We could only get 12 on one large table so 3 were seated on a table close by. That was fine, we are just happy to get us all in together. The service was Outstanding! From our waiter, Dillion, to our sommelier Jen, to the bussers, everyone worked together to get the plates and utensils cleared and replaced, and the wine glasses filled. Our food was amazing! The Beef tartare and the oysters were a hit. The steaks were cooked perfect, and our sides (Asparagus, Brussels Sprouts, Broccolini, and Whipped Potatoes) were excellent. For dessert we had the Baked Alaska & Butterscotch Chantilly. The Chantilly was my favorite and was so good. See my pics for a view. Love this place and will be back! Cheers!

I had the heist salad, brocolini, beets and 28 oz wagyu special for the main. The salad was good, kind of a greek style. It was a little heavy on the vinegar but still good. Everything else was smoked on the hot grill and it really adds to the flavor without overpowering the meal. The smoke and char with a touch of salt was a perfect combination on the brocolini. I normally don't like beets but there were sweet and not overcooked. Surely the star of the night was the wagyu. I asked for it to be between medium rare and medium and that is exactly what they did. The great part was that the char was super nice and crunchy with a perfect salt and pepper rub while the inside was still at the temp I requested. Good overall meal, come prepared to drop a pretty penny for the experience.

We started with the beet and burrata salad, which was full of yummy complimenting flavors and fun textures. I think it could have done without the yellow peppers but I just ate around those. The pepitas with the pistachio butter and beets were excellent, and the burrata added a creamy touch. We also tried the frites and fondue. The fries were thick and browned how I like them, but the fondue wasn't my favorite and was a little too overpowering in flavor for my taste. The parmesan on top of the fries was a nice touch. For beverages I had a local pale ale from Bridger brewing that was crisp and went well with the meal, and my partner tried the rotations shrub (peach), which she said was just okay. The star of the show was the arrabiata pasta made with vodka sauce and Calabrian chilis. The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente and was well sauced, truly delicious. The ambiance is nice, and the service was fine. They checked on us frequently but not entirely friendly, maybe our waitress was having a bad day. The meal was a little on the pricier side but I felt the happy hour prices were fair. We would return when visiting Bozeman.

Some parts were better than others though. I'll start with appetizers. We ordered oysters and a baguette. The oysters were good but I found the mignonette lacking flavor. There was nothing special about the baguette. We were given two options for compound butter and asked if we could try both. The sweeter of the two options was better and we were charged for the second. My husband and I both ordered ribeyes with chimichurri for our entrees. Both steaks were overcooked and not at all tender. We've had better at more affordable restaurants. I ordered the "Boss Nova" cocktail, the flavors were okay for the most part but it was severely watered down. My husband ordered the non-alcoholic "Cream Dream" and had the same response. The dessert was definitely the star of the show. We opted for the Banana Tarte Tatin and Kladdkaka. It was definitely the highlight of the entire meal. Food aside, the restaurant was a little noisy, which was to be expected. The part of the experience we primarily found lacking was the service. Our waitress very rarely checked on us and only refilled our water once. I'm bummed we had a lackluster experience. If we ever come back, it would just be for dessert.

Great service from our server. Checked on us often and filled up our waters. Food: Because it was our first meal here, we wanted to try out their staple dishes. -Bison Potstickers ($16): 5 pieces topped with mango and garlic chili sauce and served with some coleslaw. Rich and filling, paired well with the sauce. Would order this again! -Bison Patty Melt ($22): it was my first time eating Bison, the waiter suggested medium rare. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite of what I expected. We were seated quickly on a Monday evening, and our server let us know she was new, which we completely understood since we both work in the service industry. Ordering was simple--my friend mentioned an apple allergy, and we each made straightforward requests. There was a slightly odd moment where the server said she couldn't ring in my friend's order a certain way because the kitchen would "make fun of her," but we brushed it off. Things really went downhill when the food arrived. Both meals were completely wrong. When the food was dropped off (by someone other than our server), there was a snarky comment referencing the apple allergy, which was uncomfortable. We sent the food back, expecting a quick fix--but it came out wrong again. And then a third time. At that point, we were honestly shocked. I've never had an order come out incorrectly three times in a row. Eventually, a manager brought the food out correctly, but there was no real apology for the repeated mistakes. Our server explained it was the kitchen's fault, but it was frustrating that no one double-checked the orders before bringing them out each time. The whole experience ended up taking over two hours, which felt excessive given how simple the order was. We also felt that, given the circumstances, some kind of comp or acknowledgment would have been appropriate, but nothing was offered. Overall, it was a really disappointing and honestly embarrassing experience--especially after talking the place up so much beforehand.

I was eating solo and was seated really quickly. It was a while before anyone came up to the table to start taking my order. I was going to go with a lower rating, but they redeemed themselves enough. I went pretty simple, a bacon cheeseburger and fries. I did opt for bison since I had never eaten it. My waitress, once she came to the table, was incredibly nice and did check in a few times - not overly so like some can do. I appreciated that. I did order the burger medium and it came out medium well to well, but I attribute that to bison cooking quicker and it really didn't matter to me anyway. Burger was good. Fries were good. I contemplated dessert, but the cookie they serve with the ice cream is oatmeal, but I was told they have a brownie and ice cream option. Sign me up! The waitress brought it out a little later, the brownie nice and warm. It was good. No complaints. This place is t great, but it is good and the food is less expensive than some of the options I had around here. I'd definitely go back if I am in the area again. I might even have to try to get some bison meat at home.

