Had a PBR. Tasted like PBR. Making this longer to be a review. That way it'll be a review.

Great place. Very nice staff, unlike all the other reviews these people know how to host. I 10/10 recommend having a drink here

Food was great. Owner even came to table to ask if food was ok. Definitely check them out. Will be eating here again when we return to BS.

Great for locals to grab a beer but that's about it. Food was pretty terrible, packaged and processed, burnt buns, dry meat.

Delicious & messy food, craft beer, cocktails. Live music. Patio & indoor seating…read more All 14 of us gathered here on a weekday evening! One of few venues that would take reservations of this size group. They have a good amount of indoor seating. We sat on the umbrellaed patio, near the musician, just around the corner of the bar from games like cornhole. They were busy, but service was attentive. Many of us had craft beers and cocktails. Everyone was pleased, but i could not list all the beverages for you. We had at least one yummy fresh arugula salad with sirloin cooked-to-order and a lot of flavorful bacon, blue cheese crumbles, green onion, tomatoes, balsamic glaze, and thick "Texas" toast. We shared a number of the many appetizers: Crispy-coated sweet-chili Thai Shrimp were rather small but quite tasty. The tray of nachos was a glorious mess of beans, sauces and crema, mixed melty cheeses, olives, and meat ... i think we got the rich ground "buffalo". The "buffalo balls" were even messier: meatballs in deep gravy over mashed potatoes smothered in sautéed onions and mushrooms. We had "chicken "bites" with two of their yummy flavorings. The soft pretzels and cheese were long thick almost-loaves. And i completely lost track of the mains: several of their loaded burgers and overloaded tacos. The star was the 12oz medium-rare ribeye, topped with herb butter & demi glacé, loaded garlic redskin mashed potatoes, & thick garlic toast. This was a great immersion in great food, drink, ant atmosphere. The $44 ribeye was one of the top-two steaks we had during our trip. (July 2026). Pro tip: every steak is town was good, even the bargains you can find with a little hunting. But be sure to pay a little more once or twice to get the best.

The photos looked amazing, so after we checked in, we drove a few blocks to the place. Parking is limited but we luckily scored a spot. Atmosphere is very cool, bar/restaurant like with sports playing on large TVs throughout. It was kind of warm in there...not sure if they had a working A/C or if it just couldn't keep up with the bodies inside. There was a wait to be seated but not too bad. Maybe 15 mins and the place was packed. We were seated at a bar-like table between the actual bar seating and tables. The waitress was nice and had personality but was a bit stressed out and a little testy after we asked about our food 30+ mins after ordering it. Even the drinks took a long time to be served. I finally gave up and ran to the restroom...of course the food came as soon as I left. It works that way a lot for me. lol The drinks were good - the food was pretty good. Prices are expensive here, but pretty much on par with the rest of the restaurants in town. It's a tourist town in high season and they all know it. We determined not to come back for the next day's meals based on the slow speed of service and try different places in town instead.

There is a bar side and a restaurant side. Service has always been attentive and friendly. There is also a casino inside with fun games. Perfect place to hangout after a long day of fishing. Lodging- 2 stars. We used to stay in the cute cabins until about 3 years ago. Everything on the inside is outdated. It didn't feel clean. The bathroom was mildewed and smelled . I hope they choose to remodel the inside of the cabins because they do look cute from outside. But the inside does leave a lot to be desired. So we no longer stay there, but we eat almost all meals there because they are the bomb. I think management hasn't redone the rooms because there is not a whole lot of selection of where you can stay here and everything fills up very quickly, regardless of the quality because it is a smaller town. And now with the new Madison TV show I'm sure more people will be coming out, and there will be even less places to stay.

We went again tonight and while the cattleman's cutlet (aka chicken fried steak) was tasty enough, and my wifes' meatball sandwhich has some Italian nuances to it, the menu has become rather boring. Even the fish and chips are no longer on the menu???? Clearly the new management has chosen to make this just your average diner, with a below average menu. Why they put mussels on the appetizer menu is mind boggling. Really? Mussels in Ennis? Scary. Abby did a formidable job trying to keep up. She and only one other waiter were frantically running around, while the manager stood around watching for the most part. Next time we will go into town, where the G-bar and the Longbranch Saloon have a more diverse menu and better staffed. Not to mention Burnt Tree Pizza!

We got here about 8pm, and there were plenty of tables available on both levels. On the first floor, we ordered and paid for our brews at the bar along the right wall, and carried them to our table. We then ordered food on the first floor, at the counter at the back on the left. They gave us a number to display on our table, and later they brought our food to us. We sat upstairs near the games, with a balcony overlooking the bar. We liked the Kettlehouse Snowblind "white stout", which had a rich creamy coffee chocolate-stout flavor and a dark amber, not chocolatey, color. The Bridger Raspberry Kalamansi "kettle sour" was tart and not too sweet, not too much raspberry. Katabatic made a crisp fresh American IPA. Pool tables and games were available most of the time, with everyone giving other tables a turn. The pool tables were in great condition: flat, level, unworn. Among the best we found in town. The tables were mostly adults. The kids played with some toys. Everyone played some cornhole. Some of us shopped the merch area on the first floor near the door. The fried okra app was tender and lightly breaded, and we got the regular ranch dipping sauce instead of the chipotle version. The Spicy Elk Chili was made with red beans and mixed vegetables. The sides of cheddar, white onions, and sour cream were kind of small, but we didn't request more. The cornbread was nicely crumbly, not cake-y, with good not-too-sweet corn flavor. The Seared Ahi Tuna Salad was loaded with a huge tender sweet sesame-crusted tuna steak over a generous heap of fresh mixed greens, red onions, and half grape-tomatoes, zinged-up with a sprinkling of wasabi peas, brightened with slightly-sweet huckleberry mojo dressing. The Fried Catfish Po-Boy had a good-size thick slab of tender sweet fish in a thin crunchy crust, tomatoes, and a little house-made remoulade, on a fresh soft hoagie bun, with a side of lightly-creamy slaw. Food was hot, generous, flavorful, and moderately priced. Beer was quick and cold. We had a very good time, with some minor complaints that lost them one star. Food came up a little at a time. Somehow it got separated into two orders. We shared everything, but the pickier hungry kids had to wait a little. And it was noticeable that there were a lot of kids upstairs by the games. I got hit and slightly startled by a soft cornhole bag! If we were here without our kids, we might sit on the first floor. Or better, bring enough friends to take over the seats near the pool tables.
