I ordered a white chocolate mocha and it's got a great taste to get me through the rest of my walk! The barista is very nice and friendly. She always has great suggestions! There is a large table perfect for small groups to meet up. When you come in town from the airport, it's a perfect spot for breakfast before you start your day! read more

New Day Bakery - Donuts - Bakeries Near Me - Belgrade, Montana

Stopped in here after lunch at the BBQ place across the street. The bakery is located in a rustic building with a real welcoming neighborhood feel. The staff was friendly and answered my questions about their products. The donuts were amazingly inexpensive and tasty. Shhh, i'll be back, just don't tell my diet!! read more

Everything was delicious! Kids loved the sprinkle donuts. The blueberry apple fritter was fabulous!

Being from Northern California, every great donut shop is owned by a Cambodian or Laotian family. The donuts are fantastic. Since moving to Montana, every donut here is too heavy or just doesn't taste great. Raised donuts and cake donuts are just not good. Today we found New Day Bakery. Bought cake, raised, jelly and a big twist. The donuts are fantastic. Just like the Bay Area. When in Belgrade and you are craving donuts, New Day Bakery is for you!! read more

Best donuts we have ever had! There were so many delicious options to choose from-everything is made from scratch. I love the log cabin ambiance-it's the perfect Montana setting! read more

This review is specific to the "cream filled" donut. As you can see by the pictures, there is very little cream, and lots of donut. For $2.75, I would have thought it would be as its name suggests...cream filled. Oh well. read more

Ok. Has this place changed names? That's the only reason I can think as to why it's not yet been reviewed. There's no way you can stop by here, pick up a few of their spectacular donuts, puff pastries, cinnamon rolls, bars or scones and not want to write a review. And because they also have gluten free cake and some gluten free donuts, I don't know why New Day has been missed. Although I came by late in the morning, after the rush, I was surprised to find there were still some goodies. I picked up a couple of donuts and some coffee on my way to another appointment. Expecting a standard run-of-the-mill confection, I was completely won over with the first bite of the plain, large donut that tasted like something grandma made. It was enough to make me slam on the brakes and say "holy xxxx". Had I known, I would have picked up a dozen to share. New Day also offers gluten free cake and some gluten free donuts. read more

It's a nice little bakery on the edge of town it's not very big and doesn't have a big selection but the doughnuts and bear claws are good. The coffee is decent to I like the decor of the place and they have a few seats. read more

Staff was super helpful and donuts were fantastic! Lemon bar is awesome! Also bought a Cappuccino which was fabulous!

Disgusting! The donuts were dry and crusty, and they did not feel fresh, not only did I spend money on these over priced donuts but I was biting in to it and a gray hair was in my donut, what a nasty way to start to start my day.How ironic because this is called a new day bakery but that donut was probably not made today, or with love, just hair. read more

I was so delighted to find this cute little bakery! The staff was so warm and friendly and the donuts and croissants were outstanding! I highly recommend stopping in and grabbing your morning coffee and a treat! They make you feel completely at home and like family. read more

This place is cute, but the donuts are sub par and not worth how expensive they are. They are very heavy and oily. The chocolate has a weird metallic taste to it. Won't be coming back in the future. read more

Wanted to thank my parents with a morning donut. Person at the counter simply said, "Box or bag". Nothing else. When I was startled by her tart words, I said I wasn't quite sure yet. She then repeated, "Box or bag". I would have bought more had she said hello. I will not be going back. You have lost a customer for good. Remember, it takes a lifetime to gain a customer and only a moment to lose one. read more

Great doughnuts but ridiculous business practices. Sold out of plain old-fashioneds every time I go in. Which, I kid you not, is probably 15-times right now. Every time I ask why they don't make more and I get two responses: 1) They sell out the first because people like them the most. 2) They are all pre-sold to our wholesale clients. So why not make more for goodness sake? I really want to support this business because they make a great product, however, they have got to step it up. And $5.10 for a half-dozen? WTF. Just make it an even $5, or $5.50. Who wants $.90 change in their pocket. read more

If you are anywhere NEAR Belgrade MT do yourself a favor and stop at the New Day Bakery. You will have a really hard time picking just one or two delectable donuts or pastries. I had a glazed donut and a blueberry scone. They were absolutely wonderful. The scone was bursting with blueberries. The glazed donut was light and fluffy. Nice and fat with a perfect layer of glaze. The place is cozy and charming and the man who waited on us was uber-patient while my family went nuts trying to pick out the donuts of our choice. Awesome place! read more

Came in for donuts Friday. The staff and customers were not wearing masks. The gal helping me was rude...maybe because I was wearing a mask? Then she forgot to put two of the donuts I ordered in the bag. I usually like supporting small business but I'll have to take a break from new day bakery. :( read more

My fiancée and I happened to stop nearby on our trip from New York to Seattle. This charming bakery in a small town in Montana competes with every NYC bakery I've ever frequented. With friendly service and phenomenal pastries I don't have anything negative to say. The only possible criticism I can give is that they appeared to sell out the day before quite early - although I'm not so sure that's a bad thing unless you get there late and frankly that would be your own fault. Shame on you. read more

