasta was cooked al dente. We both loved the our entrees, as we continued our meal seeing all the other entrees going to tables we are excited to come back to try the vast options on the menu. The cheesecake was delicious & fresh we truly appreciate the quality & taste of desserts being made in house- you can tell the difference & it is absolutely worth it. We will be back, it may be over an hour drive for us but a drive well worth it.

We started with the beet and burrata salad, which was full of yummy complimenting flavors and fun textures. I think it could have done without the yellow peppers but I just ate around those. The pepitas with the pistachio butter and beets were excellent, and the burrata added a creamy touch. We also tried the frites and fondue. The fries were thick and browned how I like them, but the fondue wasn't my favorite and was a little too overpowering in flavor for my taste. The parmesan on top of the fries was a nice touch. For beverages I had a local pale ale from Bridger brewing that was crisp and went well with the meal, and my partner tried the rotations shrub (peach), which she said was just okay. The star of the show was the arrabiata pasta made with vodka sauce and Calabrian chilis. The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente and was well sauced, truly delicious. The ambiance is nice, and the service was fine. They checked on us frequently but not entirely friendly, maybe our waitress was having a bad day. The meal was a little on the pricier side but I felt the happy hour prices were fair. We would return when visiting Bozeman.

Ended up eating in the bar area as the diner side had closed but the bar was still open. Fried shrimp, fries, onion rings and burgers were good and as expected for a diner. Wings were amazing and they brought out the wrong ones so we got extra as they let us keep them. Prices seemed a little high for diner/tavern food. A menu online here on yelp showed $12-20 entrees when it is now more like $15-24 entrees. But we were hungry and it worked out. Bartender / waiter was attentive and helpful.

Today, the counter was being used on one side as a workstation. That's OK. It's not a 5 star and part of its charm . But when the left half of the counter was taken over by a young server doing her hair and make-up while also eating her breakfast, well, I hope the health department does/doesn't walk in. This is not he bathroom. Oh, she never came back to check if I needed anything, but she was eager to leave a check. I think in the past I left 4 stars for this restaurant. The food was great! P.S. IMHO, for her, less is better.

When we came in at around 4pm, there seemed to be plenty of tables available but after an hour, the place quickly filled up. Vibes/Service: Parking lot in the back and it seemed there was some street parking available as well. Many, many tables available with bar seating as well. It can certainly fit a larger group. Great service from our server. Checked on us often and filled up our waters. Food: Because it was our first meal here, we wanted to try out their staple dishes. -Bison Potstickers ($16): 5 pieces topped with mango and garlic chili sauce and served with some coleslaw. Rich and filling, paired well with the sauce. Would order this again! -Bison Patty Melt ($22): it was my first time eating Bison, the waiter suggested medium rare. It looked more red than I usually like but it actually was juicy and tasty-- I guess this is the difference between a regular beef patty. I'd also order this again. -Served with pepper parmesan fries which was so uniquely food. Fries were fresh. -Huckleberry Cream Ale ($8/pint) paired well with my meal.

My server knew the special menu, regular menu and drinks very well. I ordered the bison patty melt and tots for the meal and the Bridger Hazy IPA for the drink. The bartender recommended the IPA and it was excellent. The homemade tots were great. A shredded potato in the middle, nice and creamy and crunchy exterior. Feedback was there were only 5 on the plate. Definitely could use more. The bison patty met was perfectly cooked. A lot of folks overcook and dry out the bison. It was perfectly medium and juicy. Feedback would be a little char on the patty would be great. The service really tailed off in the end, it was not super busy and they had about 5 servers behind the bar. I sat there for at least 15 min until another bar tender asked if I wanted another brew and my server came about 5 to 10 later to attend to things.
