Atmosphere is why you should come here. As soon as you walk in you feel as if you have been transported into the 20's type speakeasy. The service is fantastic and the waitress is even dressed to the era. The drinks, while on the high side were totally worth it. I wish more speakeasy's had the atmosphere of this one. Definitely worth a drink or two

Such a cool little spot! Amazing drinks. Great food. Kind bartender!! Great service. Pretty small, and hidden nice date night spot.

Devil's Eggs - looks amazing...taste was meh. Cayenne You Not cocktail - refreshing and delicious

Stopped in for a light bite and some cocktails. Dim, intimate speakeasy vibe with bluesy tunes playing. Very sexy atmosphere. Cayenne You Not cocktail - ahhh, refreshing! Spicy and citrusy w/o being overpowering. What's New Pussycat - another citrusy number w/ a slight black liquorice twist. Unexpected in flavor, not bad. Devils Eggs - here is where the star deduction comes into play: bland. Half were pulled pork, half were guacamole. The only flavor came from the pork. I'd revamp this dish to revive the underwhelming. Great staff (personality galore), terrific service and luxurious ambiance - this place is definitely illicit affair worthy (Oops, the staff made me type that).

This place. The ambiance is dark and moody. The lighting is soft. The drinks were delicious. The glass ware was beautiful. I can't tell you how much I loved this spot and so happy we happened upon it!

Service was great! Everyone was super nice! The atmosphere gives a speakeasy/ dark Victorian library and I'm here for it! I could spend hours in there! If you come to Bozeman I recommend you visit !

Great ambience! There are all kinds of intimate little sitting areas scattered throughout.

My niece and I were visiting from out of town, and this is the first place my son brought us! The ambience was amazing, the service was excellent, and the drinks were really great! We each had a special something from the bar menu, and I enjoyed a virgin huckleberry lemon drop. Very good! Our server was excellent, and we ordered the deviled eggs and shrimp cocktail before we went out to dinner. As the afternoon wore on, more and more parties showed up, and the atmosphere was pretty terrific. We happened to arrive just moments before a giant hailstorm, so the entire pub ended up at the big windows watching the weather. For first timers, I highly recommend this spot! My son tells me that they don't advertise, so keep your eye out and make sure you FIND IT!

This place was such a vibe, I loved it! We just did not get much service and never received the introductory shot everyone around us got. These martinis were made perfectly tho!

I loved the vibe and decor as soon as I walked in. Both bartenders greeted us and welcomed us to a seat wherever we would like. There are lots of funky chairs or group lounge areas, but as I got to talking with the bartenders, I almost wanted to sit at the bar to hang out with them. Drinks were of course delicious and expertly crafted. We were on our way to dinner, so we didn't try any snacks. The only negative was a hostess/server who was nowhere to be seen initially, but then was really pushy about ordering drinks and checking out through her, seemingly for her to get the tips. As I said, it was the bartenders who greeted us, we weren't seated by anyone in particular, and I was going up to the bar to order drinks because the server wasn't really present. She also spilled a ton of water on my boyfriend and across our table as we were leaving and she was "cleaning up" the glasses.

If you are into cocktails this is your place. Its definitely one of my favorite spots in Bozeman. The Devil's Toboggan has a speakeasy vibe that is dark & mysterious. I love the interior decor and music. It's an experience. There is velvet plush couches with warm lit chandeliers. It's like stepping back in time and the friendly bartenders will make sure your drink is enjoyable for this ambiance.

I usually don't haunt hotel bars but I had a F&B credit and I read really good reviews about this place, so we decided to come in and check it out. We sat at the bar and that was a great idea. The bartender was friendly and made us laugh a lot. She was also very good at her job and made us some excellent cocktails. We ordered from the cocktail menu, but she was ready to make whatever you wanted, except for a Captain and Mountain Dew because unfortunately they don't have Mountain Dew at the hotel. And don't worry, it wasn't me ordering that. Not that I'd shame anyone for their cocktail choices but the gentleman and lady next to us had some interesting combinations they wanted to order. We also ordered the carrot cake pops. Man those were good too. We contemplated coming in the next day for some more. We liked them that much. The ambiance of this rooftop bar is also fantastic. It's large and decorated really well but the piece de resistance was the outside and the views of Downtown Bozeman. The cozy fire pits and comfy seating were very appealing. I only wish we didn't stroll in from our hotel room and wore more clothes so we could have sat out there the whole time. Oh well, there's always next time.

I hate to compare but it's crazy how different two places can be in the same hotel. The service here was abysmal. We came at the end of someone's set and it wasn't that crowded in the bar but almost every single table was dirty, with empty glasses on them. There seemed to be one bartender and another person helping. That person literally just stood there talking to people instead of cleaning up the tables. The bartender was pretty rude too and didn't seem to be into working here at all. The only clean table was by the door and it kept getting opened while the next band set up so we just moved to a table with dirty glassware on it. The drinks were pretty lackluster (especially compared to the awesome ones upstairs). I don't think it was that the menu was inferior to the other, I just think the bartender didn't care. Both my drinks were watered down and icy. Pretty sad for the price to be honest. It got pretty crowded for the second set being played so we decided to leave to let other people sit. I wasn't interested in having another icy sad drink.

