My Buffalo Chicken sandwich had been ordered 'fried'; but it was soggy - not one bite of crunch. Overall tho, fries (sweet potato and original) and the onion rings had been tasty. Brian, our bartender / server, was very nice and attentive. The only negative thing that was a disappointment (other than soggy chicken) had been the beverage prices - the menu had lower prices than what had been billed. If you're looking for a cheap dive bar this is your place. This is one of the few spots that are open later than 9:30pm-10pm so it's a good late night place. It's right in Gardiner so this could be a good spot to go after spending the day in Yellowstone National Park. There are pool tables and a small casino for entertainment. There are also TVs playing sports. The wells are roughly $4-5 which attracts a lot of people making it a crazy bar late at night. It was relatively tame at around 10pm when I arrived but once it hit 10:30pm-11pm it was packed and there was a huge crowd waiting to order at the bar. I have never written a review for a place in which I was in less than 3 minutes but here goes: walk into rural Montana bar with no expectations other than good service. Bar is crowded. I approach waitress and ask if there is a wine list. She asks main bartender who looks at me like I am from another planet and said "no. Red and white." When I politely asked "what kind of white" (ie., chardonnay, viognier), she replied "I don't know. White is white." Lack of knowing anything about what wine you do or don't have disqualifies you from being a good bartender. Even with almost no expectations, this place was still a let down. Place was run down, not a lot of machine selection and the staff/service is horrible! Do not go!! My husband went to the bar to cash our tickets from the slot machines. After waiting very patiently for a long period of time the bartender finally got to him. She took his tickets, but then proceeded to wait on several other people (probably local people she knew). She then left the building. He (thinking she was leaving) went outside to ask if he could get them money owed for the tickets. She advised she was on break and would get his money when she came back. He went back to the bar to resume patiently waiting. A guy with a rusty rail bar shirt then came up and got in his face and proceeded to challenge him about about getting rude with a bartender on a 10 hour shift. My husband was not rude. Very poorly managed restaurant, we had a group reservation and still took 2 hours to get our food, which was mediocre. Let alone 20 minutes to get any drinks with no refills. After we were finished, the bartender was confrontational about getting no tip, then proceeded to confront some group members complaining about our group leader and asking for a tip. THIS PLACE HAS ME FUMED. The service was ok, hut only by one of the employees, and I had ordered a bison burger, and a side salad, and the price on the menu was what I thought was accurate. But when my check came, it was a different price. This is outrageous. I don't mind paying 4 or 5 dollars for a SIDE salad, but to be charged 7 for a small salad(size of a fist full​), is unacceptable. We have gone in twice now to eat. We had great service from the bartenders but the kitchen needs serious help! Both times we waited an hour for our main meal. First visit my husband ordered the special. Green beans came out cold and the bread was a hot dog bun hard as a rock! Second visit we ordered a nacho appetizer. They may as well have just brought us a pile of chips. It was an hour before we got our main dinner. I ordered the special. It was advertised as chicken Alfredo with broccoli and toast. I got Alfredo and was told they decided to give me a salad. I wanted broccoli and toast. We will not be eating here again but must say the bartenders are their best asset and management needs definite work!! read more

This is a hole in the wall "beer joint." They have a nice selection of local beers as well as a "deep fryer" menu. We had wings and mozzarella sticks. They were fine, same as you get anywhere. They are also one of the only places in town where you can eat past 10PM. read more

I must say for a bar in the middle of nowhere it was pretty damn cool. First off when you walk in you notice a wheel you can spin for prizes. I spun it and won 2 dollars in nickels lol. Then they had a casino in the back where my fiancé player keno for 3 hours. While you play the slots you get free drinks lol. So my fiancée liked that. I watched and was her dd that night. But the female bartender was so nice. She was from New Jersey and told me I was so polite. She hooked my fiancée up with a bigger margarita. The manager of the place who wears glasses was also so sweet and nice. I wish we would have won something because they deserved a huge tip. I'm a local and have been coming to the rail for a few years now. Good thing you all have the BEST bartenders in town, otherwise I'd have to stop coming here. Since Delaware North took over, the quality of food has gone down significantly. All I ordered this past time was a Caesar salad and fries. The chicken on the salad was clearly canned, and the ice berg lettuce wasn't even cut up or anything. This is just one example. Very disappointed since Delaware North took over. Do better! read more

After a wonderful day of traveling through Yellowstone we are exhausted and desperate to find a pet friendly hotel. Luckily we found Best Western but unluckily he told us about you guys. We walked in with everyone staring and not one hello. We continue to walk from the bar into the restaurant area (where customers were still being served) and we are about to sit down at a table. Until we hear a worker (female with brown hair getting drunk with her friends/coworkers) yelling at us across the restaurant saying "NOPE, we are CLOSED. Turn around, CLOSED I said." We have traveled to many states and never have we been treated so poorly the moment we walk in. I hope she gets what's coming for her.
