Well, this was a bust! We go out of our way to visit this bakery. Food is always worth the stop. However, this morning was so very disappointing. We walk in and there are 3 molasses ginger cookies in the display. Yes! You read that correctly. Nothing else! 10:30 AM and that was it! Nothing coming out of the ovens. Oh! It gets better! The only other choice was a brisket burrito. Granted the burrito is tasty, but they were out of the sausage biscuit and the veggie burrito. I wasn't surprised by the veggie burrito being sold out as it is very popular and it was 10:30. It is usually gone by then. But for the pastry case to be empty at 10:30 with no plans to restock it. Wow! I was so looking forward to the spinach/artichoke and fruit bars. I always buy extra to put in the freezer, because like I said we go out of our way to stop here. Might as well close the doors now. Why wait until 2:00? Having owned a bakery I just don't get it. Not good business. New rule: call before we make the drive from Gardiner! read more

I love this little shop. You can get espresso drinks, as well as pastries. We tried their scones, which were decent, but the cheese danish was superb! We also had the rhubarb squares for dessert. Very nice. It's only open til 2pm, so don't wait. There is shared patio seating with the BBQ place. Very nice! What a fun place to grab a hot cuppa Joe and some delicious pastries en route to the northern entrance of the beautiful Yellowstone National Park. We live in Bozeman and are devoted patrons of Wild Crumb in town, but we decided to head over to the Park for the day and Mrs. B had seen an article about this great bakery/barbecue combo. Given that we're suckers for good bakeries (and barbecue), we had to stop. It's set just off the highway in the charming tiny community of Emigrant, the owners and staff are enthusiastic and obviously enjoy their work, the atmosphere is small town but sassy, and the pastries themselves are as good as you'll find anywhere. If you're headed into the Park (or out), you really should stop. You'll love it. read more

Finally was able to experience their baked goods, so very excited! Its days/hours open are a challenge, unless you live nearby in Livingston or in the Paradise Valley, or passing through to or from Yellowstone National Park! The sourdough bread loaf is exceptional: Dense, toasts beautifully--perfect for all purposes! Love it! 24 ounces & slices very easily; they offered to slice it for me, which was very nice, but I opted to slice it at home. The blueberry-peach oat crumb bar was very delicious! Perfect after hiking in Yellowstone! The white mocha latte was a bit of a disappointment because I asked for two shots of huckleberry, & I didn't taste huckleberry at all, even after she added more... I also bought a huge cookie with chocolate, toffee, & some other wonderful ingredient--probably cashews or hazelnuts? Saving it for tomorrow, & it smells amazing through the wrapping! Not many breakfast choices in southern Montana on the border to Yellowstone, but PLEASE don't pass this place up. Mouthwatering food, great coffee's and quick service make this "the place to go" for morning pastries. Don't forget to order 2 of their cinnamon rolls, as you can't stop at just 1 as they are just that good. Looking forward to another stop there tomorrow!!! read more

Hands down the best breakfast sandwich I have ever eaten. I ordered the breakfast sandwich (eggs, pepper jack cheese, ciabatta roll) with FYN brisket. The brisket was so tender and flavorful, and it went really well with the eggs and cheese! It was filling and so satisfying. We also ordered a little peanut butter, chocolate, and shortbread pastry that was good, but not as high quality as the sandwich ( but honestly it was a VERY high bar). Wow. I'm so sad that we found this place the LAST DAY in Montana. Ugh! Darn not having data service out there to Yelp this place!!!! Greeted by a tall (and pretty) lady, she was sweet and helpful while taking our order and chatting it up. Their mocha was delicious (I was craaaaving some good espresso since I've been deprived of Starbucks and Coffee bean while touring Yellowstone). But the highlight: the BEST cinnamon roll I've ever had!! This puts Cinnabon to shame as well as other cafes in Cali! I wish I could eat one of these RIGHT NOW!
