Nice place but a little pricy for lunch. Decor and atmosphere was very nice, are service was exceptional but the food was just okay. We left paying $65 for lunch (total, tip and everything) and that was only having water with our meal. It was just okay got $65. Most likely will not be back, although they do have a happy hour with $10 expresso tini so, never say never!

I wasn't sure what to expect from this place but I was just not impressed! The menu is HUGE and has something for everyone on it but the food was just okay. For starters, we had the Korean chicken appetizer which was good but kinda reminded me of some boneless chicken nuggets from Buffalo Wild Wings which was disappointing because from the outside of the restaurant, clothe napkins and real silverware on the tables I expected more. Our server Alana was great and tolerated all my questions about the menu items and even made great recommendations I finally settled on the Bison bacon cheeseburger and parmesan and truffle fries. The burger was about 4ouces cooked so it could have been a double and would have been just enough, the flavors were good, and the parmesan truffle fries were okay but nothing jumped off the plate at me. My date had the Turkey sandwich which also had truffle parmesan fries, she said "my sandwich was okay but not great. I guess that is the theme of this review, Good but not great. I would be willing to give this place another try though.

I booked a dinner presentation for 25 people with urban kitchen recently, and it was an absolute delightful experience. I've done several of these in Bozeman and all Montana and the timing of the dinner around the presentation was remarkable. The order was taken before the presentation, salads on the table as the presentation started and dinner as the presentation was wrapping up. The food was remarkable, especially the Ono that I had. Tyler is a true professional at what he does and I will definitely be booking the banquet room the next time I'm in Bozeman! Thanks, Tyler.

There's a lot to say here. Found this restaurant on Yelp & we are SO pleased with the excellent experience from taste, service and vibe! First off, the establishment has a great trendy vibe, clean & crisp and appealing. We were immediately greeted & seated in the bar and waited in by TJ & Ryan. Excellent & attentive service. I had a Huckleberry Wildflower Hopper and it met my expectations for a light fruity beverage. I chose the Mac & Cheese with a Grilled Shrimp add-on to create a great meal. The cheese melted great and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. The shoe stopper was the Pork Flank!! The flavor of the sauce was mouthwatering & the meat actually fell off the boss with no knife needed! We both kept eating of each other's plate. Great experience. No doubt, we will be back here when we come through town. Thank you for ending our evening with a great experience. We all spend money of food, but too often are left with the "I wish they would haves" or " I wish my meal was XYZ"....but not tonight. 100% perfect evening.

We came here to celebrate my birthday and were looking for a place with no wait and gluten-free options. This spot checked all the boxes! They were super accommodating with my gluten allergy, even making substitutions for my fish dish to ensure it was safe--and it was absolutely perfect. My kids and husband were happy with their meals too, which is always a win. It's a cute, romantic place, and we'd definitely come back again!

Went there due to location. Average at best. Unfortunately the new waitress didn't know anything about gluten free options. Additionally my food came prepared not as the menus stated so I had to send it back due to spice. Although they tried to make it right not sure I'd go back.

I was in Bozeman, Montana today and decided to walk around town and eat lunch. The hotel recommended the Urban Kitchen. They had a good Yelp rating, so I stopped in. The place is trendy, clean, and quiet. I was greeted within about 2 minutes by the host. She was friendly but she forced me to sit at the bar because I was alone. As you can see in the photo, they weren't busy. I didn't want to sit on the uncomfortable bar stool... but wasn't given an option even though restaurant was half empty and a group of 2 were seated farther back. I sat at the bar, and was greeted fairly promptly by the bartender. He got me a drink and a menu. The menu had many items that looked tasty, and I selected the Lemon Garlic Brick Chicken. The bartender asked if 20min cook time fit into my schedule. I appreciated that. About 20min passed and I got my food. It looked good on presentation. The sauce was tasty. It had hints of garlic and lemon. The bok choy was delicious and perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were tasty but too mushy for my liking. The chicken was disappointing. It was tender and moist, but to my surprise was very bland. It tasted like fried breading over boiled chicken. I would say stay clear of the chicken and try their beef or pork. The service by the bartender was great, but the host made me feel like the restaurant saw me as an inconvenience being a solo seat. Definitely not appreciated. The food was mediocre for the expensive price. I may try them again with a burger or steak next time.

The food was fantastic! The staff and our waiter were all super nice! Our drinks were never empty and the mixed drinks were great as well! The Bison filet was tender and cooked perfectly !!

We came for the Garlic Lemon Brick Chicken, and found so much more! This is a cute little bistro with indoor and outdoor patio dining (behind the restaurant). Awesome staff, great service and fantastic food. Could not pause to get photos of entrees, but the chicken and the evening's bison steak with lobster special were both delicious. Would recommend highly, and hope to return.

Service was phenomenal and food was good. A group of nine of us went for lunch and while it was a bit spendy for lunch, the food was good. Truffle fries- yes please!! I had a Greek salad and it was really very good. Would be great for a date night.

