    Ambiance!

Taylor was an excellent server. She made good recommendations and was delightful. I had the branzino curry which was just enough food. The celeriac is a fancy Cole slaw atop the filet. The rice in green curry sauce was most flavorful. The star of the evening was the Melon Cucumber Gazpacho which was savory and refreshing. My dinner mate had the rich and cooked to perfection duck breast with mushrooms and sauce. The decor and atmosphere is very chill and hip. Great dining experience!

Sadly, tasteless all the way around.

Man, I really wanted to like this place. The decor is 10/10! The food was tasteless. Went for the Sunday Jazz Brunch. The Jazz was wonderful!! I had the eggs Benedict and it had no flavor other than egg yolk. Sign of a bad hollandaise sauce... and dry roasted little potatoes. Soooo dry! I went to the bathroom and on the way back I saw the potatoes sitting in a huge bowl (open air kitchen). They aren't fresh at all and you could tell! I'm not masterchef, but I can cook a potato. Drinks were good. Staff was 7 out of 10. Seemed a little spaced out or something. I initially wanted to try dinner at this place before I discovered the jazz brunch (big Jazz fan) so I miiiight give them another shot. Undecided.

We came here thinking they had halibut on the menu however when we arrived and checked out the menu it was not being served. We were sat immediately on the back wall by the bar and the young man brought us water glasses . We took a few minutes to review the menu and watched a server attend to another table seated after us. Then about 3 minutes later "our" server showed up to fill water and take the order. We placed the order for the Petal Pusher and waited for her to come back so I could inquire about the burger ....we were able to order them so 2 with no lemon aioli. We also ordered the charcuterie board for a starter. We did ask for straws for our drinks but were unable to use them because our server brought them with her bare fingers close to the top. I feel like after Covid we've been hyper vigilant about cleanliness and germs. It's easy enough to use a napkin to pick and carry the straws. I also ordered a sprite because they didn't have Pepsi and she brought me a coke. However the food was actually great and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Brigade First day in Bozeman, my brother suggested dinner at Brigade. When you arrive at 233 East Main Street you will need to go to the second floor. Stairs and elevator available. Beautiful restaurant with plenty of dining and bar space. We had a great waitress, and even the bartender (Cody) was specific to make sure our drinks were made appropriately. We started with the bison dumplings. My sister-in-law had the kale salad which was delicious (we all got to sample). We shared the calamari linguini with chorizo. Everything was served quickly and hot.

Please tell me why we were charged an extra $2 for sharing a baguette that is literally under the "shared" section of the menu. It didn't even come on two plates or with two sets of utensils. Absolutely ridiculous. Service was also very slow and had to wait ten minutes to get a knife for the steak after we had already been served our food. I would not recommend.

This brightly lit space is welcoming as are the staff. We were on a 25th anniversary trip to Yellowstone and were told we needed to stop by Brigade. Food portions are sizable and probably should have been split between us, but what are vacations for? Great place for foodies and tourists.

Such a cute brunch spot! Our server was attentive and the food came out quick. Brunch was recently added to the menu so the restaurant itself was a bit empty, hoping to go back sometime for dinner and see it more busy!

One of the best gems in downtown Bozeman. We stumbled on this place our first day in town and lucked out because it just so happened to be Happy Hour! What a freaking deal! We got $3 mixed cocktails and beers. Yes, you read that correctly. Let me say that again. THREE DOLLAR COCKTAILS! Along with perhaps the most economical cocktails ever, we indulged in truffle french fries and some raw bar oysters--both of which were also on the happy hour menu. The coolest part of this place is the blend of western + industrial decor overlooking the main street. If you're lucky enough, you'll score a seat alongside the windows that open directly over Main Street. Great vibes + AMAZING HAPPY HOUR!

When a place is yummy enough to come back to it on the way back home, you know you have a winner. The place looks fantastic, big windows but still moody and fun. The servers are on point very friendly and helpful. Let's talk food we came here for dinner and brunch no reservations for either and still managed to get a table within minutes. I did enjoy Dinner more than brunch but I'd still stop by for brunch and try other menu options Bison short ribs: OMG so yummy, fall off the bone yummy (literally) meaty and glorious Bison Ribeye: unctuous, perfectly cooked (medium rare as our server suggested) the sides complemented it well (are we really going to say Mac and cheese doesn't go well with most things?) mouths watering all over again Peach and radicchio salad: very well balanced sweetness and bitterness Brunch Chicken and waffles: not something I'd order again unless they changed the batter. Waffles need that crisp outside and fluffy inside, the chicken was also a little over (some pieces were nice and juicy) Beignets: lovely flavor but they do need to be smaller it sorta messes with you (sugar everywhere plus less crispy outside to fluffy inside ratio) the anglaise was wrong, far too runny but the flavor again was really good Birria sliders: very yummy love how peppery the dip that came with them was. Everything was nicely done would order again, just to note, the sliders are Hawaiian buns and maybe a little sweet for some Hope to be back visiting Bozeman soon!

