This shop has so much personality! There are rocking chairs out front to sit and watch the cars go by. Inside there are so many cute seating options and board games to play. We came on a Monday and the place was really empty. Their egg machine was broken so they couldn't do any of the breakfast sandwiches. We got an almond milk latte and a hand pie. Both came out hot but neither was great. The latte milk was over steamed and coffee flavor was lackluster. For being a bacon and cheddar hand pie it had almost none of either. read more

I've had some good service and food at Dukes. Lately, it's been not so great. Put in an order online. My only option for pickup was 12:15. ok, no big deal. I ended up arriving a few minutes early. When I inquired about my order when I arrived, I was given attitude and was told it's not ready because the order said 12:15. It was not a friendly oops, we'll get that out there shortly. My second encounter, I decided to call in my order. First person gave the phone to second person to only tell me that I can go online. Again, not so friendly manner. I chose to go elsewhere. Last and final visit, today, I asked at the drive thru for a BLT. I was informed that I need to order off of the menu. I stated that I've ordered this many times (3-4 times) with a change to another sandwich at the same cost. When I finished my explanation, she thought she was cute when she turned the menu to me and said I can order off the menu. What has happened to customer service?! This town is too small for poor customer service. Word of mouth means a lot here. Poor customer service also means poor tips! read more

It's a cute spot but we waited 20min for four orders of coffee and another 45min for our food. We asked about our ticket and there was no apology for being slow or losing our ticket. I believe in second chances so that's what I gave this place. First time, we were greeted with severely unenthusiastic staff. And when we asked questions, the front counter person not only didn't know any of the basic questions we asked, but the bro dude in the back came up to the counter to interject our conversation about said questions to loudly, and obnoxiously read an ingredient list on the back of a bag. As my wife and two small children waited an ungodly amount of time to get three things, we realized not one item was correct. Bro dudes' only reply before getting defensive was that he will take our items and just eat them in the back himself....fast forward to my second time here. It's just me. Order a lox bagel that took 20 minutes plus for a few shavings of lox and a couple onions and capers that just conveniently fall off. $12 for this? Crazy town. We've been here a few times and everything always takes a little bit of extra time. However, on our last visit, we waited in the drive thru line for over 30 minutes. And you can't get out of the line if someone is behind you, so we were stuck. We decided to just order coffee since we already made it that long. So we ordered a few coffee drinks and no food. We were asked to pull around to the front, which we did, and sat for another 20 minutes waiting for our drinks before we had to go inside to see what was going on. Absolutely unbelievable! The cinnamon sugar with essence of orange cruffin is to die for! I could eat one every day! Great little eatery to meet friends and catch up on life. Customer service is great ( but it usually is, when the family works and personally invests in the business). Coffee is good but nothing to write home about. Wife and I had lunch today at dukes. Cool laid back atmosphere inside. We had Arnold Palmers and paninis. Probably the best panini I have had in a long while.
