The umami pizza is literally divine. Absolutely incredible and felt "light" for a pizza since it had veggies and thin crust. Obsessed. My husband liked the Japanese IPA and hazy IPA. I enjoyed the American lager. Nice spot with great service read more

**November 2025: Saturday Night** My mom and I were looking for a spot to enjoy dinner that had parking. We drove around downtown Bozeman for a good 30 minutes, and didn't have any luck in securing parking. I found Mountain Walking Brewery and thought I'd take a chance and prayed that there would be a lot or that I would be super lucky with street parking. We were in luck and there was one very small spot near the front of the restaurant - hallelujah! The restaurant was poppin' - almost every table was taken, but we were offered bar seating and we gladly accepted. After purusing through the menu I decided that we should try a variety of items including a side of Brussels sprouts, Bowl of Bison Chili, and a Fig and Arugula Pizza. Service was quick and we got all our items in a pretty timely manner. The pizza had a really great crust the dough had a nice bounce to it. I think for me they were a tad overly generous with the balsamic vinegar glaze which made the pizza quite salty. I would definitely order a pizza again but perhaps the Margherita or the Carnivore. The bison chili was a good standard bowl and the brussel sprouts while crispy was also very salty - I think it was definitely over dressed, but maybe since the majority of patrons were drinkin the salty foods would pair well. Seems like a fun place to hang out, but for me I'd probably pick anything that doesn't have glaze or soy sauce. read more

Early dinner on Saturday. You would expect the beer to be good and of course it was. The server really understood the menu and drink options. I gave suggestions of the beers and he made outstanding choices. I had the cauliflower wings with sweet chili sauce. Perfect fry on the cauliflower and the sweet chili had a great sweet and spicy balance. The bison chili was pretty good. The flavor and body was enhanced when you added the cornbread to it. Together is was a good bowl of chili. Great place to kick back for good food and a beer. read more

Fun place to come with friends. We tried a couple of the beers, the sour, and the seasonal seltzer- all were good. The Big Sky Burger was a fairly big portion and good burger. The Gratto pizza was good as well, but definitely spicy. This place has a lively atmosphere and the staff is nice. read more

Nice ambiance with a modern rustic feel. Even hooks under the bar to hang purse or jacket. Full assortment of beverages, sake! Wine! Seltzers and beers... On tap and in can. Friendly service... In my last few visits to MT, I've consistently enjoyed Mountains Walking beer when I've tried it, so it was cool to get to visit the taproom for lunch. As usual, the beer I had was great (a sour). I wasn't really in the mood for fries, so I went with the brisket special with polenta. Not cheap, but a TON of food. I was fat and happy for my flight home. Service was pleasant and ambience is casual. Would for sure go back to try more beers. read more

It has an amazing pretzel! The waiters are super nice and kind also super fast. It's a nice vibe fun to come with friends/family. I'd come back here again!!! read more

They brew their own beer here. It is a Japanese style beer, which means it is a lighter beer than most. It is very good! We had the Todo GoGo, which is a Pilsner style beer. Again, it is very good! We had pizza and wings. The wings were exceptional, however the pizza was just OK. The crust is thin and crunchy, and the sauce is sweet. Not my style, but is was good. This is definitely a place we will return to, but will probably not get the pizza again. read more

