Enchiladas Rojas with chicken
Ashley B.

This is going by to be the best Mexican food you can find from West Yellowstone to Bozeman. Everything about the dining experience is enjoyable. The staff is on top of their game! The chips and dip are alway fresh and made in house! I really enjoy the different variations of tacos and enchiladas they have. Albertos had much more of an authentic menu, majority of their tortillas will be corn. Alberto's is known for their fajitas and margaritas. Sitting outside with friends makes everything that much better. This time I ordered the enchiladas Rojas they were perfect. Great portions with enough to take home. The flavor was good and the enchiladas were light but filling. Thank you guys for being so amazing and always seating every party that comes in. Definitely a highlight in town center.

Really nice time here. Came in with a large group and was able to be seated almost immediately. Fast service too. I had the steak quesadillas which were delicious and would recommend.

While walking through big ski town we found this cute Mexican resaurant. The chips and queso were AMAZING! The chips were so good we wanted to take another basket home! The cheese was out in a skillet and you can get it topped with meat or mushrooms. I also enjoyed my meal of pollo asado! You can pick from rice and black beans or refried beans. Others at the table got tacos which they also liked. Kind server who wrote down and remembered our exact orders with substitutions!

I have only ever ordered takeout from Alberto's so can't comment on service. But food is really good. Recommend the enchiladas mole.

They even have vegan cheese, which was such a nice surprise! The food had so much flavor and the portions were perfect. Plus, the NA margaritas were super yummy. This is definitely something Bozeman needed, and I'm so excited to finally have a great Mexican restaurant in town!

When we arrived around 5 p.m., I noticed a sign near the entrance that read, "Everyone is Welcome Here except I.C.E." with additional commentary beneath it. Seeing that felt politically charged and out of place for a restaurant, especially when all we wanted was a relaxed dinner with friends. After discussing it, our group decided to leave. I politely told the hostess we were leaving because of the sign, and she replied, "Oh, you must've voted for Trump. We believe everyone is welcome here." I responded that politics shouldn't be part of dining out, and she said, "You can take your business elsewhere." We did just that and went to Alberto's instead, where the food was great and the staff was kind and professional. If you're looking for a welcoming environment focused on good food and service rather than political statements, I recommend Alberto's over Tres Toros.

My family and I went to Taqueria Malverde after visiting Yellowstone National Park and were excited…read moreto get dinner that wasn't burgers or sandwiches. The Forbes Yellowstone book mentions it and the Yelp reviews were good, so we decided to give them a try. Taqueria Malverde is open until 9pm most if not all days of the week and they have people lined up outside their truck fight until closing time. Note that this place is a taco truck in West Yellowstone and so they only have outdoor seating and takeout. With that said, they have an extensive menu that is not only limited to tacos but also includes burritos, pozole, tamales, platos, and tortas. The workers all speak fluent Spanish and English. They also make their own fresh tortillas in house. We ordered two PLATO POLLO (CHICKEN) TAMALES ($13.99) and one PLATO CARNE ASADA ($19.99) to go. Note that they only have outdoor seating and the mosquitos are out in the evening. The PLATO TAMALES came with two tamales, but they were unfortunately tasteless and the chicken inside of them was dry. They really needed the salsa verde (or salsa rojo) to give them some taste. The rice and beans were good though. They were maybe 4 inches in length and so one plate can really only fill one person. For $13.99, the plate was pretty steep for what we got. The PLATO CARNE ASADA was slightly better, but not by much. The beef was tough, dry, and stringy and tasted more like jerky than carne asada. It came with 3 small flour tortillas, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, grilled jalapeño, and avocado. Again, the rice and the beans were the highlight of the meal, although the vegetables tasted fresh. Service was good and we got our food within 15-20 minutes after ordering. So why the one star instead of maybe two or two and a half stars? They only gave us one plate of tamales, even though we paid for two plates. It wasn't until we got back to our hotel in Island Park that we realized we only had two out of three of our dishes. Maybe the plate had gotten left behind or maybe it was poor communication between the cashier and the served. Regardless, we spent $16 more with tax and tip than we received. Rule of thumb: If you go here, make sure to check your order before you leave the truck. Overall: 2/5 for food, 1/5 for service

I ordered the 3 taco (carne asada) plate for $15.00. This came with rice, beans, and prepackaged salsa. The rice and beans were tasty and well seasoned and I appreciated the pickled carrots that added a palate cleanser to the dish. As for the tacos, they were filled with meat, onions and cilantro. The meat was a little greasy, but had good flavor with the addition of the green salsa. The tortillas were a little tender and tended to break when you tried to pick them up, but they provided silverware to make it easier to eat. For what you get, this was a good buy.

Each one generously coated with chopped onion and cilantro, garnished with a hefty hot pepper and carrots - and a double tortilla for each one to keep all that deliciousness contained. Shrimp were cooked to perfection - juicy yet not too messy. Plenty of benchtop seating right outside the bus - and the perfect stop right nearby the airport on your way to wherever you're off to thereafter. Took a large group of 12 boys there for a bachelor party and they treated us like kings. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good bite that won't break the bank!
