Im so happy i finally made it here in all my trips to Bozeman. We got there before open and there was already a line but totally worth the wait. The inside is small and cozy but gets crowded quickly so Be prepared and know what you want once you get to the counter and keep it moving! $10 for a dozen is amazing for these fabulous treats! They do have limited premade dozens that are grab and go if you don't care what you get and want to avoid the line. We basically got one of everything for our Yellowstone roadtrip. Can't wait to go back! I can't even say which was my favorite maybe the orange creme but I don't know they were all delicious.

Being a connoisseur of cronuts and reading the reviews, I had to try this institution. Arriving about an hour after opening on a Friday, I was about the third person in line. Deb who was actually making donuts behind the side bar as the other woman behind the donut case packing donuts for customers, offered me a sample with coconut that was smooth and delicious. Unlike others purchasing dozens at a time, I ordered four. Pricing is $1 a donut and $2 for Apple fritters. So amazingly delicious, I returned the next day as I was heading past Bozeman to Cody WY. Arriving again about an hour after opening, I was surprised to see a line flowing out the door. When I got inside, Deb proclaimed "back again". I said the donuts were amazing and she asked what was my favorite? I told her the cream filled. She then proceeded to make one on the spot for me. What a sweetheart. I highly recommend this excellent establishment of gourmet donuts

We arrived in town Sunday after Granny's had closed. The hours they are open are Fri-Sat and Sun. Combine great reviews with donuts and you know we had to check them out. So we arrived just before 8:00am on a Friday. The parking lot was full as was the street. We found a spot to park and went in to get some donuts. We ordered 4 donuts. Their special was a strawberry donut, then also an orange cream, dulce de leche and lemon. That cost us $4.00. WhatI?!? That's right, a dollar a donut. I think we're still shocked at that pricing. The donuts were very good. The strawberry was our favorite however at a dollar a donut we can easily say this was the best dollar we have ever spent!

    A close up.

3rd times the charm. The first time my husband and I drove to Granny's Donuts, we were hit with the reality that they only accept cash. Unfortunately, neither of us really use cash and there were no near by ATM's so we just turned around and left. On the second occasion, I pulled up an hour and a half before the shop was supposed to close - cash in hand. I was met with the "Sorry, we are closed signs" on the doors and windows. It was such a bummer. I'm not sure why they closed early but I tried to look it up on their social media pages with no luck. It doesn't look like they utilize it often. This time around, I made sure I had cash and woke up early! I got there around 10am and originally had to wait outside. The line moves fairly quickly but the inside is pretty small so you have to maneuver around a bit. The donuts were good and you can't beat the price. The Bismarck donuts were my favorite. A family behind me had a child and the team let her make her own special sprinkled donut - that was super cute and a fun experience for kids! I can't say these are the best donuts I've ever had but they're definitely at the top of the list in the area. Getting here is about a 40-minute round trip from home so I'll likely only be back when I'm in the area & have access to cash.

To begin our experience at Granny's was beautiful and fulfilling. As soon as we walked in they were super welcoming, the older gentleman asked if my son who's is on the spectrum wanted to make his own donut and i mentioned that he may not want to; then went on to explain that he was on the spectrum and he said i totally get it and we can continue to see if he wants too. He was very polite and respected his boundaries even when trying to see if my son would be up for it. It means so much to me when people accept my son and are inclusive with him. That alone made me want to go back. Apart from that- the donuts, just wow. I don't even like donuts, my son does, but i tried one and apparently i like granny's donuts! Beautiful ambiance, service and quality homemade feel for donuts. Thank you, we will come back to granny's when we are back in Montana!

Seriously the best stop ever. 100% Worth the drive off 90!!! What a selection of fresh donuts! Plus you can add your own rainbow sprinkles, to vanilla & chocolate topped. Would definitely come back. Oh and to top it off my daughter got the most amazing apron too!

The best donuts I've ever had in my life. Granny was the sweetest ever and I would give my life for her... no exaggeration.

Strawberry donut, Boston crème, maple donut, coffee donut

This is my favorite donut shop in the whole wide world! The people that work here are so sweet everyone better protect them at all costs. Also $1 small coffee can't beat that!

    So many choices.

If you love donuts, you'll love Granny's All the small town charm you could ever want backed by some of the most authentic, most delicious donuts you've ever eaten. Remember that they're only open mornings on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (and they're cash only) but once you're inside you'll be deep in the heart of Bozemania and you'll always remember your visit. Especially memorable are the owners who greet everyone with warmth, sincerity, and a perfect sense of humor. Don't miss it!

We only ended up getting three items: their celebrated huckleberry scone, a cinnamon roll, and an almond croissant. We really liked the scone, but that's probably more because we're big fans of huckleberries than anything about it being outstanding. The almond croissant was good, as was the roll, but they were both beyond flaky--too flaky--and crumbs and powdered sugar were flying everywhere. In hindsight, we wish we had gotten a savory item to round things out because, overall, nothing was bad but nothing was capital-G Great. The staff are super friendly and helpful, but there was no one bussing or cleaning tables, so everything was pretty unkempt. We think it's 3.5 stars, but we're rounding up because we really enjoyed the overall vibe of the place and can see ourselves coming back on future visits.

**November 2025: Saturday Night**…read more My mom and I were looking for a spot to enjoy dinner that had parking. We drove around downtown Bozeman for a good 30 minutes, and didn't have any luck in securing parking. I found Mountain Walking Brewery and thought I'd take a chance and prayed that there would be a lot or that I would be super lucky with street parking. We were in luck and there was one very small spot near the front of the restaurant - hallelujah! The restaurant was poppin' - almost every table was taken, but we were offered bar seating and we gladly accepted. After purusing through the menu I decided that we should try a variety of items including a side of Brussels sprouts, Bowl of Bison Chili, and a Fig and Arugula Pizza. Service was quick and we got all our items in a pretty timely manner. The pizza had a really great crust the dough had a nice bounce to it. I think for me they were a tad overly generous with the balsamic vinegar glaze which made the pizza quite salty. I would definitely order a pizza again but perhaps the Margherita or the Carnivore. The bison chili was a good standard bowl and the brussel sprouts while crispy was also very salty - I think it was definitely over dressed, but maybe since the majority of patrons were drinkin the salty foods would pair well. Seems like a fun place to hang out, but for me I'd probably pick anything that doesn't have glaze or soy sauce.

It was insanely busy, there were people everywhere waiting for their lunch. Our food was delicious I really enjoyed the turkey bacon club- wouldn't change anything. My husband had the muffetta & enjoyed the flavor the only comment he had was that it was very oily and could have used a little less, even eating it with the wrapper on, oil leaked out onto his jeans. Overall we enjoyed our experience & would love to come back, their donuts looked delicious as well! The only thing we noticed is the flow of the restaurant could be improved so it's not so chaotic, people don't really know where to go - it seems like the ordering spot should be at the other end rather than having people cut across the restaurant and tables where people are eating & they don't know where to line up- like I said it was very crowded but we will be back the food is great- just wish the flow of the place was more organized for a better experience.

Well, that didn't last long because I finally got my hands on them and they're so good! There are a few donut places in town but this sure stands out. Fried in beef tallow, these donuts fill your craving for a guilty pleasure without giving you that almost regrettable feeling after you eat them. They offer a nice variety of flavors but my stand outs have to be the original glazed, Nutella, and huckleberry. I thought I would really love the creme brulee but the cream inside had a strange sour tang to it that my palette did not enjoy. If you don't have a sweet tooth, Lone Peak Provisions also serves up very tasty smashburgers and beef tallow fries! A very reliable lunch spot for sure.
