We didn't eat here because they are only open 2 afternoons a week for takeout only. Very sad because we were really impressed with previous reviews on other sites. Went in on a Wednesday morning. Service was ridiculously slow. 1 hour for our food, 15 minutes before we even got coffee. My friend ordered a hot chocolate and the server forgot about it, we got it about 40 minutes into our wait. When we got our food, our toast orders were wrong. The food that I specifically asked to be prepared without eggs had eggs in it. We just wanted to enjoy a nice hot breakfast to cap off our vacation before a long drive, and the service was miserable. We searched for the perfect breakfast spot and we hit the nail in the head. The food was PERFECT and our waitress stephanie was A star!!! She was so attentive despite being the only waitress with a PACKED restaurant. She would run circles around the waitresses back in my home town. I was VERY impressed. She took orders, served food, and bussed all the tables by herself!! I got a breakfast sandwich on sourdough and it was very well made, and my husbands pancakes were so big and fluffy. Just left this place as hungry as when we walked in. Ordered breakfast Eggs over cooked. Sent back to kitchen. New eggs weren't much better. Sausage was burnt black. Tried to scrape the burnt off but still inedible. Pancakes were over cooked on outside and runny in center. French toast was mushy. Hash browns were undercooked. Terrible experience. We weren't charged for our meal, but didn't help our growling stomachs. My 6 yr old pancake loving daughter took one bite and refused to take another. We were just passing through. Last June, I stopped here for lunch on my way to Chico Hot Springs. It was wonderful. Tasty food and low prices. Only improvement could have been if the staff was friendlier (like most of us native Montanans expect). They were not rude, but just took our order and bought our food. Little chatter. The next morning I could have eaten in Chico at that wonderful place there, but instead drove up to Livingston for breakfast and was sure glad I did. I had a great bacon and egg breakfast, and was able to add a pancake or 2 for 50 cents each. What a deal. read more

This place came highly recomened through friends and reviews. I have never taken the time to write a review, but the owner of this restaurant was downright rude and is in need of lessons in customer service . Our food was under cooked. Inside of pancakes were runny, french toast was mushy, and both caramel buns were doughy. Never ate the food. I tried to be kind and bring it to the owner and managers attention thinking that they may have a problem with there stove, but they kept saying that there customers liked it that way. The owner was argumentative. We had to show her the runny inside of the pancakes before she acknowledged that they were ineed raw on the inside. I showed her the stretchy doughy rolls and her response was that only the corners were under done. I guess the customer is supposed to cut off the corners before eating. She insisted on charging for food we couldn't eat. Not a good way to treat customers. Severely undercooked food is not for me and should be looked into by health inspector. I would have let this go, but because of our rude treatment, I will tell my local friends and family to try the other establishments in town. read more
