We ordered food (Margherita Naan and blistered olives and hummus with cauliflower pita - yum!) and a wine flight and the service and the food were amazing! The staff was friendly, funny and engaging. I also browsed in the wine shop attached, and the woman working was so fun and helpful. (But not the annoying kind that hovers) Once she knew what I liked, she gave me a couple tastes of some fun, different wines to try and I ended up leaving with a case of wine! The mall needs more of THIS! Grateful that we have added this place as an option in this area. I can't wait to go back and have a glass of wine and a cheese board with my girlfriends before going across the parking lot to a movie this holiday season. We arrived just as brunch was about over and the wait staff offered for us to look at either menu which was sweet. After we ordered it was great to walk to the "retail" section and explore their wines, specialty goods and gifts - certainly saw some things that would be perfect for any wine-o in your life! They also have a patio with a fireplace outdoors that will be nice for when the sun starts to shine a bit more. (Super cozy and appreciated, even if the view is just Barnes and Noble lol) Downs: Quite pricy! $20 for a standard salad (shrimp = four cocktail style shrimp). 2.5 stars in my opinion. Our waitress Micah G was 5 stars-very personable, kind and attentive. The food however is simply not good. Continental hotel eggs (definitely not fresh cracked) and rock hard bread. The dip had so much onion jam that the sandwich tasted like candy it was so sweet. At least the kettle chips were nice. We didn't drink here just needed some food, so hopefully that is better as the highlight we experienced was Micah. read more

Where do I even begin? City Vineyard is where hopes, dreams, and taste buds go to die. I walked in expecting a cozy wine spot, and left wondering if I'd accidentally gone to a post-apocalyptic grocery store that had been taken over by dusty bottles and overpriced cheese. Want help? Too bad! The manager (I think his name was brian. He was bald) was either hiding, invisible, or deeply invested in a conversation about kombucha fermentation that clearly couldn't wait. When I did find him, he looked at me like I'd murdered his loved ones. Heaven forbid you ask for a wine recommendation-unless your idea of a good pairing is his vague hand gestures and "uhh, people seem to like this one." I've seen luxury resorts charge less for a bottle of mediocre red. One would assume the wine was hand-crushed by monks on a mountaintop in France then blessed by the dalai lama himself, given the markup. Spoiler alert: ew. Overall, this place is the Bermuda Triangle of wine shopping--once you're in, you'll never find what you're looking for, and you'll question why you came at all. After seeing a multitude of TV ads, we decided it would be best to walk in and see what City Vineyard is all about. Does the store really have is so many individual bottles of wine, and is the tasting room/restaurant small plates worth it to enjoy their wine list? Let's start with- I consider myself to be a person that enjoys a wine that is outstanding and if having food with a glass (or a bottle) the complimentary tastes and nuances of both food and wine must not overwhelm each other. So.. here is my review! Service- guest based in the storefront. As you are walking through and notice wineries that interest you, the staff will introduce themselves and offer assistance as needed- relaxed, not forced, extremely about each guest. Great prices with varieties of wineries and blends. So many outstanding wineries represented in the store! Move into the tasting room/restaurant... repeat of excellent customer service. Menu includes brunch options (if you are an early bird); mid-day into evening foods that are equally delicious. We decided on a salad with goat cheese, mixed greens, toasted walnuts, dried berries and a cinnamon vinaigrette, as well as shared deviled eggs. Breaking down those two-- perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors in the deviled eggs (did I mention you may select four or six ?); the salad was plentiful, could easily be shared, the highlight in my opinion was the cinnamon vinaigrette! Wines... we had whites, bubbles and reds. Love the options to sample prior to committing. The team members know the wines.. I was delighted with the opportunity to discuss my preference as to blending with the food and their Spot On recommendations! Bottom line- A fabulous addition to Bozeman. Don't let the location (part of the re-development of the mall) influence you checking them out. Truly a must see and enjoy experience. We will be returning guests. City Vineyard is a hidden gem in Bozeman! Beautiful appointed restaurant with retail store next door. Food is delicious and great portion size. We love this place. Customer service has been excellent, their prices are reasonable. They have the best charcuterie board, great tacos and salads. Excellent selection in wine and beer. In their store they have 40 wines you can get a taste of before buying. Their selection is impressive and unusual. I wanted a light summer wine and with help bought a delicious wine from Italy. We went there for brunch for 4 and spent over $100. There must be a reason they only serve scrambled eggs...the eggs looked and tasted like powdered or dehydrated eggs. The eggs were inedible! The toast was as hard as a drywall and without any butter or jam. My shrimp cocktail was overpriced and too small to be served. The only thing that was decent was the wine. My daughter and I stopped after shopping in the mall. We hoped this restaurant is indicative of the vision for the mall: modern, comfortable, and more urban than many downtown places. Good service, reasonable prices. We had the vegetable with dill dip and while I wasn't impressed with the dip, (it was good) the assortment of vegetables was amazing. Our server was very nice but the prices are not transparent. All sodas, ice tea, and lemonade are listed as $3.25 on the menu. I ordered an Arnold palmer and was charge $6 for the lemonade and $3.25 for ice tea, making it an almost 10$ drink. We were unaware that this drink would cost this much until we received the bill, which was not itemized, and had to ask why it was higher than expected. To be clear, charging that much for the drink is not an issue, but not being told that it would be 6$ higher than the price listed on the menu was an issue. When we asked about the prices, the host told us it depends on who rings in the order and that they are not usually rung in at that price since we were essentially charged for two drinks and only received one, but did not offer a refund. I have been here a handful of times now! Shopping in their store is quite the treat! They even will let you taste most of the wines they sell which is a great plus! Everyone I have interacted with at City Vineyard had been friendly and knowledgeable. My last visit I got to sit outside to enjoy the last bit of summer and it was a delight. I really enjoy the upscale ambiance and fine touches the place has to offer. Kree was my server on this particular visit and they were absolutely wonderful. Attentive service all around and gave great suggestions to the menu. My friend and I shared a charcuterie board and it was very filling for two people. I did a wine flight on one of my first visits to CV and I will say it can be a bit pricey when their flights are just five half glass pours. (You do get what you pay for though!) I just wish they had an option to do a bit more of a tasting with smaller pours. Anyways, I highly recommend this place to those curious to try it. Cheers! read more

Really liked this place. Had very nice dinner here - dill pickle dip with crudites and chips, meatballs, and shrimp cocktail. The dip was delicious, a quite large serving and the meatballs were light and delicious. Atmosphere was casual but fun. The wines we had by the glass were good. Came in for the first time with some friends for appetizers and some drinks around 6:00pm. We are locals and we enjoy getting out to try new places. This place is tastefully decorated with a small market just outside of the dining/bar area. They also have a nice, heated outside patio area. From the moment we stepped in to the moment we left the experience was exceptional. We were greeted at the door with a friendly smile and told there would be a 15-20 minute wait for a table. It was busy for a Wednesday night, but hey, that's Bozeman these days!. However, we were welcome to sit at the bar and order a drink while we waited..about 15 minutes. I have to say the service staff are some of the best I've experienced in Bozeman and the best part of our visit. Friendly, helpful, and attentive (just like they should be). This is a well-run establishment with great food and great wine/beer selections. The Bozeman mall is going through a much needed renovation and this new addition is a gem. We will be back! read more