She made it feel like we were regulars and I loved that. And the cocktails? Superb. Absolutely incredible, every single one of them. And that coconut lime rickey? I understand why people rave about it. Perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. I also want to point out how quick the cocktails came out to us. To start, we waited on a Wednesday night for a couple minutes to be sat in a nearly empty restaurant. We ended up sitting at the bar (hoping the service would be best with an attentive bar tender), and began evaluating the menu. This dinner was a business meal with a client. My client ordered the chicken, and I had settled on the steak tartare. I was anticipating to purchase a bottle of wine and located exactly the wine that would pair amazingly, it was a gamay from the Willamette Valley. The waiter told me as I ordered that the steak tartare was small and would be a poor meal choice. After taking his advice, I still desired the gamay and settle for the Rabbit Roulade dish. The server then informed me that he believed that dish was sold out. He returned to tell me that the kitchen was out of that dish, and they had been for some time. Now I was left searching the menu struggling to find an option. I landed on the sweet potato gnocchi. I ordered the Gamay, and the server seemed to have no idea what that wine was. I handed them the menu and pointed it out. The server and bartender stepped away for a couple minutes as they stood at the end of the bar frantically looking in the wine cabinet. They returned to tell me they were also out of the wine I ordered. They then tried to sell me some other wines, but I decided I would rather just do cocktails since that was the only gamay on the menu and there were no burgundy/Beaujolais options. The food came out, and thankfully it was good and had great flavor. This was the only redeeming quality. I immediately asked for an order of cornbread since the sauce was good and demanded a bread to properly clean the plate. I slowed down my eating to enjoy the meal but also to allow the cornbread to come out. It took 25-30min before the server came back, and when I asked about it they went to check. They returned to inform me that the kitchen had made a cornbread but it didn't turn out good, so they were "re-firing" another. At about 40 minutes after the order the cornbread had arrived. My client had finished his meal, an I had finished all but a pool of sauce on my plate. Sadly, due to the time my plate sat idle and the sauce cooled, the sauce separated and split into a mix of butter and oil. This rendered the delivered bread useless for the intended reason for the order. The cornbread tasted okay, but with my meal or within twenty minutes would have been much better. The server and bartender did not check on us besides the aforementioned encounters. Again, the food was good. Based on the times and my own experience as a server, the cornbread I believe was never entered into the computer. The times did not match up for how fast the supposed second order came out in a restaurant with five other patrons in it. Between being out of food, out of wine, and the cornbread fiasco it was not a good business meal or look for an out of state visitor. I tried to be gracious, but again, from my experience as a server left me thinking a drink ($6 beer) or the cornbread may be waived given then totality of the circumstances.... Nothing happened. I was charged for all items and spent $101. I am a 25-30% tipper normally. Tonight I left $10... 10%. That was only because the food flavor was good, and the kitchen deserved that whole tip. If this was a date night, I would have not tipped at all. My 10% tip will be a 0% tip going forward for this establishment, as I will not return again. Order this food takeout, and hope they have what you want or move on. That's my opinion, because service is not good either. I found myself apologizing to my client, and that is an awful place to be. My client even commented, "I'm shocked you tipped and were that kind". When I explained the reason was for food quality he quipped, "yeah but that tip won't go to the kitchen like it should." That is not the conversation I want with a client after a business dinner!

Some parts were better than others though. I'll start with appetizers. We ordered oysters and a baguette. The oysters were good but I found the mignonette lacking flavor. There was nothing special about the baguette. We were given two options for compound butter and asked if we could try both. The sweeter of the two options was better and we were charged for the second. My husband and I both ordered ribeyes with chimichurri for our entrees. Both steaks were overcooked and not at all tender. We've had better at more affordable restaurants. I ordered the "Boss Nova" cocktail, the flavors were okay for the most part but it was severely watered down. My husband ordered the non-alcoholic "Cream Dream" and had the same response. The dessert was definitely the star of the show. We opted for the Banana Tarte Tatin and Kladdkaka. It was definitely the highlight of the entire meal. Food aside, the restaurant was a little noisy, which was to be expected. The part of the experience we primarily found lacking was the service. Our waitress very rarely checked on us and only refilled our water once. I'm bummed we had a lackluster experience. If we ever come back, it would just be for dessert.

The pepitas with the pistachio butter and beets were excellent, and the burrata added a creamy touch. We also tried the frites and fondue. The fries were thick and browned how I like them, but the fondue wasn't my favorite and was a little too overpowering in flavor for my taste. The parmesan on top of the fries was a nice touch.
