Great service Good food and ambiance…read more The Old fashion was Amazing The feel of old fashion saloon, the type you only see in the movies.

We are out of towners and stayed in Emigent, which is an area that does not have a lot of options…read morenearby. Old Saloon was closed for the first half of the week we were there (along with all the other food options) but we managed to pop in Wednesday night after a long, exhausting day. We found half of the dining area was closed so there were only about 6 tables available, plus bar seating (we had 8 people). Service was ok, but we did have to ask for refills each time we needed one and for sugar when it was forgotten. The menu was super limited (different than what their online menu showed which was disappointing because we went for certain things and none ended up being on the menu) and really expensive for what we had to choose from (ex. $4 to add jalapeño and $4 to add bacon to a burger- insane). The food was not great. I got the Big Sky (grilled chicken sandwich with bacon) and it was dry/overcooked. Asked for it with the ranch on the side (I don't like ranch) and it was put on it and on the side. Sweet potato fries were all stuck together and just not great. Overall, maybe we caught them on a bad day, but it was the worst stop we had on our trip. We got food, we ate, it did the truck, but it was over priced and just meh.

There's a steady flow of people in and out.. mostly women but a few couples. Nice areas for lounging with a group or just sitting and chatting quietly with a friend. We were going to just pop in for one drink but then our daughter's boyfriend joined us after work and we stuck around for trivia. Bartender was very skilled and everybody was friendly. It's off the beaten path but worth it and there's lots of things to do around that shopping center so you could spend a day

What a gem! The…read morecutest cocktail bar in the Cannery district - and a perfect spot for happy hour. The vibes are relaxed and fun while still offering a solid offering of drinks. Spacious couches and lounge areas mixed with bar seating and smaller high top tables makes this a great spot for groups big or small. Can't imagine any circumstance where a party wouldn't feel welcome here or appreciate the layout. Service was great - all the bartenders dress "on brand" and able to make suggestions while ensuring our drinks stayed as full as we wanted them too (but also totally good with us just being low key) Pro tip: They allegedly have the best grilled cheese and tomato soup in Bozeman, so guess I'll have to go back for that. One downside? They need to change their name! I can NEVER remember it and neither can my friends. Makes it less memorable in a spot that would otherwise be high on the list!

Was the service slow? Yes. Was the food worth the wait? BIG YES…read more I know a lot of reviews mention how slow the service was, so let's get that big elephant out of the way. Yes. It took a while. There was one waitress for the whole area. I feel like maybe the bartenders could have helped run food a little more but whatevs. Full disclosure, before we got our food....I would have rated this place lower. But. Oh. The. Food. My heavenly, small town, delighted tastebuds heck...the food! We ordered bangers and mash, the corned beef, and the Shepard pie. And we ate it all like we were on death row and it was our last meal! DELICIOUS! The Shepards Pie is something I'll dream about. Hearty and robust, but somehow not heavy. Perfect for a cold winter night or a hot summer day! And don't sleep on the soda bread! It's not only the best I've ever had. Paired with a smear of that lightly salted butter...it's enough to make me grab an employment application and ask if they can pay me in food! Bottom line- slow but sweet service for a REALLY good meal!

Our server Angie was very good and friendly. The beer was reasonably priced and they had both local and domestic beers. We had the G.O.A.T. Burger for $20. It was good but more the size of a burger in a kid's meal which is not what you except when you pay $20 for it. The burger was accompanied by a small amount of fries. If the portions of the food were better, I would have given it 5 stars. They do have live music but we left before it started.

Enjoyed my filet with potatoes & carrots. Potatoes au gratin could have had a bit more salt. All in all, fabulous dish. Ordered Love Letters from London and this may just be my all time favorite cocktail ever had. The earl grey infused gin + heavy cream was blended so nicely. I had to get 2! Honorable mention for the Here Kitty Kitty tequila drink & Prairie Pot-Pie which just melted with each bite. I can't say enough good things about 1864. Additionally, our server Torren was wonderful. He paced us so well and we never felt rushed to order.

They did not reserve a booth and did nothing to recognize the occasion. We then had to wait over an hour for food. The appetizers were good - tartare and yellowtail - but the entrees were absolutely dreadful. (How do you screw up a hamburger?) We gave them another shot last night and waited 15 minutes to even get approached for a drink, and no one came over. So we left and went to Stockman's (excellent!) 1864 is great venue that is entirely wasted.

The views out the window are stunning and the lodge itself is beautiful. They have another highly rated restaurant on site (the Fireside room) but we were looking for the more upscale one and enjoyed our dinner here. We got the Waygu burger which was solid and the Bison Bolognaise was fantastic. We also got the classic old fashioned (their drink of the month was a variation but over $20 so we went for the original), which was delicious. With our limited budget/hunger this is all we could get but given the setting/quality of the food I would come back to try other items for a nice night out.

All of the staff including the manager we interacted with here were fantastic. The restaurant is really nicely decorated (modern and sleek but still feels like a barn/lodge) with indoor and outdoor seating. It is a large space with high ceilings, a bar and even has a coat room. The mountain views are beautiful and there was a private party that night outside. We had a lovely dining experience, just be prepared that is expensive. They bring out an onion focaccia (cut into 4 pieces) with herb butter to start which was delicious. It was so good, we asked for a second. For an appetizer we ordered the grilled halloumi which was divine and a good sized portion. For my entree I went with the trout (whole fish that they butterfly) which was cooked perfectly and came with a trout roe beurre blanc sauce and vegetables (potatoes, carrots, cauliflower and I think swiss chard or kohlrabi). I enjoyed the dish and it was a large serving, but think it would have been better without the roe. There was so much roe in the dish that it kind of overpowered the other flavors. I think just a simple/lighter beurre blanc would have been better. Someone else ordered the lamb chops which they said were very tasty but expensive (over $70 if I remember correctly). For dessert we got the chocolate cake and our waitress recommended we try the huckleberry ice cream. It is good ice cream, but very sweet as huckleberries taste like a sweeter blueberry to me. I think most people would love it though, I am just not into sweets.
