My daughter had given me a bottle of the Huckleberry For Christmas.. I love it with a little bit of blackberry. Seltzer and a spritz of lime... So when we visited in September, what a delight to be strolling down the avenue and come across the store for this distillery. We were able to sample their whiskey and other spirits. They have quite the wonderful array of posters and signs of their unique images of the The Western gals as a throwback to the old type of branding from decades ago. Stop 4 of 8 for Montana on our Hundreds of Hops self-guided US Hop Passport Brewery Tour Amazing Brewery Race 2025 & what a lovely surprise this stop it was. Yes, technically, a Distillery- not a Brewery. These guys were in our book, so we stopped in about 15min before close - not really sure what to expect, as the breweries were bogo pints for the most part. We were advised that we could select from the cocktail list under the same bogo concept & it was explained that drinks must be served by 8pm by law, because of the type of license that breweries and distilleries have. This is also when we learned about the 3 drink policy (& the card that had us so confused from our previous stop was finally explained) We opted for the lavender lady and the huckleberry lemonade. They were both well-balanced & neither were artificial or chemical tasting. The tart muddled berries were delightful against the lemonade. The drinks rang sophisticated - without being bougie... this wasn't that strawberry wine from our early years of life, nor was it something you were afraid to drink over the price point. Coming in at $10 & $12, I'd certainly be ok with full price. I do feel like I'd prefer to come in for drinks, (those hand-crafted cocktails), personally, vs buying the spirits & having to make my own. read more

This place was a gem I wish I could have stayed and had a drink but my kids were not letting us do anything so my husband stayed in the car while I went in to get some bottles. I love their coffee liqueur it's the best I've ever had. Haven't tried the other spirits we bought but I'm sure they'll be great got some goodies I can't wait to mix with when I get home. read more

I got a tasting flight which I really enjoyed, trying all the different spirits they make. Then got a Bloody Mary. Like the best Bloody Mary EVER! They make their own mix and put a bunch of pickled veggies in. It was so good. Only problem is, couldn't order a second one because of the two drink limit! Bozeman liquor laws. Next time I will not get the flight so I can get two Bloody Mary's. SO GOOD. The Huckleberry vodka is really good that they distill here, bought some to bring home. They do all the distilling on site so it is kind of fun to check out the operation. read more

This is a good place for a couple drinks although you can only have a maximum of two per day here. This distillery produces multiple types of vodka, multiple whiskeys, gin, and rum so there's a huge variety of cocktails that use those spirits here. This is located right on Main Street so it's perfectly situated in the downtown area. My first drink was the huckleberry press ($8) which was refreshing. It has actual muddled huckleberries in the drink however it does make it harder to drink through the straw if a berry gets stuck. My second drink was the lavender lady old fashioned ($9) which is a lot more spirit forward than the first drink but still very easy to drink from the sweetness of the muddled orange and the lavender. They also serve flights if you prefer those over cocktails to taste the individual spirits. read more

Bozeman? More like Booze, Man! This place is Bozeman's source for local liquor! I came by here a few times, but it was always kinda early, and there weren't a whole lot of people having cocktails or sampling at such an early hour. This place has a wide variety of local booze, all distilled here on site and bottled here. They have a fantastic old wooden bar that's just fun to belly up to. Their most popular liquor seems to be the huckleberry vodka, which they can serve up in a mule, or in the form of huckleberry pie shots. Their job is to try to push samples on ya- it works! The staff was happy to answer questions and was quick to offer drinks. The place was clean, and is attached to a coffee shop next door that shares the restroom. I ended up with the 1889 Montana Whiskey. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks legit. read more

Great Bar and Distillery! We went twice in the short 2 days that we were in Bozeman! One night we went for night caps (at 7:20pm). They close at 8pm sharp and last call is at 7:30pm so we barely made it. The menu has loads of fun drinks on it and I'm sure they can craft something not on the menu for you too. Both our bartenders were friendly and alone so they were really hopping having to take care of everyone. The inside was decorated super nice with holiday motif and a big Christmas tree. Outside they had more holiday decor and a fun barrel tree that they strung lights on. I thoroughly enjoyed the Hot Rum Cider for my night cap and then during the day when we cruised back I enjoyed the Huckleberry Press! The Hot Rum Cider was prefect on a cold night. Warm and Relaxing. The Huckleberry Press is not sweet and it's very refreshing! I could see sipping on this while sitting by the pool in the summer. read more

Cutest and coolest tasting room in downtown Bozeman that will keep me coming back when I'm in town. The bartendress was so rad; she just graduated from MT State, I believe in fashion design? (Did not ask her name and hope I have that correct) She was great and I wish her all the best! My mom loved the rum cream bulldog drink so she got a bottle of that but we didn't know how to make the drink. What a great first stop on our Bozeman Montana distillery/brewery tour! Bozeman spirits is a great place to try local whiskey and flavors like huckleberry! I had never tried anything huckleberry (as I am a Maryland girl) and wow oh wow are they tasty!! I would say a huckleberry is a sweeter blueberry and makes all of their huckleberry drinks so unique to Montana. I got the huckleberry lemonade and the hubs got the ruby river. The huckleberry lemonade was mixed VERY well by the bartender and the flavors were balanced perfectly. The ruby river was also very tasty featuring blood orange and their ruby river gin. I only wished they served food to make this experience even better! read more

I'll start off by saying that I'm a bourbon / whiskey drinker and don't really do vodka or cocktails. This place seemed like a good hang, but honestly, unless you really like the gimmick involved in drinking huckleberry vodka, it's not worth your time for whiskey. I tried all of their bourbons, since that's my jam and none of them were at all interesting, or.....well, good. Pretty disappointing. But, the atmosphere is nice and it looks like they make some decent cocktails. So, if that's your jam, this could be your place. read more
