Cooking bulgogi.
Nancy S.

The people here are lovely. We came in mid-afternoon so it was in-between shifts for servers, so service took a while. We were not in a hurry. It was my husband's birthday, so we opted for the BBQ, and grilled the meat ourselves. We started with kimchi pancakes and those were quite good. I liked the cucumber salad and the sauce that came with. We had short ribs ( flanken style), pork belly, and bulgogi. The side dishes are great edamame, kimchi, rice, noodles, cucumber salad and sauces. A lot of food! The place is quaint, and parking is in the rear. It was a good experience.

This place was GREAT!! We came in on a Tuesday night before the rodeo. They were BUSY and we were starving but the food was worth the wait and delicious. There were about 3 servers getting drinks and meals out tag teaming the process. We got the Bin Dae Duk pancakes as an app. I got the teriyaki chicken, my daughter got the JaJang Myeon and my wife got the Ramen. We all enjoyed what we ordered and brought our leftovers back to our hotel which we enjoyed the next day. I'd come back here for sure!! Everyone was so nice even with as busy as it was.

Very tasty and cool vibe! The pancakes were delicious and THICK - 4 in total. Definitely more than an appetizer! Can't wait to go back and try other things!

This place is probably the closest you can get for Korean food, but probably hard for them to get those ingredients so there are few changes to the ingredients such as the noodles. The service is great. The beef was little bit on a brunt side and didn't have much meat, the favor was good just not what I'm used to for Korean food. I wouldn't call it an authentic Korean place, but it wasn't bad.

I know this place has lots of raving reviews and I was so looking forward to eating here. I ordered the bul-go-gi-Bob and it was just okay. I'm no stranger to Korean food, both from restaurants and friends, and this lacked the impressive flavors I've become accustomed to. Service was super friendly and the restaurant is simple and cute. The entryway is really cool, recommend stopping and looking at all the pictures and awards.

Happy hour items

I've been to I-Hos a couple times and they never disappoint! This time my partner and I went for their infamous happy hour, which is on Fridays 3-5PM and only $12 a person. The amount of food you receive for the amount you pay is absurd (in a good way)! The cucumber salad was my favorite from everything offered, but runner ups were the Stir-fry chicken and the wontons. The service was speedy; the waitress made sure we were set on refills. Overall, an amazing place and an amazing experience, we will be back!

Our food was delicious! We did not know what to order and the server was very helpful in making a decision. I-ho had passed only 2 weeks before we visited and there were photos and flowers everywhere in her honor. It was very sweet and welcoming it seems as though she was a very highly respected member of the community. We enjoyed our visit here very much. I got the John special and we got the spicy seafood ramen. Both were delicious! Portions were quite large so the value was great. It was not too busy but they had a good crowd and there were lots of to go orders being picked up as well. The table next to us were doing the Korean BBQ which looks amazing! Next time we will have to do that it seems as though guests made reservations for this as there are only 2 BBQ tables.

Tofu donut

Excellent authentic Korean food. Our server was entertaining and would definitely come back again. We had the LA galbi, the Duk-Bok-Gi and the tofu donut for dessert.

First time here but I'm glad I finally took the time to try it! The food here was better than I imagined! Servers and staff were very friendly and fast. I love that the partner with the library and have a little book shelf you can buy $5 books from! Makes the ambiance cool and casual.

Doenjang-jjigae
Lynn N.

Their menu has enough variety so everyone can find something they like. The doenjang-jjigae, soybean paste stew was so flavorful and easily the best meal during our stay in Montana. It was packed with veggies and tofu and was well seasoned. The employees are friendly, even with how busy they were. There are tables of all sizes for groups or individuals. It's easy to walk to from the downtown area.

It's not exactly Korean food that tastes like real Korean food, but it's definitely the best Korean food you'll find around here.

However, the most appealing one had strawberries in it, and they were out of them. They were also out of the tacos, which was a little surprising since we got there an hour after they opened. We ended up having the nachos and the oysters. The oysters were good. The nachos were OK. The drinks were also very underwhelming. My son had a Paloma and I have tasted way way better. Service was good. Everyone was friendly and answered all of our questions. The Devil's Toboggan EXCEEDED our expectations. We found this "randomly" and decided to go because of the prohibition vibes. The second you walk into the Toboggan, you step back in time. We were immediately greeted and sat at the bar. We ordered an old fashion and Huckleberry Lemon Drop (recommend both). Honestly, I don't think it matters what you order...it's going to be good. Let's talk about the customer service. A+ ladies and gents! We ended up having a great conversation with the bar back and other patrons which topped off the experience. P.S. if you like deviled eggs, get them. They are delicious, especially if they still have the ones with the sausage. #drool

The wings especially had the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Drinks were also great. What really made the experience stand out though was the service. I usually don't haunt hotel bars but I had a F&B credit and I read really good reviews about this place, so we decided to come in and check it out. We sat at the bar and that was a great idea. The bartender was friendly and made us laugh a lot. She was also very good at her job and made us some excellent cocktails. We ordered from the cocktail menu, but she was ready to make whatever you wanted, except for a Captain and Mountain Dew because unfortunately they don't have Mountain Dew at the hotel. And don't worry, it wasn't me ordering that. Not that I'd shame anyone for their cocktail choices but the gentleman and lady next to us had some interesting combinations they wanted to order. We also ordered the carrot cake pops. Man those were good too. We contemplated coming in the next day for some more. We liked them that much. The ambiance of this rooftop bar is also fantastic. It's large and decorated really well but the piece de resistance was the outside and the views of Downtown Bozeman. The cozy fire pits and comfy seating were very appealing. I only wish we didn't stroll in from our hotel room and wore more clothes so we could have sat out there the whole time. Oh well, there's always next time.

I hate to compare but it's crazy how different two places can be in the same hotel. The service here was abysmal. We came at the end of someone's set and it wasn't that crowded in the bar but almost every single table was dirty, with empty glasses on them. There seemed to be one bartender and another person helping. That person literally just stood there talking to people instead of cleaning up the tables. The bartender was pretty rude too and didn't seem to be into working here at all. The only clean table was by the door and it kept getting opened while the next band set up so we just moved to a table with dirty glassware on it. The drinks were pretty lackluster (especially compared to the awesome ones upstairs). I don't think it was that the menu was inferior to the other, I just think the bartender didn't care. Both my drinks were watered down and icy. Pretty sad for the price to be honest. It got pretty crowded for the second set being played so we decided to leave to let other people sit. I wasn't interested in having another icy sad drink.