Brigade was so delicious. We went with a group of 7 coworkers for a company dinner and it was the perfect mix of local, farm to table food and a great ambiance for discussion. Our server, a was THE BEST- she was super knowledgeable, friendly, and gave responsive service. Thanks Chef Ted for a great meal.

I usually don't haunt hotel bars but I had a F&B credit and I read really good reviews about this place, so we decided to come in and check it out. We sat at the bar and that was a great idea. The bartender was friendly and made us laugh a lot. She was also very good at her job and made us some excellent cocktails. We ordered from the cocktail menu, but she was ready to make whatever you wanted, except for a Captain and Mountain Dew because unfortunately they don't have Mountain Dew at the hotel. And don't worry, it wasn't me ordering that. Not that I'd shame anyone for their cocktail choices but the gentleman and lady next to us had some interesting combinations they wanted to order. We came at the end of someone's set and it wasn't that crowded in the bar but almost every single table was dirty, with empty glasses on them. There seemed to be one bartender and another person helping. That person literally just stood there talking to people instead of cleaning up the tables. The bartender was pretty rude too and didn't seem to be into working here at all. The only clean table was by the door and it kept getting opened while the next band set up so we just moved to a table with dirty glassware on it. The drinks were pretty lackluster (especially compared to the awesome ones upstairs). I don't think it was that the menu was inferior to the other, I just think the bartender didn't care. Both my drinks were watered down and icy. Pretty sad for the price to be honest. It got pretty crowded for the second set being played so we decided to leave to let other people sit. To start, we waited on a Wednesday night for a couple minutes to be sat in a nearly empty restaurant. We ended up sitting at the bar (hoping the service would be best with an attentive bar tender), and began evaluating the menu. This dinner was a business meal with a client. My client ordered the chicken, and I had settled on the steak tartare. I was anticipating to purchase a bottle of wine and located exactly the wine that would pair amazingly, it was a gamay from the Willamette Valley. The waiter told me as I ordered that the steak tartare was small and would be a poor meal choice. After taking his advice, I still desired the gamay and settle for the Rabbit Roulade dish. The server then informed me that he believed that dish was sold out. He returned to tell me that the kitchen was out of that dish, and they had been for some time. Now I was left searching the menu struggling to find an option. I landed on the sweet potato gnocchi. I ordered the Gamay, and the server seemed to have no idea what that wine was. I handed them the menu and pointed it out. The server and bartender stepped away for a couple minutes as they stood at the end of the bar frantically looking in the wine cabinet. They returned to tell me they were also out of the wine I ordered. They then tried to sell me some other wines, but I decided I would rather just do cocktails since that was the only gamay on the menu and there were no burgundy/Beaujolais options. The food came out, and thankfully it was good and had great flavor. This was the only redeeming quality. I immediately asked for an order of cornbread since the sauce was good and demanded a bread to properly clean the plate. I slowed down my eating to enjoy the meal but also to allow the cornbread to come out. It took 25-30min before the server came back, and when I asked about it they went to check. They returned to inform me that the kitchen had made a cornbread but it didn't turn out good, so they were "re-firing" another. At about 40 minutes after the order the cornbread had arrived. My client had finished his meal, an I had finished all but a pool of sauce on my plate. Sadly, due to the time my plate sat idle and the sauce cooled, the sauce separated and split into a mix of butter and oil. This rendered the delivered bread useless for the intended reason for the order. The cornbread tasted okay, but with my meal or within twenty minutes would have been much better. The server and bartender did not check on us besides the aforementioned encounters. Again, the food was good. Based on the times and my own experience as a server, the cornbread I believe was never entered into the computer. The times did not match up for how fast the supposed second order came out in a restaurant with five other patrons in it. Between being out of food, out of wine, and the cornbread fiasco it was not a good business meal or look for an out of state visitor. I tried to be gracious, but again, from my experience as a server left me thinking a drink ($6 beer) or the cornbread may be waived given then totality of the circumstances.... Nothing happened. I was charged for all items and spent $101. I am a 25-30% tipper normally. Tonight I left $10... 10%. That was only because the food flavor was good, and the kitchen deserved that whole tip. If this was a date night, I would have not tipped at all. My 10% tip will be a 0% tip going forward for this establishment, as I will not return again. Order this food takeout, and hope they have what you want or move on. That's my opinion, because service is not good either. I found myself apologizing to my client, and that is an awful place to be. My client even commented, "I'm shocked you tipped and were that kind". When I explained the reason was for food quality he quipped, "yeah but that tip won't go to the kitchen like it should." That is not the conversation I want with a client after a business dinner!

The pepitas with the pistachio butter and beets were excellent, and the burrata added a creamy touch. We also tried the frites and fondue. The fries were thick and browned how I like them, but the fondue wasn't my favorite and was a little too overpowering in flavor for my taste. The parmesan on top of the fries was a nice touch. For beverages I had a local pale ale from Bridger brewing that was crisp and went well with the meal, and my partner tried the rotations shrub (peach), which she said was just okay. The star of the show was the arrabiata pasta made with vodka sauce and Calabrian chilis. The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente and was well sauced, truly delicious.
