Service is top notch -- always been friendly, attentive, and just the right amount of urgency. Drink and food prep times have been good, during both slow and busy visits. Guinness and Harp on tap -- so get your half and half's flowing (black and tan's; I've always been told by my native Irishman is made with Bass). I could care less what anyone else calls it -- just get me one!! Hahahah!!! The inside is an old school pub feel and I just love it! Was the service slow? Yes. Was the food worth the wait? BIG YES…read more I know a lot of reviews mention how slow the service was, so let's get that big elephant out of the way. Yes. It took a while. There was one waitress for the whole area. I feel like maybe the bartenders could have helped run food a little more but whatevs. Full disclosure, before we got our food....I would have rated this place lower. But. Oh. The. Food. My heavenly, small town, delighted tastebuds heck...the food! We ordered bangers and mash, the corned beef, and the Shepard pie. And we ate it all like we were on death row and it was our last meal! DELICIOUS! The Shepards Pie is something I'll dream about. Hearty and robust, but somehow not heavy. Perfect for a cold winter night or a hot summer day! And don't sleep on the soda bread! It's not only the best I've ever had. Paired with a smear of that lightly salted butter...it's enough to make me grab an employment application and ask if they can pay me in food! Bottom line- slow but sweet service for a REALLY good meal!

They even had the old fashioned swinging doors, except they had one propped open so you couldn't really swing them open. The rustic decor is super cool! I went with a scoop of huckleberry ice cream, my oldest had a scoop of vanilla ice cream and my youngest had the biscuit strawberry shortcake. Everything was wonderful! I was greeted with a very warm smile and sat rather quickly for a busy Sunday morning. The coffee was hot and fresh. I had the biscuits and gravy breakfast, which came with a couple eggs cooked to order, crispy bacon, and hashbrowns that were perfect. The biscuit and gravy definitely hit the spot. The servers were kind, smiling and very efficient. It feels like stepping back into a diner when I was a kid to get breakfast with the family. You are sitting with locals who know where to go to get a good breakfast. It was a casual atmosphere with pick-ups in the parking lot and boots under the tables. I will be back.

After several minutes passed and getting no service, I went to the bar to ask for a menu and returned to my table. Ended up eating in the bar area as the diner side had closed but the bar was still open. Fried shrimp, fries, onion rings and burgers were good and as expected for a diner. A menu online here on yelp showed $12-20 entrees when it is now more like $15-24 entrees. But we were hungry and it worked out. Bartender / waiter was attentive and helpful.

The wait is not that long.. we came here as walk in's 2x on our 1week stay that started in Bozeman, went down to Yellowstone, then to Idaho for UTV riding and then to Jackson Hole WY to go see the Teton National Park. It was nice to walk around the local shops while we waited and then afterwards to work off those delicious carbs. Thin crust pizzas clean, fresh, not heavy and seasonal ingredients. The crust is soooo good. Chewy and some char. We had: Montana Burger Royale My teen son dreams about this. Yes its 27.00 and he said its the BEST burger he's ever had. I would have to agree (and we live in Austin TX where there's great cow) -the burger meat melted in your mouth -the egg dripping as you break the yolk was perfection. The bacon so juicy, the brioche bun (that was the winning touch) We shared: Hot Honey Pizza- so good 9/10 Spicy Burrata- also great. 8/10 Mac n cheese- that was the only miss. Way under seasoned and the white sauce seemed to get sucked up by the pasta so the dish was super dry. 3/10 Frites and Fondue- fries were great. Thick cut with finely shaved pecorino. Could have used a heaping more of the shaved cheese. -the fondue was ok, seemed still under seasoned or just not creamy enough? I'd swap that for some roasted garlic with the truffle oil. 6/10 Local brews and ciders were great! 9/10 Huckleberry Cheesecake 9/10 save room for this bad boy. We split it between 4 people. Not too sweet. Tart and delightful! The world cup was on the TV so it was a hopping place even as it rained during a late June evening. Parking garage nearby is free for 2hrs so thats cool! It wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but definitely wasn't the worst either. The Montana Burger was really good, and the bacon was amazing. Unfortunately, the service didn't improve from there. I ordered the meatballs, and they had to be sent back twice. The first time they came out cold. The second time they came back mushy that they were inedible. After the second attempt, I asked to have the meatballs removed from the bill since I never received an acceptable dish. Instead of trying to make it right, the bartender told me they would not remove them from the check. Everyone can have an off night, but what really left a bad impression was the lack of customer service and unwillingness to correct the problem. For the amount we spent, I expected much better food, service, and a willingness to stand behind what was served.