Best donuts in the area, for sure. Price is great and the taste is even better. Service is not the best, but we usually take our donuts to go so it doesn't bother us! Definitely make a stop at New Day! read more

Smelled good...thats where the goodness ended. Doughnuts were dry and heavy. Kids ordered hot cocoa - it was made with scorching hot water and not enough powder to make it chocolate. I looked at the menu and saw "maple bacon" and asked for one, the response was "if you dont see it, I dont have it" (fyi doughnuts in case were not labeled...) a man walked in behind our group of 7 and the employee looked at him and said "close my door please, the nees like it in here (insert snotty tone)" Less than impressed - all around: service, product and experience. read more

Took my out of town parents here after I picked them up from the airport. Staff was not very friendly and the 3 of us each got one donut and a beverage. Somehow it was over $20!?! Extremely overpriced and not very tasty. Will not be going back. read more

Good doughnuts! I got an assorted dozen. Nice selection but a little pricey. I'll go back and try again

Visited this establishment again today. My 5yr old loves going there. Any way. I thought I'd give them a chance since the first couple of days I was there had not been as friendly but I was wrong. Older lady is rude. Not a people person. Seems to get bothered when customers walk in. No smiles no greetings. She ran my debit card (seems like she can't see from close up) and immediately toss my card back to me and said it was denied. I said not possible as I know I have money in my account. She noticed my reaction and quickly suggested she run it again (guessing she didn't want the packed donuts back) and this time I read my numbers to her and behold my card went right through. And again no have a nice day or anything. Donuts are ok but great. Wish I didn't have to go back but for my child I will do anything. But always to go bag. Until I find a better place I will be forced to come back. Very rude and unprofessional. read more

One star as a bakery, because they don't bake anything. 3 stars as a donut shop: two for the mediocre donuts, one for the free sample that saved me from spending money here. Average, two stars. Oh and they have ice cream too. Still not a bakery. read more

Nice bakery. Not impressed with the cheese and ham croissant. Got 3 bites into it and it was all dough. We were heading out of town so I called to let them know we received 2 raw pastries and I was told to "put them in the oven to cook them". I prefer to have it cooked like it's supposed to be when we bought it. read more

Truly the best donuts in the valley! Everything is made fresh each day! Thanks Randy and Marjii for the yummy treats!

We love eating a good donut every now and then so when we moved to bozeman, we knew we had to find a good donut shop. New Day does not disappoint! These are the best donuts we have ever had. My husband loves cake donuts; no soft and fluffy donuts for him. They have amazing cake donuts and an awesome selection of flavors. I love the cinnamon sugars twists; theirs are a foot long! Ummm, yes please! Don't pass this place up. Super cute shop, friendly staff and delicious donuts. read more

The donuts are amazing! The place seemed a bit cluttered, but overall, I really enjoyed my service.

I very much enjoy their old fashioned glazed, cherry glazed and apple fritter. The classic maple round and chocolate rounds are good, but only when warmed up. The topping gets hard and almost crunchy, which really takes away from the wonderfully baked dough. read more

We love these doughnuts! The old-fashioneds are the best. And they're worth the wait, or returning if they're sold out. "Old" old-fashioned are just not worth it. Glad they set high standards - that's why they're delicious. read more

the best place in the world, amazing donuts

I love that we have homemade doughnuts in our little town! They are delicious and priced well!

Just this morning - walked in, nobody else there - one woman said hi, the other continued to drink her coffee - finally asked after a few minutes if she could help me. While ordering, she continually corrected me ... "oh you mean green sprinkles, oh you mean bear claw.." Sadly, I left a tip and upon me leaving, there was not even a "thank you." I did get a "you're welcome" from MY thank you, though ... I called and the lovely woman who helped me was either the owner and/or the manager as she replied "that's me" to my inquiry of speaking with either. I will NOT step foot back in there and I happen to have a following that will NOT return either. read more

As of this post, this is the first and only 5 star I have ever given and it's richly deserved. I first visited New Day years ago on the recommendation of a friend (it was in a different location and I don't often deviate from my 'regular' haunts) and the first impression I had has kept me coming back all this time. The person who helped me (one of the owners) was charming and genuine and threw in coffee and a free doughnut when I told him they had come highly recommended. To this day, this is the kind of place New Day is. I try to run by with the kids at least once a week and have experienced consistent acts of kindness and really spectacular food. One that stands out to me (and believe me, it's not a rare occurrence) happened a few years back when I stopped to get treats for a work meeting at 6am and realized I didn't have my wallet after ordering a full box for my coworkers... I was running late and really disappointed with myself but without batting an eye the person working told me it was no problem and I was welcome to come back and pay them later. These people don't know me from Adam and that's the kind of random kindness that inspires goodness everywhere. This also happened again later before they started taking cards and I had only my debit card and no cash - different clerk, same genuine trust and kindness to a stranger. This place not only has doughnuts that blow away every other one I've ever had, but will restore your faith in humanity if you're paying attention. read more