Is there anything gluten free on their menu?? Doesnt look like it...

They were extremely accommodating for me as a vegan. I would just give them a call, or pop in and ask them. Super friendly staff-it was great food!! Hope it works out for you.

We started with the beet and burrata salad, which was full of yummy complimenting flavors and fun textures. I think it could have done without the yellow peppers but I just ate around those. The pepitas with the pistachio butter and beets were excellent, and the burrata added a creamy touch. We also tried the frites and fondue. The fries were thick and browned how I like them, but the fondue wasn't my favorite and was a little too overpowering in flavor for my taste. The parmesan on top of the fries was a nice touch. For beverages I had a local pale ale from Bridger brewing that was crisp and went well with the meal, and my partner tried the rotations shrub (peach), which she said was just okay. The star of the show was the arrabiata pasta made with vodka sauce and Calabrian chilis. The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente and was well sauced, truly delicious. The ambiance is nice, and the service was fine. They checked on us frequently but not entirely friendly, maybe our waitress was having a bad day. The meal was a little on the pricier side but I felt the happy hour prices were fair. We would return when visiting Bozeman.

When we came in at around 4pm, there seemed to be plenty of tables available but after an hour, the place quickly filled up. Vibes/Service: Parking lot in the back and it seemed there was some street parking available as well. Many, many tables available with bar seating as well. It can certainly fit a larger group. Great service from our server. Checked on us often and filled up our waters. Food: Because it was our first meal here, we wanted to try out their staple dishes. -Bison Potstickers ($16): 5 pieces topped with mango and garlic chili sauce and served with some coleslaw. Rich and filling, paired well with the sauce. Would order this again! -Bison Patty Melt ($22): it was my first time eating Bison, the waiter suggested medium rare. It looked more red than I usually like but it actually was juicy and tasty-- I guess this is the difference between a regular beef patty. I'd also order this again. -Served with pepper parmesan fries which was so uniquely food. Fries were fresh. -Huckleberry Cream Ale ($8/pint) paired well with my meal.

Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite of what I expected. We were seated quickly on a Monday evening, and our server let us know she was new, which we completely understood since we both work in the service industry. Ordering was simple--my friend mentioned an apple allergy, and we each made straightforward requests. There was a slightly odd moment where the server said she couldn't ring in my friend's order a certain way because the kitchen would "make fun of her," but we brushed it off. Things really went downhill when the food arrived. Both meals were completely wrong. When the food was dropped off (by someone other than our server), there was a snarky comment referencing the apple allergy, which was uncomfortable. We sent the food back, expecting a quick fix--but it came out wrong again. And then a third time. At that point, we were honestly shocked. I've never had an order come out incorrectly three times in a row. Eventually, a manager brought the food out correctly, but there was no real apology for the repeated mistakes. Our server explained it was the kitchen's fault, but it was frustrating that no one double-checked the orders before bringing them out each time. The whole experience ended up taking over two hours, which felt excessive given how simple the order was. We also felt that, given the circumstances, some kind of comp or acknowledgment would have been appropriate, but nothing was offered. Overall, it was a really disappointing and honestly embarrassing experience--especially after talking the place up so much beforehand.

Darker interior, crowded, nicely dressed clientele, this place is "jacked with a cool vibe". Our perch near the food prep station allowed us to watch them making the magic and discussing our choices for dinner. We started with marinated warm mixed beet salad with dill, sherry vinegarette, mint, chili, citrus, pistachios and smoked cherve. This was a show stopper with the dill waking up your mouth and the beet and cheese being perfect. The mafaldine braised lamb sugo and grana padano was good, but just not memorable. The salsiccio fennel sausage, garlic, red onions, sweet onion and chili pizza was another story. The dough was slightly chewy, good airyliness, sweetness and a firmness to hold the ingredients without wilting. A perfect white pie! If you can get reservations or by chance snag a bar seat, get over to Blackbird Kitchen for a nice evening, pleasant staff and delicious dishes, you won't regret it. To the staff at Blackbird, nice job and thank you.

I'll start with appetizers. We ordered oysters and a baguette. The oysters were good but I found the mignonette lacking flavor. There was nothing special about the baguette. We were given two options for compound butter and asked if we could try both. The sweeter of the two options was better and we were charged for the second. My husband and I both ordered ribeyes with chimichurri for our entrees. Both steaks were overcooked and not at all tender. We've had better at more affordable restaurants. I ordered the "Boss Nova" cocktail, the flavors were okay for the most part but it was severely watered down. My husband ordered the non-alcoholic "Cream Dream" and had the same response. The dessert was definitely the star of the show. We opted for the Banana Tarte Tatin and Kladdkaka. It was definitely the highlight of the entire meal. Food aside, the restaurant was a little noisy, which was to be expected. The part of the experience we primarily found lacking was the service. Our waitress very rarely checked on us and only refilled our water once. I'm bummed we had a lackluster experience. If we ever come back, it would just be for dessert.
