Key lime pie and espresso martini
Lauren K.

My family and I had a wonderful and fun experience at the Owl Lounge. We tried about 4 or 5 different martinis throughout the night and they were ALL delicious! The staff and bartenders were nice and loved making the cocktails. The vibe was great with bar seating, tables, and nice booth seats along the wall. One of my favorites in Livingston for sure.

Truly the best hotel bar I've experienced…read more They consider themselves a dive bar, but I disagree. This hidden gem located in the basement of The Kimpton Armory hotel. No cover. Live music I think nightly. Great drinks. Food too. What more could you ask for? I've seen some great bands here. Many seating options from booth in the back to tables in the middle to the bar rail. Excellent place to grab a drink, listen to music, bring a date, or come solo. Can't wait to come back!

I hate to compare but it's crazy how different two places can be in the same hotel. The service here was abysmal. We came at the end of someone's set and it wasn't that crowded in the bar but almost every single table was dirty, with empty glasses on them. There seemed to be one bartender and another person helping. That person literally just stood there talking to people instead of cleaning up the tables. The bartender was pretty rude too and didn't seem to be into working here at all. The only clean table was by the door and it kept getting opened while the next band set up so we just moved to a table with dirty glassware on it. The drinks were pretty lackluster (especially compared to the awesome ones upstairs). I don't think it was that the menu was inferior to the other, I just think the bartender didn't care. Both my drinks were watered down and icy. Pretty sad for the price to be honest. It got pretty crowded for the second set being played so we decided to leave to let other people sit. I wasn't interested in having another icy sad drink.

Stopped into Copper on a Friday evening and grabbed seats at the bar before heading down to…read moreYellowstone the next day. The food and drinks were excellent, but the highlight of the night was Trent. We were looking for recommendations on things to do in the area, and Trent absolutely delivered. Scenic drives, sightseeing spots, Yellowstone stops, local attractions--you name it, he had a recommendation for it. The suggestions were coming faster than we could write them down, and every time we thought he was done, he'd remember three more places we needed to see. His food and cocktail recommendations were spot on, and he was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. As an added bonus, his voice carries exceptionally well, so hearing all of those recommendations was never an issue, even on a busy Friday night. Copper is a great spot, but Trent is what made the experience memorable. If you find yourself sitting at his bar, settle in--you'll leave with a great meal, a great drink, and a much longer list of places to visit than you arrived with.

Food and service was pretty average - we like to order an adult beverage before dinner and peruse the menu. We were told the bar was backed up so we should get our food order in. So, not a take-your-time kinda place. Not rude, but not chill. Shared a 1/2 portion wedge salad @ $12 - perfect for two and tasty. Main entrees were a bit disappointing: 8 oz Tenderloin Filet @ $54 was cooked a bit more than requested and it came with (2) baked potatoes which we've never seen before (+ $4 upcharge). The Pan Seared Trout @ $34 was prepared nicely but there is not any flavor; served w/ a Blackberry BBQ but very sparingly. Super bland. Would come back to visit the bar - would consider ordering a burger, but wouldn't return for the main entrees.

Are you attending a weekly conference call at 2pm on a Monday, or are you going to the local rodeo grounds to shoot the shit with the grounds crew? Very friendly and helpful nonetheless. The food suited the price tag. $15.50 for a very good chicken sandwich that was a perfect portion of meat between the buns. The Cajun fries are an absolute must. Very tasty and can be eaten with or without your choice of sauce. The setting itself is very neat - a mix of modern, contemporary and old bones. A dated wooden barn with modern tables, chairs and lighting make for a pleasant place to enjoy a local Montana brew. However, I don't think people come to the Hop Lounge to watch an original video of a DJ in his casa making the next platinum label. Give the people some nice tunes (that aren't so loud they bounce off your own walls) and throw on a sports game or something. You can never go wrong with a Wednesday evening Sox-Cubs game to sip your beer to. There could be a couple more waitresses, the young gal we had was doing her best to keep up but it was clearly a daunting task. Due to the timely wait, a second beer became a second thought and paying for our bill took some time. Again, not the waitresses fault. She did a very good job and was very helpful. Overall, the employees were very friendly, the food was good, and the beer selection was large enough to feed my buddies mom for