To start, we waited on a Wednesday night for a couple minutes to be sat in a nearly empty restaurant. We ended up sitting at the bar (hoping the service would be best with an attentive bar tender), and began evaluating the menu. This dinner was a business meal with a client. My client ordered the chicken, and I had settled on the steak tartare. I was anticipating to purchase a bottle of wine and located exactly the wine that would pair amazingly, it was a gamay from the Willamette Valley. The waiter told me as I ordered that the steak tartare was small and would be a poor meal choice. After taking his advice, I still desired the gamay and settle for the Rabbit Roulade dish. The server then informed me that he believed that dish was sold out. He returned to tell me that the kitchen was out of that dish, and they had been for some time. Now I was left searching the menu struggling to find an option. I landed on the sweet potato gnocchi. I ordered the Gamay, and the server seemed to have no idea what that wine was. I handed them the menu and pointed it out. The server and bartender stepped away for a couple minutes as they stood at the end of the bar frantically looking in the wine cabinet. They returned to tell me they were also out of the wine I ordered. They then tried to sell me some other wines, but I decided I would rather just do cocktails since that was the only gamay on the menu and there were no burgundy/Beaujolais options. The food came out, and thankfully it was good and had great flavor. This was the only redeeming quality. I immediately asked for an order of cornbread since the sauce was good and demanded a bread to properly clean the plate. I slowed down my eating to enjoy the meal but also to allow the cornbread to come out. It took 25-30min before the server came back, and when I asked about it they went to check. They returned to inform me that the kitchen had made a cornbread but it didn't turn out good, so they were "re-firing" another. At about 40 minutes after the order the cornbread had arrived. My client had finished his meal, an I had finished all but a pool of sauce on my plate. Sadly, due to the time my plate sat idle and the sauce cooled, the sauce separated and split into a mix of butter and oil. This rendered the delivered bread useless for the intended reason for the order. The cornbread tasted okay, but with my meal or within twenty minutes would have been much better. The server and bartender did not check on us besides the aforementioned encounters. Again, the food was good. Based on the times and my own experience as a server, the cornbread I believe was never entered into the computer. The times did not match up for how fast the supposed second order came out in a restaurant with five other patrons in it. Between being out of food, out of wine, and the cornbread fiasco it was not a good business meal or look for an out of state visitor. I tried to be gracious, but again, from my experience as a server left me thinking a drink ($6 beer) or the cornbread may be waived given then totality of the circumstances.... Nothing happened. I was charged for all items and spent $101. I am a 25-30% tipper normally. Tonight I left $10... 10%. That was only because the food flavor was good, and the kitchen deserved that whole tip. If this was a date night, I would have not tipped at all. My 10% tip will be a 0% tip going forward for this establishment, as I will not return again. Order this food takeout, and hope they have what you want or move on. That's my opinion, because service is not good either. I found myself apologizing to my client, and that is an awful place to be. My client even commented, "I'm shocked you tipped and were that kind". When I explained the reason was for food quality he quipped, "yeah but that tip won't go to the kitchen like it should." That is not the conversation I want with a client after a business dinner!

But, my husband and I decided to bite the bullet. There aren't many options for Christmas Eve dining in town anyway. Our waitress, who seemed to also be one of the bartenders was very sweet. We sat close to the entrance so we got a little cold when the front doors opened but it wasn't bad overall. The interior was very cute and inviting. We ordered way too much food but I'll break it down dish by dish... * Lemon Drop: Worth every penny. I wish I had more in a glass. * Bone Marrow: Not bad. It could have used a tad more seasoning but the sourdough bread definitely helped elevate the flavor. I wish the bread was toasted but no big deal. * French Onion Soup: Delicious! My husband hates onions but loved the soup here. It was especially tasty on a semi-cold Christmas Eve night. * 16 oz. Ribeye: Cooked perfectly. I love a cast iron seared steak and the beef tallow made it even better. We decided to split a steak - already knowing we'd order way more than two people could eat. * Lobster Mac & Cheese: It was much better than I was expecting. * Heirloom Baby Carrots: There was something about this dish that just didn't do it for me. I'm not sure if it was the spices, or lack of, but still better than others. * Cornbread skillet: A reliable side if it's something you're craving but nothing to write home about. * Cookie skillet: Not very exciting. The cookie was okay but the huckleberry ice cream made it much better. * Dow's 10-year: Treat yourself! This port was the perfect balance of sweet and smooth. My husband also ordered french fries and there was nothing special about 'em. He's not a fan of truffle fries so these were plain. I personally think the truffle fries would have been a better option. All in all, our bill was about $240. Definitely not an every day dining experience for us but we're happy to come back, with a few menu alterations, on special occasions.
