I was looking for a breakfast place during my Montana trip & I hit the jackpot at Center Ice. Service from Rhonda & Katie was incredible and loaded with personality. Rhonda (the cook) came out and sat with us & fine tuned our order. The quality & quantity of food was awesome. I had a 3- meat omelette & it was over the top. The bacon was some of the best, the ham & sausage were in chunks and not little crumbles. Everything was so fresh. The decor is local & national hockey history, including Katie's days on the ice. My wife and I just had lunch at this restaurant. I'm still confused as to why I spent $20 for a basic hamburger with fries and a side salad??... The service was OK. The price point was way way too much for what you got!... It was your basic hamburger with fries, I know I said that, but it bears repeating. And it was a small hamburger. Now the salad was fresh, but they only had ranch dressing so that was a downside. They also ran out of lemons so we could not have a lemon in our ice water. Their credit card machine was also down so they were only taking cash. Bottom line, I would not eat at this restaurant again for lunch because it's way overpriced and I could get the same hamburger, correction, a much better hamburger at Wendy's or Burger King! UPDATE: Wow, just read your feedback on my review... a few things: 1. That was not a 1 pound burger unless it shrunk a large amount in cooking. 2. We paid extra for the side salad, it was not included. Again, a burger, fries and small side salad for $20 not dependent on how many people we had is too much. 3. Your demeanor and defensiveness just reinforce my review of your restaurant. Rhonda is truly wonderful--so kind and generous. After my recent surgery, she went out of her way to help my family by providing breakfast during a really challenging time. Her thoughtfulness lifted a huge weight off our shoulders, and we are so grateful. The food at Center Ice Café is just as amazing as the people who run it! The breakfast sandwiches, burritos, pancakes, and more were all delicious. We'll definitely be coming back for more, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this café to anyone looking for a comforting, tasty breakfast spot. I mean we ate our food. But we won't go back. They try to make it fun with the hockey theme but it's just missing something. Our waitress was friendly but the other servers/workers didn't seem as nice and didn't return my smiles. I've never been somewhere for breakfast that I got a really strange uncomfortable feeling at like I did here. Shifty eyes, etc. I can't pin point exactly what it was. Greasy food, barely made it the couple miles home to the bathroom. Not a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Thought we would try again after years ago saying we wouldn't go back. Now it is solidified. Got literally anywhere else. A town pump breakfast sandwich will treat you better. read more

The good: cute decor and several of the wait staff were pleasant and attentive. The bad: as we were seated, the hostess cleaned off the table and chairs and then just told us to wait while it dried... was it that hard to just go grab a dry towel? Also, had to wait and beg for coffee and water refills. The ugly- eggs Benedict served with mushy hash browns, and runny sauce. To make matters worse, one of the eggs was beyond even a fried egg. After simply asking if I could get a fresh poached egg, I was approached by an extremely angry and aggressive cook who told me that there was nothing wrong with the egg and that's how we cook them here. Was so unnecessary and all that needed to happen was for someone in the kitchen to poach a 50 cent egg. read more

we placed an order with this café through DoorDash and never received it. When we called, the manager was extremely rude on the phone and said they don't do online orders but my credit card was charged. I will be disputing this charge and never visit this establishment again. read more

My mom and I came in for breakfast one day last week as we enjoyed it when they first opened up. Well it was a whole different ball game this time around. There are only 10 tables, maybe? Half of the people already had food but the kitchen "was too backed up" we had to wait 25mins for them to even take our order and then another 35 waiting for food. We asked for a cinnamon roll she claimed they weren't done they were in oven and take 45mins. We were there an hour and a half asked if we can get one to go and they "still weren't done" My mom wanted an omelet but add another veggie and they couldn't add or change anything the cook/owner yells and I mean yells out. "No add on no changes, comes as is!" Like um okay.. I really think they need to get it together alil better as the cook/owner seemed very stressed out with the orders that were coming in... I'd rather go to corner Cafe and wait and atleast get better service and food. read more

We discovered this cafe on SeizetheDeal, and went for Easter breakfast with another couple. Center Ice Cafe is at the old Cousins Cafe location in Belgrade, Montana. The owners, Brant and Rhonda Gilbert, work the cafe, and are the nicest most attentive servers you would ever expect at any restaurant. The environment is entertaining and fun to enjoy. We had the basic breakfasts, eggs, bacon and a couple pancakes. The eggs and bacon were just as ordered. I especially liked the hash browns which were browned, but not greasy or overly spiced. The Gilbert's are excited about their restaurant, as well as their future plans to expand into the adjoining space tentatively May 1st. They have new and exciting plans for an Internet cafe, bakery, ice cream and coffee shop. Stay tuned and keep your eyes on that space in Belgrade!!!! read more

One star is for the charming decor, and one is for the two wait staff who looked embarrassed and tried to explain what had just happened. Long story short, my friend and I dared to ask for a modification of our eggs benedict that would put it on the potatoes, instead of a muffin. Then our meal came and the eggs were cooked to nearly well-done. We made a polite request for one of the hardest eggs to be replaced. The next thing we knew, a very angry cook came out of the kitchen and yelled as us for daring to ask. To add to the disappointment, everything was super salty. read more

The food is passable, the service is subpar, looks good inside. The main issue is the owner and staff. Rhonda is a disgusting person and of weak character. If you say anything negative she will lie in response to try and discredit it. I have given her and her cafe two chances and it has been worse every time. The first time, I heard a server say something blatantly racist to another customer. She was informed about it later, via Google review and she defended her racist sever. Disgusting. The second time, my food was severely undercooked I wrote a review about it on Google. And again she spouted off nonsense about what I ordered she was wrong. She came unglued, raised her voice and yelled that we should have waited to be seated...we should have left. You'd think that being a "breakfast place" the ultimate be good at it. Definitely not. My husband and I stopped here for lunch. The food was excellent and my husband made me sorry I hadn't tried the Malibu Chicken sandwich. He said it was delicious. I can't complain, though, as Jerry's club was thick with ham and also yummy. It was also refreshing to be offered a side of cottage cheese as an option.