I have a strange feeling that many of these five star ratings are just Californians used to the worst service ever. The entire parking lot was full of their license plates. Not sure why breweries decide to do this thing where they seat more people than they can handle because it negatively affects the experience of the customers, at the very least mine. My server took a while to come over to us first, perhaps 5-10 minutes and then proceeded to confuse me into ordering a Caesar salad as a full entree when I asked for an Italian sub... I don't understand this. It was clear if she was trying to suggest a salad to me to give me a small or side type of thing. Then she forgets my Italian sub I watched her write on her little post-it. As someone who has worked in the restaurant business, who writes orders on post-it notes? When the pretzel came, no napkins were provided either. It took awhile to get that under control. Not even plates to share it. The server was quite inept and failed to come over to us multiple times even with empty glasses clearly visible. She looked over maybe 5-10 times and came over 2-3. It almost felt disrespectful and rude. It took us quite a long time to even get a bill to leave. When given the bill, she said she'd bring the toast machine over then proceeded to put it down somewhere and forget about us again even glancing at the check on the table and still not coming over to cash us out. The ambiance was alright I guess but nothing special. I'd recommend skipping this place and trying somewhere that values your time and money. The tip was very low. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a brewery/restaurant and it's not an exaggeration. Just dazed workers with no care in the world. My senile grandma can remember orders, move faster and such way better than that. My tab doesn't even have the server's name on it which is a shame. Check #68, July 4th 2025. read more

Zero. I'm not a bad reviewer. I love local flavor and understand all that it takes for an experience. This is worthy of a buyer beware. Hoods over friers don't work, smells like fish fryer throughout restaurant. My wife puked in her mouth because of the flavor you breathe here. Ordered a Mule, Mojito, and a Margarita. All poured out of a can. $15 each. Don't know who the owner is but I'm sure they don't eat or drink here. Sorry, not sorry, cash on the table waaay before we got our tab. #barrescueneeded read more

First time here. Walked in was seated right in back of the host. The host came back with two glasses of warm (no ice) water. We proceeded to sit there for at least 10 minutes without any acknowledgment from waitress. We just wanted to at least get our beer order put in and we couldn't even do that! We ended up walking out very disappointed with this place. All we needed was a little recognition from the waitress and just couldn't get it. read more

Mountains Walking theme is Japanese-inspired beers. Tried a handful and found a couple I liked. They also have a big seltzer selection, which isn't really my thing, but might be great if that's what you're into. The vibe was chill but not memorable or the friendliest. Still glad we stopped in and gave it a try but if you're visiting breweries don't expect to pop in here and get the same vibes as the other breweries. read more

Fun, family vibe, friendly spot. This was the brewery I chose to meet up with the fabulous Tom B. - https://www.yelp.com/user_details?userid=3xBFFH866WoySDG7uuwBSQ - and we were here for a round of beers or two and a huge pile of their fantastic Truffle Fries. They have a big menu board of beers hanging and also available on Untappd so it was easy to find the right beer style for my mood. Comfy spot and lots of great food options. But whatever you do, get those fries. They're amazing! [Review 20823 overall - 85 in Montana - 1807 of 2023.] read more

This is what micro breweries should look and feel like. Friendly staff, open space, good food, clean bathrooms, great beer. If I lived in Bozeman I would be here all the time. Had a short chat with one of the owners when I was picking out beer to go and she couldn't have been more helpful or informative. She was like a treasury chest of information. I didn't know you could put terpenes in beer. read more

Loved the pizza and the service a year and a half ago so I went back today hoping for the same but I was alone and the service was lacking and pizza not as good as the last time. YUM! Great Beers, Great Food! Wish we had more time to go back again and explore more of the beer and food menu. We stopped in for a late-ish lunch on a Monday. It was about 1:30pm and there were still folks sitting around enjoying lunch and beers. We were immediately greeted and sat upon entering. Lots of great options. We ordered the chicken thigh sandwich that was tossed in the sweet chili sauce, an order of 6 wings and an order 6 "wings". The fried broccolini "wings" were definitely a yummy surprise. We weren't sure how these would taste, but they were YUMMY! And I like to think they are healthy too ... because Broccolini, right? My chicken sandwich was probably the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. There are so many different components that I loved... the sauce was sticky sweet spicy, the chicken was uber tender, the candied bacon was amazing, the arugula added a green freshness to the sandwich so it wasn't so heavy. So much Yum! I'd go back just for this sandwich alone. Alas... they have some tasty beers too! You can't go wrong. read more
