    Miso Soup

Excellent ambiance and view. The best Miso Soup I ever had and the Tiramisu was to die for. My server Emma was awesome and there were amazing people everywhere to take care of the guests. The hosts where welcoming and joyful. It's wonderful to sit by the fire and watch people skiing

The worst, and ironically most expensive meal we've had on the mountain. I would recommend skipping the overpriced "Asian fusion" which is really just "mediocre, Asian ingredient filled, food." We had the poke nachos, which were by far the highlight of our dining here. The flavor was nice, but the portion size was maybe 8 wontons crisps. We also had the green papaya salad, which could have used the traditional bed of sticky rice, to make this a more hearty and full flavored appetizer. Then we split a noodle bowl with tofu. This dish was a whopping $22 and maybe worth $10. The flavor was off, heavy with ginger and vinegar, while simultaneously being bland with peanut. Not sure how this was accomplished, but it was. We often eat Asian food at home, both traditional and chef inspired fusion dishes, and this place did not live up to any of them. Want to guess what our meal cost, even with splitting an entree? 80$ what?!? And not to mention it took a rather long time for our drinks to come out. My final drink was served with the check, which I took "to-go". This spot was not full and there shouldn't have been a bar back up. The wine, beer, and cider are all more costly than any of the other spots. So would I return? Nope. No thanks. Not again.

a glass of coffee on a table

My friend and I sat here for most of our day while our friends skied and enjoyed the amazing service by Sara, Billy, and Steve. We tried their espresso martini, the toddy, the lemongrass marg and our waiter Billy's take on an Irish coffee for drinks and every one was delicious. For food, we had the dumplings, the lettuce cups, and the poke and those also hit the spot. The reviews referring to the price might be forgetting this is a big resort so the prices are going to match that. The service makes the price point absolutely worth it. We so appreciated the attentive service and Billy's great drink recs.

Came in for a break from skiing to grab some lunch. Ordered the burger. It was okay, a little overcooked, and the bacon was super overcooked, borderling burnt. The fries were opposite, they were undercooked, lol. The hot chocolate was bomb though!

Salmon salad. Salmon is super fresh and cooked perfectly.

This place has a cozy atmosphere and a friendly waitstaff blah blah. But the star of the show for me is the food, especially the salmon salad - it's just so good. This is sort of random but I'm also surprised about how delicious their iced tea is? It's not flavored or anything but it's done just right with a lemon wedge from lemons selected by someone who knows citrus.

Don't need a passive aggressive waitress to spend $25 on a cocktail in a half empty place. Wow attitude.

Staff is friendly, and service and ambience are good. Food is pretty mediocre and limited.

With our expectations in check, we chose this restaurant for last nights supper. What a pleasant surprise!! The menu was comprised of interesting dishes that you won't find every day. The service was spot on. Knowledgeable, friendly, patient, welcoming. Our dishes were a pure delight. We enjoyed Idaho trout, bison steak, their speciality salad, and blueberry bread pudding. Every dish was delightful; fresh, full of local flavors. If you visit West Yellowstone, this place is the second most important destination right after the park!

The Huckleberry lemonade was very good and was recommended. While Reis was good, the asparagus and mashed potatoes were very good. The bison tenderloin was good, but I think it's better served as a ground meat in a burger form. It was tender, but not as flavorful as some of the other bison, I've recently had. The ambience is a pub/bistro setting. The service was exceptional as my server attended to me several times to check in on how was my meal

We are staying at the Montage Big Sky and came down to Alpenglow for a 2pm lunch on a Tuesday…read moresitting right by the bar. Food: - steak frites was expensive but good. Fries were great and steak was well prepared. Pricy at $42 but fine given location. Would order again. - Alpenglow signature salad ($22): Worst salad I've ever had. Don't get this. The dressing actually just taste like lightly vinegared water and the lettuce was soggy (how in the world do you pull this off?). They might be just not drying the salad and pulling it straight from the fridge. It was gross. Both of us were still hungry but couldn't punish ourselves into finishing it. Service: Service at the hotel has been fantastic so far -- everyone has been friendly and helpful, so the terrible service at Alpenglow was a big shock. There were only 2 other parties and yet somehow - server messed up our order and didn't apologize - we had to walk up to get order taken - we had to walk up to get bill after trying to get attention for 5 minutes, mostly because server was just chilling and hanging out with staff (there weren't many customers) - checked in on our meal zero times - got the bill wrong and didn't apologize. I had to flag it to them. Messing up the order AND the bill AND not apologizing is too much. This is a gorgeous 5 star hotel with wonderful staff all around, but restaurant experiences matter and 1 star service from them really detracts.
