Part of our 2 stop breakfast for the day, we had to check out Wild Crumb as they were highly rated. There was a decent line when we arrived but only had to wait around 15 minutes to order. I recommend sending someone from your group to the front glass display so that you have an idea of what you want to get before you get to the front. It's huckleberry everywhere in Montana/Wyoming so we had to try their famous huckleberry scone. This is my favorite scone that I've had and I am not a scone person by any means. The reason why it was so good, was because the texture and dough was more reminiscent of a biscuit. It was extremly soft and moist which was so far different than any other scone I've ever had. Whether or not this classifies as a scone I'm not sure, but should you get it? Absolutely! The other pastry I really enjoyed was a chocolate 'pound' cake with vanilla frosting on top. Aside from the fact that most of Bozeman agrees (Best of Bozeman & "Bozeman's Choice" for more years than Tex has been barking) - this is MY PASTRY PARADISE ! Located in a very walkable block with a weekly Farmer's Market & Fink's Deli around the hall, they're bringing all the gluten goods baked from wholesome Conservation Grains milled in Montana. And by ALL I mean brioche burger buns, berry crumb pies, financiers and cakes with aplomb to-go. I tried a delicate Carrot Cake (perhaps with a touch of coconut) topped in fluffy mounds of cream cheese frosting (+1 chocolate macaron) that WOWed. Only downside is you need 2 bites to get to the bottom - more than a mouthful! Not being from the area, when I went to order, I pointed my finger over the glass partition, and was immediately barked at by one of the employees to mind the barrier. She was so incredibly rude, that I wanted to throw my loaf of bread, right back at her. Not sure why any establishment would encourage this overkill/rude behavior. Our last day of the trip we ended on a high with Wild Crumb. Much needed after all the hiking. Wowowow! That scone was so soft in the center and the huckleberry was so fresh! I could've had like ten of them. If you only have stomach space for one thing get the scone. The chocolate pound cake slice was deadly, I would've died for it. The oatmeal cookie had a little bit of health in it with all the nuts so I told myself it was ok to add it to the mix, it was so good! The corn/blackberry croissant wasn't my favorite, but I think it was because the other three were beyond amazing. I don't think they could do any wrong here. I've heard so many wonderful things about Wild Crumb and I finally had the chance to see what everyone has been raving about today. Firstly, the location is great. It's tucked away downtown right next to treeline coffee which is convenient if you want to pair your croissant with a specialty coffee. They offer bread, sandwiches and a huge variety of baked goods and other deserts that all looked amazing. They even offer a vegan desert! I tried the cinnamon bun and at first I was disappointed that it didn't come with frosting, but once I tasted it, all disappointment went out the window. It was unbelievably flakey, soft and flavorful. It was dusted with sugar, bursting with cinnamon and indulgent. It was easily one of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had and now I know why Wild Crumb is so popular! read more

**November 2025: Tuesday Morning Visit** During my research Wild Crumb came up highly recommended, so I made it a priority to pay them a visit before flying back home to California. We parked our rental about one street down as there's no parking lot. The bakery is larger than what the photos onlined showed and some of the loaves of bread were enormous (I think they were $8+). There was also a really impressive mixed berry fruit pie ($28) and pecan pie ($37) that looked amazing, but alas I couldn't take it home as my carryon bags were already full *Cries* My mom and I looked at the individual pastries at the case and we decided to share one sweet and one savory pastry. The Brie & prosciutto croissant ($6.50) and Huckleberry Scone ($4.95) both came highly recommended and were delicious. We enjoyed our carbs while we waited at the airport, but I did notice a fair number of patrons enjoy their pastries/scones etc in their dining area. The croissant was very buttery and flakey, and the scone was crumbly and I really enjoyed the sweetness of the huckleberry. Next time I'll need to make sure my backpack is empty so I can take a loaf of bread home lol. Overall, I enjoyed it! read more

We almost didn't stop - as there was a line out the door when we got there on a Friday at 9am. But thankfully we waited (and it only took 10 minutes!). We got a blueberry muffin and their brioche cinnamon roll. I didn't even get a picture before we ate them - they were so good! The bread and pastries are so good at Wild Crumb that you don't really need good service or a welcoming atmosphere, but you get all the good things!! I came for the pictured huckleberry scone, which was so good that I ended up coming back twice more over two days. The scone had fresh huckleberries and sugar topping and tasted light and fresh, which is hard for a fruit scone, but they pulled it off. When I came back the other times I got a seed topped carrot muffin, a walnut financier with maple glaze, and a turkey sandwich that was so good I almost wouldn't give it up to my kid that I promised to share it with. Each thing was tremendously tasty, but to top it off the folks behind the counter were super friendly and knowledgeable about everything they sold. Coffee was from Ghost Town Roasters and served in large carafes. It was hot and good. The only thing that was a miss for me was a gluten free chocolate hazelnut cake bite which was a bit rich, but that combination is also not my jam. (See the aforementioned kid that I was sharing food with to see who picked it). All in all, top marks for Wild Crumb. I plan on coming back here as much as possible, especially to try an amazing looking key lime pie covered in edible flowers and fresh whipped cream that I didn't have room for. Note: Be warned that parking is hard to find around here and you will probably have to wait in a line to get to the deliciousness, but both inconveniences are worth it! read more

This was our final destination in Bozeman, and was a nice little excursion before our flights. The bakery is tucked away in a cute neighborhood (parking can be a challenge) and there was a line when we got there and a line when we left. We only ended up getting three items: their celebrated huckleberry scone, a cinnamon roll, and an almond croissant. We really liked the scone, but that's probably more because we're big fans of huckleberries than anything about it being outstanding. The almond croissant was good, as was the roll, but they were both beyond flaky--too flaky--and crumbs and powdered sugar were flying everywhere. In hindsight, we wish we had gotten a savory item to round things out because, overall, nothing was bad but nothing was capital-G Great. The staff are super friendly and helpful, but there was no one bussing or cleaning tables, so everything was pretty unkempt. We think it's 3.5 stars, but we're rounding up because we really enjoyed the overall vibe of the place and can see ourselves coming back on future visits. read more

I LOVE Wild Crumb! It is AMAZING. I don't live in Bozeman, but I love going there just so I can go to Wild Crumb. Their pastries, sandwiches, and other items are absolutely DELICIOUS. I was there a few weeks ago. I bought a peanut butter M&M cookie, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, a GORGEOUS citrus cake covered in white chocolate with flowers, and a fruit and cream cheese danish. Everything was INCREDIBLE. I also bought a fruit tart, but I admit I prefer a traditional custard filling even though it was still good. I've had their cookies, croissants, and granola which are also AWESOME. Wild Crumb is in a beautiful building and neighborhood. The ambience is wonderful. The employees are fantastic. My current obsession is their maple bourbon pecan pie, it tastes absolutely heavenly, as you get a great balance of all the flavors its name promises.
