This place is pretty good. They cook eggs perfectly to order and make a good pancake. The chicken fried steak was decent. It's a fine breakfast spot. I'm going to take a star off because the orange juice tastes diluted with water. Another critique I have is the service was chaotic. Everyone was friendly but we literally had five different people come to our table. One person takes a drink order, another brings the drinks, yet another brings the food, yet again another brings more food. We had no idea who are server was. Place is cute and staff is friendly. Only open for breakfast & brunch . We arrived late in the day just before 1pm (they close at 2pm) and shared a basic breakfast plate and a pancake. The eggs were delicious, I would never think eggs tasted differently but these did! The pancake was fantastic as well. Overall we were very happy popping into this little hidden gem on Main Street. We ordered coffees off the Cool Beans menu which I believe is connected to them and my coffee was great I don't. It seems like we may have visited on an off day, given how positive most of the reviews are. Originally came for the big cinnamon rolls but we were told they sold out within the first hour of opening. We ended up ordering two basic breakfast platters and the chicken fried steak, but it took nearly an hour for our meals to arrive. When they finally did, the eggs were hot, but the toast and home fries were lukewarm at best. We also ordered an extra side of eggs, which never came. This downtown spot was hoppin' busy! They have an attached cafe, called Cool Beans, where you can order coffee, tea, and espresso drinks to-go, or to bring into the restaurant when seated. I ordered the Cafe Vienese with almond milk, which was basically a mocha latte with cinnamon, and cocoa powder - delicious! They did a great job at accommodating our rather large group of 11, and the food, and service were excellent. I grabbed the Sacajawea Benedict with a buttermilk biscuit instead of the standard English muffin, and added avocado. The cook on the egg was sublime (see photo)! Traveling from out of town, we always make an effort to support local businesses, which is what brought us to Main Street Overeasy. We stopped in after noticing breakfast burritos on the menu, and initially, the experience was off to a great start. Although the restaurant was busy, we were seated quickly and our drink order was taken right away. Unfortunately, things became less positive as our visit continued. While the menu only listed one burrito, we were told customization was an option, which we appreciated. However, despite arriving before several other groups, those parties were able to place their orders and receive their food before our server returned to take ours. When we were finally able to order, one member of our group selected the special, only to be told it was no longer available. After quickly choosing an alternative, the response from our server felt somewhat rushed and less than welcoming. Two of us ordered customized burritos, but neither came out as requested, despite an additional charge for the modifications. When we were asked how the food was and began to explain the issue, our comments were unfortunately cut short when the server walked away. While the food itself was decent, it was disappointing not to receive what we had ordered. Service remained inconsistent throughout the rest of the meal. Two of us had specialty lattes, and one had drip coffee. When her cup was placed at the end of the table for a refill, it went unnoticed, even as we observed refills being offered to other tables. At the end of our visit, we were not brought our bill and instead went to the counter to settle it. The checkout interaction felt brief and impersonal, without any inquiry about our experience. After leaving, I noticed a $2 "non-cash adjustment" fee on the receipt, despite having paid with a debit card, which the receipt indicated should not incur that charge. We truly wanted to enjoy our visit and support a local establishment, as there were several positive aspects at the start and the food itself showed promise. However, the service challenges, order inaccuracies, and billing concern left us disappointed. We hope this feedback is helpful, as with some improvements, the overall experience could better reflect the strong first impression we had upon arriving. read more

We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but that was fine, as there is a coffee shop next door! The waiting area is inside the building so no worries about being out in the weather. You know it's a good spot when people line up. The handy thing was they had a coffee shop right next door. Handy? Genius! The coffee shop and restaurant work together so you can have that fancy latte with your pancakes. Somebody knows what they are doing. The food here is very good. We had the oatmeal, which was very good. The waitress forgot the nuts he asked for, but it was still good. The blueberry pancake was excellent. Had to grab syrup off another table, but the pancake was packed with blueberries and yummy. I had the Jim Bridger scramble with bison sausage. It was very tasty. I could only eat about half. Large portions. It's too bad the service was so lacking. The staff is friendly, but somehow, we got stuck in no man's land with having to ask for everything, even coffee, refills, and the check.
